Love this! Her 20-ish minute video for M3LL155X is how I discovered her. It's a work of art I come back to over and over again. I love following her and get so stoked when new videos and songs drops. Her Tiny Desk Concert is amazing. For the last song, she does "Cellophane" and you really get to witness the way she uses her voice and does so many truly unique vocal stylings and makes it such a rich, evocative performance.
Her pixie cut made me think of Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman! Having had some time to digest, and given the explanation that fka twigs has put out about the definition of eusexua - that loss of time to intense dance, or lovemaking, but just being completely in your own world - I think the opening of the video is her being late to work *because* she had a rather eusexua-heavy night, and the rest of it is her remembering and reveling in the feeling, even if it's affecting her job.
I would LOVEEE to see you react to her EP M3LLI55X!!! It’s a mind bend and I think it will have a similar sound design to EUSEXUA. the video on TH-cam is WILD
