If fish were there anglers would be there too , its sad how its gone . A local club near me has water on the Nene around Nassington and its shockingly bad .

Scotland has huge scope for some good Competition big fish and large waters with low pressure fishing.

Thought you chaps had decided to knock the podcasts on the head which would have been disappointing. It's always a great listen, whether im in the car driving to work or in the kitchen cookingthe dinner. Do keep churning them out regularly. Specifically, would be great too hear discussion on technique, how to fish certain lures and venues in varying conditions.

As always a very interesting podcast. I was with Charlie on the Derwent Pike comp and I can confirm everything he said and I have to say he's doing a fantastic work there. I was surprised by the lure section at the shop, it was filled with quality lures only, keitech(obviously 😂), molix, rapala, headbanger, vmc, etc. People were grabbing the most expensive lures in there one after the other as if they were buying sweets at tesco😅 only proves people have no problem spending money on quality. I bet if they were selling cheap stuff like fladen nobody would touch it! I really enjoyed it will definitely be there for the next one! Keep it going guys🤜🏼🤛🏼

Well done guys another really good and interesting podcast. I do think the European anglers are miles ahead of us on the lure fishing scene atm. Just makes it more exciting to learn more about their lure fishing and then implement that into our fishing on UK waters. Keep up the good work and tight lines 🎣

Thankyou, I've really struggled preparing this recently as everyone recomend soaking for 24 hours and cooking time of 20 mins and mine has been too hard and internaly dry still, I'm going to soak a batch for 4 days now as I think this may be the difference it needs, I've thrown so much away

The average cormorant needs a pound of fish a day !!!

There must be potential to apply for lottery funding to have university research done on your local drains and effects of predation and licences granted by The EA to control cormorants etc. Various universities that do fishery management degree courses would welcome such research opportunities.

Outside mine one has been up and down just lately

Think your right about th Cormorants, trouble is the bird people cannot see an issue and they got the law on their side, in fact everyone else except anglers have this opinion, its only fish and because they live below the surface they are of no interest, good luck on the wye wish I could join you

Me & Mark Lynn had a week fishing the broads in a bungalow & we saw what we thought was another large flock of geese !!! But on closer inspection it was a huge flock of CORMARANTS !! Must have been 200 plus ...in the early 70s only remember one place that had a visit from a CORMARANT ,& the was Southery drain off the A10 !!

Yes cormorants. Destroying parts of the canal system in the north west some lengths devoid of fish

Has any of you fen lads done a big survey using fish finder's i would put money loads of fish are still where you think they have all moved from they have simply changed their feeding habits they deal with salt by sitting high in the water the salt sinks to the bottom it's denser there's no way any where over our waters that the fish all move to towns and cities no way there's week's things look devoid of life then out of nowhere there's feeding fish for a day or two then back to the void or they feed for a hour just before dark just no one is there when they do

Hi Mate, how come you only have a 1 metre shock leader? Thought its best for twice the length of the rod. I am casting up to 120g on the Ijssel to sometimes 40m. Would the 1 metre shock leader be suitable?

Watched Chris from back when he had the channel Chris & Sam. People might slate him but he’s one of the pioneers of TH-cam fishing content. I’ve watched probably all of his videos he’s one of my favourite channels. The only thing I would consider a “complaint” id have is alot of catches seem to be from sight. Other than that I’ve learned loads from his channel.
