Hello, friends, this is an image processing based fire detection and extinguisher system using Arduino
Basically system is divided into two parts
1 fire detection
2 fire alert and extinguisher
In first part fire detected using image processing. Here in this project we are using open CV for image processing and python script to run the project. in next part i.e. extinguisher and alert I used here Arduino UNO as processer, buzzer indicating LEDs, LCD, and a mini submersible pump for water spray on fire condition.

it's very useful... we cannot use a normal IR based flame sensor when exposed to sunlight but can use this method of image processing to detect fire.

yes you can use system camera. for that just make change here in this line "cap = cv2.VideoCapture(1)" in place of 1 put 0
