Quantum, you come through every single time I ask for a Q8FN comparison. I sincerely appreciate it, you're a genuine cool ass unique person and I like you man. Thank you!
Not only have I seen other videos showcasing the Sony B9/XR90 against the A95L, G4, and S95D with the same content you're showing and holding its own, but I own the 75" B9, and it does not look anything at all like what you're demonstrating here. The blacks, especially with local dimming set to high, are incredibly deep, contrast is astoundingly close to OLED, and blooming is virtually nonexistent. Regarding the backlight flicker/frequency with your camera, again I've not seen this in any other video besides this one, from numerous content creators. I don't know what's up with that B9 of yours that you're displaying, but I can honestly state as an owner of the B9/XR90 that this is not an accurate representation of the TV, quite the opposite.
The Q8FN really was and kind of still is something special every time I see it! Kinda wish I would’ve had one! Amazing that it actually beats the current flagship Sony! It’s actually really sad! You’re absolutely right. They absolutely should be ashamed of themselves, unless the developers really did have a vendetta against the Sony brand like you suggested! Absolutely crazy!
Trust me, I own the 75" B9/XR90, and it looks nothing like what is being shown here. I've tested a bunch of content from SDR to HDR and it looks fantastic.
based on what i’ve been seeing lately over nd over on bravia 9 pale screen my 2017 sony KD900E 65” performs a lot better than many new tv recently made as new , if only i can make it some how 120 hrtz instead of 60
That's exactly what I was talking about the other time to Samsung sellers, Samsung until Q9FN 2018, the blacks were almost OLED, without blooms or anything... maybe they were not the brightest in nits... but the contrast and blacks were very precise .. since the QN90A and until today, they are basing it only on Nits... which is the TV with the highest nits and saying it is the best... wtf? and they added the minileds... the minileds ruined the deep blacks by adding blooming to every TV that uses it... in exchange for what? of brightness? Who wants so much shine if their black ones with blooming are shit... Samsung is another like Sony... at least in the 43 and 50" models in Samsung series 9 since 2020 they are good... but from 55" onwards they are a bullshit... as for deep blacks...
You sure the Sony isn't doing HLG HDR and the Samsung isn't doing HDR 10+? Not a fair comparison. You do a disservice to yourself and the viewers just clicking through defaults instead of working through the actual settings. You skipped over "Contrast Enhancer," "Black Adjust," and "Peak Luminance." The standard settings show much more detail in the shadows and the highlights than the Samsung, and perhaps that's what Sony is aiming for, and yes, reduced contrast is necessary to get there. Your profanity-laden tirade is embarrassing, I could never imagine getting that upset over "Factory Defaults" being meh. And surely you know that real customers are going to trust true measurements and actual data instead of some dude cussing for 30 minutes looking like a fool.
Hello, I still have my Sony Bravia X950H from 2020, and I’m interested in trying your calibration for my TV. The only things that’s bothering me from the back of my mind is that your X950H Settings video is from 4 years ago. And I’m not sure if your current knowledge compared to what you knew 4 years ago would still make the X950H Settings relevant for 2024. Do you think your X950H Settings still holds up to this day, or will it need to be updated due to your extra 4 years of experience in this field? Edited: I just finished watching your unboxing video for the X950H, and the legs and the back of the TV looks completely different to the one I have. I checked the code on my TV and it’s definitely the X950H, but I’m not sure why yours looks different. 🤔
The more I look into the videos of tv (those 2 lasts year, I was not looking before, as my FHD is now reaching 11-ish years old) . I always thought that processing did jot cost too much in energy but required heating dissipation enough. Did the run for decrease of consumption really fucked up the game ?! (+aluminum price increase for radiators ? ) With a full talent used XR processor, Sony new techs should kick ass ?
At the cost of contrast shadowing and leaving odd black spots. Perhaps for games but out of interst what films do you want that much raised black for? Meaning quantity not quality. Raised enough for great detail or raised to raise?
Good luck with your QLED. Burn ins, motion jidder in 24fps are just awful. Calibrate the damn Sony properly and then compare. Samsung is just dark, if you crank up the brightness-burn ins welcome :) How much Samsung paid you ?
I have owned a 75-inch Q8FN television since 2018, which I purchased as a floor model for 4,700 Canadian dollars. It remains the brightest television I have ever encountered, offering exceptional motion clarity. The picture quality is outstanding, and I have not experienced any issues with it. This television is operational for approximately 10 to 15 hours each day. Although it has been discontinued, if you happen to find one, I recommend checking the price, as it is still quite costly.
Bro is showing what you get out of the box, it's like 500 to a grand i think if not more to have it professionally calibrated, I think i need a discount so I can afford to hire this calibrater.
My 2016 Z9D can still hang with the big boys even today.
I'm still rocking the Q8FN in my game room. It's fantastic. Bought the S90D for my living room but can't give up my Q8FN yet.
Still have my Q9fn since 2018. Have QD OLED S95D now, much better but would never part with my Qled.
Quantum, you come through every single time I ask for a Q8FN comparison. I sincerely appreciate it, you're a genuine cool ass unique person and I like you man. Thank you!
Thank you brother

