This is how all tutorials for beginners should be. I've been learning Unreal earlier from multiple sources and you have gotten me in 25 minutes more efficient than all those other sources together. Thank you!
I've watched pretty close to 200 videos about unreal while i create things just for any snippet of knowledge and fr i learned more in this 1 video than any other so far.
THANK YOU so much, coming from Blender I really need the basics again since I haven't been able to do 3D for several years, I lost everything so I have to start over and learn from the beginning again. Other tutorials are way too technical for beginners in 3D and we need to learn the ABCs before we can get better, lol. Thank you sir.
Lets start the brain exploding begin! Thank you for creating this tuturial. I just started with unreal engine and have build a few things and imported some stuff to experience it, but im sure I will have to watch this entire video a couple of times before I can actually start do build something for real. the timestamps for sure are a lifesaver for me!!
This is a great turorial. But one thing I woulnt do is deform megascans meshes. Instead I would make a spline mesh then you can bend them how you want them without making another mesh that is gonna use up alot of harddrive space. Just a tip for others
39:20 - 'Now you will have some polygons to work with' - mine isn't showing them with all those small polygons like yours when I change to wireframe view?
One thing that it making difficult to listening, is that microphone is recording only when it hear sounds. Because of that many times it sounds like lagging voice. Maybe you can find some setting to continuously recording your voice?
Fantastic tutorial indeed. I got a question regarding UI performance inside of latest versions of UE5. By default, the UI is causing visible frame drops, going from 60 fps down to 10 fps or less. I wonder if you (or anyone else here) has had the same experience, and if so, how did you solve it? I know that it is UI that is causing it because the moment after I disabled tool tips by using "Slate.EnableTooltips 0" in the console, the fps drops stopped happening when mouse hovering over anything that had tool tips on it. However, that is not a final solution, by any stretch. :)
It's really hard to follow, you move to fast and say "Go to here." by the time you clicked it and did the thing I'm back peddling to try and follow your steps visually. Could you better explain what your doing please. @48:15 you use a displacement map int the deform options. I don't even have that option. I'm also using 5.3 I don't understand. I have options, direction filter options, selective tessellation options, Perlin noise options, and mesh statistics. I tried to replicate your settings but it feels like were not using the same presets. Nevermind I figured it out, I need to be set to 2d texture map and not to what default was.
Good Afternoon. Thanks for your videos. They are helping me a lot right now? Do you know if it is possible to create landscapes from Satellite / Height imagery?? I'm curerntly working on my thesis and I'm struggling a little bit :(
Choice mate, thanks a heap,.. I see a lot of hints here for editing assets I have without distroying the orginial. I have the Lordenfel: Castles & Dungeons RPG pack that is for ruined castels and has a lot of broken walls etc, being able to bend them without loosing the UV and materials is neat to learn. My biggest issue is finding my world die slowly (sometimes not so slow) as I add more assets. be real choice if you could maybe pretty please do a wee project making a game world, a village, town or castle using free assets so people can follow BUT show how to keep the frame rate good as the asset count get higher
I have a question. If i want to apply for a job at a big studio working on 3D environments, is it necessary to know modeling? because I'm pretty bad at modeling
Youll get your universal basic income, free government bug food rations and an endless supply of virtual worlds to live in because the real one is a dystopian nightmare you wish to escape...but there will be no escape only a more appealing jail cell to reside in!
You must live with optimism and belief in a good future my friend! The truth beats all of the lies! I am getting into this field to share this message, a message of a better society and not a dystopian one. Don't give up on the world! 🎉

Glad to know it 😃
This is one of the most important tutorial on UE5. The modeling and deformation workflow makes things super convenient.

Thanks you ❤🎉🎉🎉
unity adds fee so games so hope you have great success with ue5 vids
@ 24:40 - Why/how'd it skip from the blank shape (cube which became the wall) to suddenly then having a 'brick' texture without explanation?
Mao great intro 👏
This will included all the displacement map features?
I touch some advanced sculpting techniques so I skipped that feature, will do a video on that topic soon
great tutorial thanks man
create an underwater enviroment tutorial when.. ? :D
Tks!!👏👏👏👏

I understand you, but if he really takes his time to explain it for actual beginners no one will buy their online courses.

How do i merge faces in the PolyGroup edit?

Realistic impression of the shape of improvised ruins. At first glance.
hello..my pc specs are i5 11400f, RTX 2060 6GB, 16GB RAM. Can I create this using my pc. I'm new to unreal engine.
you can download for free and try it, for small projects it should be OK, but you may need a better machine for a more serious project

Thats like the ONE you need to know.
@@dreadtrain2846 thank u and can i use asset from marketplace?
Hi, I would like to watch it live. What time and time zone? Thank you very much.
Aren’t you worried about the about of triangles you’re adding up? That first wall alone has to be pushing over 200k
It’s fine with nanite 😃
@@unfgames whenever I check my gpu visualizer it seems nanite makes my performance take a hit, is there a reason for it?

They could make things way more user friendly but why would they want to do that?

The audio is this video is bad. It sounds like you are using a voice changer or talking into a metal trash can.
well isn't that convenience?
Big promising project, thank you
