I'd like to see more creative use of art in AAA games instead of a push for photorealism. I find stylised looks to be more exciting and also help develop a game's unique iconography/look - Borderlands, TF2, Dishonered, The Witness come to mind. Obviously dev's should only do it if it fits the type of game they're making; but I though Firewatch was one of the best looking games I've ever played and demonstrates, again, the top notch stuff coming out of the indie scene.
This game is so special in so many ways. Can't even properly form ideas to speak sense... Just beautiful in every aspect. Visuals... Sound... Music... Pacing... Writing...

I remember watching your first videos a couple years ago, and back in September joining the US military when I was leaving, I watched a couple of your videos to calm my nerves. Now that I'm able to watch your videos again it brings me back to the times when things were simpler. I'm really happy to see you slowly grow and keep pushing yourself to make amazing content!
It's interesting how the game can achieve this realistic and detailed enviroment with this type of textures and graphical features. It's like Team Fortress 2 without the mercs.
Kalle Anka I wrote that because you can see every leafs on the trees, tiny floating particles and bugs, mist, light shafts, embers etc, it has a lot deail and with this kind of graphics it creates a unique and some kind of beliveable, realistic world.
depends on how you look at it. Most saw it as a game that you simply get to know your character. As in a fact finding game about him. Not really a "mystery" game ending as such.
This is just.. beautiful. I love this game, as I love life is strange. This was my favorite videogame as I was in middle school: I felt really lonely, very different from my classmates, they acted like I wasn't there. I wanted to became a park guard like the protagonist, to escape from the city and my peers. Live surrounded by nature, work surrounded by nature. Feel only it, nothing else

Just bought it via the Windows store. Was blow away on how good that game was. This is when I don't mind "walking simulators" when it's done well.
