Would this meet DoT requirements? Cause I could see huge potential in custom hauling in Canada and the USA with a Tractor trailer version of this.

this is great design idea, on the trailers I used for carting bales we had an adjustable block on the back to keep the bales tighter together and it also stopped any bales moving too far back and I think it would work well with this design.
