Anyone else see the Wolves in this piece??
It looks like the smaller one is angry with the larger one 😉
Unusually for me, I didn't. I think I was overwhelmed by the Clariss Clift "landscape". Look at it so the lighter "band" follows the darker one (when it's upright) and you get the same shape hills and sky as she'd do in a lot of her work. Had the colours been gaudy rather than the gorgeous yew colours, I might have been fooled into thinking it was china not wood lol.
It's bloody gorgeous, though. I love the "simple" shape letting the wood's beauty do the talking!
Yes
Beautiful! I love wood. 🍁🍂🍁🦃💚🙃
Yes, and a ghost!
Love the colors, love the grain, love the shape and love the feet. Thanks for sharing. 🧡
I would hesitate to guess that woodturning is something you’ve done a bit of before…… incredible as always. Thanks. Trouble is when I go back to my workshop I don’t know whether I’m feeling inspired by your work or depressed by my inadequacy. But what you do is marvellous and appreciated by many many people.
I feel your pain since I'm in the same boat.
I so enjoy watching the journey from wood chunk to the oiling of the finished product…it’s a joyous evolution ❤
A very attractive bowl. The wood you chose has a lot of character. I love the burnt edge and the graceful feet. Well done! 👏❤️
It’s so cool how that wood turns a reddish color when you put the finish on it. It really makes a classy piece of art. I also love the way the edge looks when you torch it. I love this masterpiece!
Cheers!
I love the shape of this bowl, plus the grain is beautiful. Well done!
Thank you!
Yew make it look so easy! Another gorgeous piece with those dainty little feet.
Can yew ever go wrong with this wood? Yes, saw the wolf 8:08; great rorschach test!
What a beautiful piece! I think the grain matches the bowl shape really well and the dark edge accentuates the color!
I am amazed, as usual. Thank's for another masterpiece
What a beautiful timber Yew is. About 10 miles from my home, all the pub furniture is English Yew, stools & the table tops, I must go more often!!
Awesome job, Andy!!!
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻❤️❤️❤️
…I think I see the wolves? 🤔
Beautiful and wonderful work and the piece of wood you choose is the most wonderful wood artist
🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
Yew made another gorgeous piece Andy! 😊 Cheers!
I am never disappointed in the outcome of your work. 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

Beautiful, Andy. The shape and grain are spectacular.
Bill
Stunning. I love the burnt effect on the rim.
Thank you!
Absolutely stunning work, I love the plain clear wood polish you use on the wood it brings out the natural color of the wood, not, not staining it, great job Andy as usual
Hi Andy I seethe wolves and I like the wood its got lots of character and grain and colour. The bowl is beautiful well done you another awesome piece.
Another lovely piece of work!
I really admire your technical prowess Andy. The sense of you adding the chuck to the prepared end via the tailstock so that you can switch it around with perfect alignment seems to be unique to you amongst youtube turners! Lovely piece, as always, from New Zealand
Thanks John
Technical Prowess! Do you plan that all out before? Or do you let the wood speak to you as you go? Particularly on this piece
Yew really know how to inspire me Andy. I really appreciate yew and all of yewr work❤️(Sorry couldn't resist 😝)
Yew cant beat a Yew pun .. Thanks

You sure know how to find wood with very beautiful grain Andy even if you cut a chunk out of it to be able to turn it on your lathe. Great job again Andy.

I've seen chainsaw's, and i've seen you electrocute the wood, ah but now i've seen the mini blow torch. All's good in the world. Love your work Andy. Keep it up !!!

Bellísimo vaso, con un elegante pié en forma de trípode y una madera de maravilla, con colores y vetas variadas y magníficas.
I love the feet on this hollow form! And yes I see a wolf! 🤗🤗
Lovely yew pot
I've often wondered while watching you work a base down to a nubbin... have you ever had the nubbin break free, and chaos ensues? If so, I'm hoping you weren't injured. Another great piece. I will own an Andy Phillip piece someday.
Nicely done ✔
Stunning
Самое главное во всех этих изделиях, уникальность и их неповторимость, второго такого уже никогда не будет.
Cool stuff!
Beautiful neat bowl Canada
I'm caught up! Every video was worth it, too!

I'm always amazed by how well you eyeball curves. When you do use a template to check, you're spot on. Nice Dremel work.

I like everything but the burned edge. I think it looked better natural. Cool feet!

Another fine result. Lovely curves.

Seeing you carve those feet reminded me of Denzel in Training Day: "You know I'm surgical with this $@!, Jake!" You are excellent with your skills. 👏👏👏👏👏
