Jeff13bREW oh nice, has maintenance been an issue at all? Or is it a reliable sports car?

As an owner of a C6 Corvette I'll chime in here, 7 months late. You can expect a pretty solid degree of reliability from these cars, the LS2 is a solid engine that can handle a lot of horsepower. However when things do break there is a fair amount of voodoo with regards to how people treat these cars. Be prepared to do at least some of your own work if simple things go wrong IE alternator, battery etc unless you have fairly deep pockets and are willing to pay the fabled "Corvette tax" - which is a very real thing especially at dealerships. Also certain jobs that were DIY on it's cousins the Camaro and Trans Am of yesteryear are suddenly much harder. Case in point, to swap the clutch in a C6 you need to remove the entire rear end and transmission first.
Gripes aside if you don't need back seats you can't beat the power to money ratio of a Corvette, even a non-Z06. My advice is if you can afford it purchase a 2008 C6 or newer(which have LS3 engines) and stay away from 2005 model year.
