I saw Ethel doing Silver Cyclone out of the corner in my eye back in Chapter 3 during her Hero Quest and I instantly recognized Stream Edge's animation. I already knew she was sick, Monolith didn't need to convince me *that* hard.
Also, I was certain that Elma's Side Slash was a reference to one of Fiora's arts, but I guess I entirely forgot what Fiora's arts are besides her Sword Drone talent art.

Arts names are mostly expressed in English, even in the Japanese version.
So arts that use Japanese names will have significantly different names in the language.ex:Danban Morag
Zeke has an unusual pattern, despite the use of Kanji characters in some of the arts' names,
It is read in English with a close meaning rather than in Japanese.
However, some arts have been renamed, even though their names were originally used in English.
      ex
      EN:Fiona/Max Effort
      JP:Mashiro/Maximum Effort
The above comment is one of them.
Perhaps the Japanese version prioritises wordiness, while the English version prioritises grammatical correctness.

While obviously part of it is to make things easier on the devs, I also really like the lore implications of attack names and animations being reused. It suggests that the parties of Xc1 and 2 (sadly X isn’t part of this universe) were so influential that even the techniques they used on their lesser used weapons were seen, copied, and passed down through the generations.
