Yes kayak is a great choice for the uk I’ve had boats not a bass boat but a shetland 14ft open boat that was ideal for lure fishing was a pain in a**e getting in and out with my then 9 year old son used it a few times and sold it just wasn’t practical good luck the kayak it’s the way to go definitely