Samsung looks dim while Sony looks flat.😮

I reset it. It looks exactly like this.
@@Quantum_TV I was about to point this out, but you did the work for me, dude!
based on what i’ve been seeing lately over nd over on bravia 9 pale screen my 2017 sony KD900E 65” performs a lot better than many new tv recently made as new , if only i can make it some how 120 hrtz instead of 60
Shocking 😱 well done!
Alot of these processing issues that the Bravia 9 or the TCL QM851G can be resolved with a PC-based Videoprocessor.
How do you feel the Q8FN stacks up against the S90D?
Closely as far as clarity and depth. Everything else goes to the S90D
Unbelievable! I love my Q8FN!! 🙂
I have the q9fn and the qn95c. It amazes me how well the q9fn hangs with the qn95c. Where the qn95c out shines the q9fn is blooming control
Almost every other TV reviewer lies on TH-cam. Disgusting.
Excellent work.
they both seem to be at extremes. somewhere in middle between the two would be perfect.
It's very sarcastic what companies can do and what they are giving us .
What the actual? I was considering a Bravia 7, after seeing this I'm going to look into an S90D or S95C, fantasctic job Quantum!
do a comparisson TCL QM8 vs BRAVIA 9
this is the one i'm waiting for

Samsung QD Oled is best for gaming
Q8FN 2024 lets gooooooo

Reset to default removes any and all things that could tamper with the Sony

I also have the 950H and the settinds from Quantum are great still today... Probably one of the last good Tv models from Sony
I really don't see much of difference. Both look good. If you turned brightness up on the left they would be pretty much identical.
The more I look into the videos of tv (those 2 lasts year, I was not looking before, as my FHD is now reaching 11-ish years old) .
I always thought that processing did jot cost too much in energy but required heating dissipation enough. Did the run for decrease of consumption really fucked up the game ?! (+aluminum price increase for radiators ? )

Low the brightnes and increase the contrast of the sony tv, you liar...
I reset everything in real time to default. How am i a lair?
Thanks Quantum.
To be fair you didn't have the flicker before.
It goes away in game mode and pc mode but returns in video/tv mode
Porównaj Samsunga qn95D a zobaczysz co to za dziadostwo z wielkim bloomingiem i wyblakłym obrazem.
Qn95d is best 4k qled😂
Bravia9-better shadow detail
At the cost of contrast shadowing and leaving odd black spots. Perhaps for games but out of interst what films do you want that much raised black for? Meaning quantity not quality. Raised enough for great detail or raised to raise?
that Samsung is way to dark, and colours oversaturated. Bravia 9 everyday
is it really fair if your comparing the calibrated Q8FN to the uncalibrated Sony? calibrate the Sony and it will be a more realistic comparison.
My settings are the imax enhanced mode i kept toggling.....😂
For quantum any samsung tv is better than a sony. Even the processing which arguably low end sony TV does better than most samsung is a non issue.
Payment from Samsung maybe?
He liked Sony a couple of years ago. He only likes Samsung qdoleds these days and has document how far their leds have fallen off.
No payments. See my sony vs sony video
Not any Samsung tv. Their qled line is trash now.
I…think the Bravia 9 looks better. When you’re showing the honey drip demo, the blacks on that Samsung look charcoal. 🤣
I don't think the Bravia 9 is anywhere as good as the Hype, however your aim is just a pure hatchet job, which means you're spinning the actual facts!
I hit reset in real time to show im not spinning the actual facts. You just don't like the truth.
No data...no tech review.
You have eyes. Thats all the data you need.
Tell us how you really feel
Nope
**** YOU ARE SONY HATER ****
Prepare yourself for my next comparison. Lets see if you can still say this then
No dolby vision no purchase.
Good luck with your QLED. Burn ins, motion jidder in 24fps are just awful. Calibrate the damn Sony properly and then compare. Samsung is just dark, if you crank up the brightness-burn ins welcome :) How much Samsung paid you ?
Someone doesn’t know what QLED is clearly. It doesn’t burn in. Accept that Sony’s flagship is getting beaten by a 2018 LED tv

I've not had no burn ins and i keep our tv on 15 hours a day since 2018 lol
My 6 year old Q8FN is bright and has never experienced burn in and I game alot and leave it for extended period of time.
