  • We have some exciting updates coming your way:
    - We’re moving from H.264 to H.265. This means we’ll soon be able to support the recording codec H.265 which ultimately halves the size of the video files without impacting the quality. This reduces the bandwidth used to send your video to the cloud and saves storage space on your local recorder if you’re using one alongside Videoloft.
    - We’re working on improving the accuracy of our person and moving vehicle detection, whilst also reducing how much it costs us to analyse. Our goal is to include this as standard for every Videoloft camera, removing upgrade fees and providing it for free to all customers in the coming months.
    - As well as person and moving vehicle detection improvements we’re also working on licence plate recognition, and currently testing various methods with some major US beta customers. These methods include reading the plates with our own neural nets, using third party specialist systems and taking the plate information directly from the specific ANPR/LPR cameras.
    - We’re working on a camera health dashboard. We already log extensive data about our Cloud Adapters and the cameras connected to them, such as operating temperatures, recording specs and network health. While we currently review this information internally, we’ll soon be able to provide it to you in an easy-to-use dashboard, complete with troubleshooting tips to help you understand and improve your system’s health.
    - We’re also releasing a brand-new look for our platform.
Stay tuned and follow our social channels for more updates in the coming months!
