I want to learn from the Amish. My kids would love it. We live on a 5 acre land. But people are to busy stealing and being mean No kindness no sense of pride. Nothing but being hateful We were in the city and moved 4 yrs ago We’re looking to sell to find a community of kind people who can teach each other what we don’t know and maybe we can teach to and share. I’m sick of this whole mess of lies deceitful ways of life. I want my kids to know how to love respect and learn new ways of loving God Jesus Christ wants us to love one and another. Not steal gossip hurt and live for the Lord and learn to be kind and loving Thank you 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
No. Only when they trade with outsiders. They live by the book of Acts of the Apostles in the bible: ACTS 2:44 All the believers were together and had everything in common. 45 They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need.
You showed them dancing. Your footage is from a Hollywood movie. Music except hymns are not allowed for the Amish. I live not far from an Amish community. Some are taking public busses to see medical doctors. Furthermore, some Amish have grocery stores and bakeries too. They sell some bulk stuff like peppermint tea etc. but lots of it is the same junk food as in our grocery stores.
@@ravenbrown74 The Amish generally do not listen to music or dance. These activities are seen as forms of entertainment that can distract from their religious beliefs and values. While there may be individual Amish who do engage in these activities, it is not a common practice within the community. Amish culture emphasizes simplicity, humility, and a focus on family and community.
All of this is blindingly obvious. Keep active and eat healthy. Any doctor will tell you this! What we forget though, at our peril, is that our ancestors suffered from infectious diseases and high levels of infant mortality and it’s thanks to modern medical science that we don’t. Just for the record, according to official statistics, Amish people, on average, live six years less than other Americans and eleven years less than people in the UK.
amazing video .❤

@@keithyork8226 also, CLEAN WATER saves lives. Remember - it's not the years in your life, it's the life in your years ! 💯 🧐🕊️
@@richardlynch-sb1gr Clean water does indeed save lives. We know this thanks to medical science.
I could never live that life style because the men rule the roost!
