Fire Detection System in Python using Opencv | English

- In this video, I am going to teach you how to make a fire detection system in python using a computer vision library called openCV. This video guides you through the process of developing a fire detection system in python from scratch.
First, I will explain the base algorithm of this fire detector system in a simple manner. A little bit of theory will be covered in this video too. This system cannot be applied as the production version since, it is using the HSV color model algorithm to track fire in video frames.
This fire detection system has the following three main features:-
• Detect fire in video sequence.
• Turn on the alarm.
• Send Email to fire engine services.

Perfect! on MAC on mac run from terminal not from IDLE
nice explanation ...while executing the code, initially i am getting the sound alarm but after some time it through error like error: (-215:Assertion failed) !ssize.empty() in function 'cv::resize' what to do in this case so that we can have the alarm sound untill fire will remove or some one restart the camera

What Will Be the Values or program if we convert the Video into RGB format instead of HSV?
We should use HSV for segmenting colors which is very easy to detect

We can detect candles. Or we can set bigger amount of threshold to detect bigger size of fire

What is the minimum required (memory, and processing power) to run this program?
Quite a bit of CPU power. Best to have GPU processing the video then CPU power from the processor. It's not cheap it will set you back a bit of money.
