Cap's shield in the comics is made of a Vibranium/Adamantium weive.

and to further clear up things, in the movies its just Vibranium because they can't use Adamantium. This however makes the shield technically weaker than the comics, while simultaneously also making Vibranium stronger.

Cap's shield has long been mainly vibranium, the original composition was a "unique iron alloy," but the current materials it's composed of in the comics are Vibranium, Adamantium, and Uru (the material in Thor's hammer).
Adamantium is just crazy durable (direct atomic strike durable), vibranium is the one that flips the bird at physics.
So basically the playground "everything-proof shield."
Why do people like Marvel again?
To Jeremy on the difference on Adamantium and Vibranium:
Adamantium is a synthetic metal made from Vibranium, while Vibranium is the original metal found in Wakanda and Cap’s Shield. It’s in the Marvel Comics Wiki.

Gavin's enjoyment of Jeremy's team names was so pure

Those turrets are quite a great way of preventing people from A) jetpacking around, or B) preventing them from escaping certain positions. Thankfully they're destructible and if you're using them to defend an exposed area you're still open, and to defend a sheltered area well...you have to come out or drown eventually. Hopefully Ryan uses them more.
Watching gavin play worms is like watching a train wreck. Seeing him leave crates like 3m from him, positioning himself in an easy to get knocked off the map, only to fail YET ANOTHER SHEEP...
If only Michael had the resurrection lightening. He could bring back the Dark Lord

It's hard to root for Gavin when everyone plots against him
Cap's shield was actually a Vibranium, proto-Adamantium, and steel alloy.
Long answer: Adamantium, or rather true Adamantium, was actually discovered when someone was trying to recreate the shield without the Vibranium, so the other at the time unknown substance that was basically Chemical X that that made up the shield was later renamed to be proto adamantium. it's been broken and fixed and replaced dozens of times, Tony is always having to fix it for him, and a more recent one even used Uru to fix it, same material Mjolnir is made from.
Short answer: it's easier and gets the point across better to say Vibranium, Adamantium and steel. When time came for the movie though, Fox had Adamantium along with the X-Men, so it became just Vibranium.
Fun fact, if the shield was entirely Vibraium, it wouldn't be able to rikochet around like it does. the whole thing with Vibranium is that it absorbs vibrations, thus kinetic energy, and would just drop to the ground once it hit anything.
(Yes I do know too much about Marvel for my own good, it's nice when this pointless info I have has any use)

To answer your question Jeremy, I believe Cap’s shield was supposed to be an alloy of 50% vibranium & 50% adamantium. That’s what allows him to control its ricochet so precisely.
Jeremy, Cap’s shield was originally a mix of both Vibranium, and Adamantium(which is actually made from Vibraniumas well xD)

At 13:29 it was originally a Vibranium adamantium alloy or “proto-adamantium” in the comics and they could only use vibranium in the MCU due to the trademark.
That was......the greatest bunker buster of all time. Didn't know where he was. Threaded the needle. And since when did bunker Buster's send worms flying like that? That was unusual to say the least

Wow, such a cool episode. In the first half there's at least three amazing moments, and I'm yet to watch the second map. The classic AH lineup is such a contrast to what we often get now, it's a different level of comedy.

Long time listener, first time caller. As a comic book nut, I feel I need to answer your questions. First, Adamantium is not trademarkable. It is actually referenced in Greek mythology, being made into a net to trap Zeus. So it has literally been around for ages and is public domain. As for Cap's shield, in the movie, they only reference the Vibranium. In the comics, it's actually a mixture of Vibranium and Adamantium. Vibranium doesn't bond with other metals, so no one is exactly sure how it happened. It was a one-in-a-million accident, and it went into Cap's shield.

for the information of AH, CA's shield was originally a vibranium-steel alloy, and an early attempt at creating adamantium. and though he has used different shields over the course of time (including pure adamantium and pure vibranium), that hasn't ever changed.
Gavin's undeniably the best Achievement Hunter at Worms for the same reasons he's the best at a bunch of games i.e. his turns are either the coolest most cinematic shit ever or contenders for the worst turn of the game lmao no middle ground

Honestly as a huge Harry Potter fan, Michael's "Ron" voice is cracking me up. Especially with the creative spelling of Voldemort's name in this video.
Can we talk about how the first thing Khaki Silver did was blow itself up to hurt others? Like. Just like the namesake. Where the difference is that it actually lived for more than 5 minutes! And Muskrat had the ending it did? More accurate to the source material than Fox ever could.
