    .Good stuff you are going about it the right way, I used to rebuild these in the late 70's early 80's part of my day job.

    How did you get the rings into the cylinder without a ring compressor?

    Hi, Indeed great job, I have learned lots of things from the series.
    I have a Lister Petter TR2 Engine and I need to know how to check Piston and valve clearance. It has a gasket and a shim installed, I looked at the manual but need some guidance and what is correct clearance.

      Abdul Rauf the piston head clearance is called the bump clearance and is done by putting a piece of lead solder on the piston and refit the head then torque down the head and turn the engine over until it squeezes the solder flat then measure the thickness of the solder then add or remove shims till the correct clearance is gained. in one of my videos I go through bump clearance. hope this helps
