Morena Baccarin did an excellent job voicing her. Really wish she was in more than just Justice League Unlimited. So suave and kickass giving Dinah a voice AND the scream.
This show did em justice - the action, the animation, the storytelling, the characters, there's really nothing else like it. This show was the highlight of my childhood and how I got into DC and Marvel, admittedly. It kind of sucks now that other incarnations don't match up to this one. Oh well, that's why we have this for nostalgia.
The way Dinah used hand to hand combat before her powers is just mesmerizing to witness every time. Using her powers as a last resort is the smart idea as being an expert martial artist first is the way to go. Black Canary is a beastly goddess in battle/beauty as well.

I love that we can tell that the Injustice 2 game creators were inspired by a lot of her moves from this show. For example: 0:17 The roll on the enemy's back before slamming him down 0:32 The flip and grabbing with her legs from above to slam the opponent down, used very often in the game with meter burn in the middle of a combo
And I love that in Injustice 2 she's considered one of the most powerful Heroes out there, only held back by her self control / attitude. She technically beat Superman of all people, that says a lot.

I'm a little disappointed that this show is still the best place to find the her fight scenes to this day. Heck, even the best version of the character in general. I hope we get a proper series for her someday
Coolest part is how she often resorts just to regular hand to hand combat, it’s all she needs most of the time. Only ever resorting to her super power when it’s really needed.
This is how you do a female superhero, show her how capable she is while showing her weaknesses like any other superhero. No politics, no women are better than men, not a stale character.

Didn't work with vixen cause it wasn't full power. Her voice was still messed up from her fight with Huntress when Huntress chopped her throat to stop her Canary Cry. And Mandragora is just too big and beefy
I dunno, from the looks of it, those punches are quite destructive(like when she literally damaged the steel pillar during her fight with Huntress), I dunno if touching Canary is worth those 5-6 broken bones you'll get for it.
One thing i love is how you can see the difference in fighting styles between black canary and huntress, even as someone who doesnt know much about fighting. Huntress looks like she's using some wrestling moves like with the elbow drop at 6:40 and Black Canary, if another comment is right, uses something more akin to Judo(?) I think. I miss this show so much.

She was suppose to be 1 of the 10 best hand to hand martial artist in DCU. Only woman martial artist that could give her a hardtime is lady shiva. I fell in love with her character in the comics bec. she was one of the few char. who truly relied on her SKILLS rather than her metahuman powers. I dunno about how the writers write her now but back then she only uses her canary cry in real tight situation mostly if she faces super strong meta humans in level with supes etc but other than that she uses her fighting skill most of the time.

JLU had the best animation of any dc animated production imo. Batman TAS was great but man this is just perfect. the artstyle and character models are insane
