Dang that stupid boss on Stage 4a is so much pain to deal with him as a kid and I couldn’t beat him too, so I decide to revisit the game and this time I’ll be serious with him (BTW as a kid I didn’t know killing too many enemies will make your katana stronger if they stay frozen)
One of the hardest final bosses ever. My two cents if you ever want to beat them on the harder difficulties: Get really good at playing the last level and arrive at the final boss HIRUKO with AT LEAST two scrolls(Trying to beat him with any less is a waste of time IMO, because the seal enemies have really wonky hit boxes and you have to dodge a lot of stuff, which is borderline impossible when you're vulnerable and there are a lot of enemies on screen). Wait for the waves of enemies to reach their peak(you can start killing seals when there are at least six seals on screen on the first wave, the following wave triggers them all at one) then trigger the invincibility scroll and concentrate on killing the seals. Two full tates and a few sneak hits should suffice. If you run out of scrolls just forget it, and restart the boss fight(by pressing start and retry before the game over screen appears, so you'll start with the scrolls in your inventory). The scrolls make a huge difference and keep your frustration to a minimum. Worked for me after just a few tries, while I spent literally DAYS on him with just one scroll and no success. Good luck!

The stupid tank enemy is really annoying cause he shoots off screen unexpectedly while I was dealing other enemies and it’s so frustrating to avoid, dang I hate this enemy
I don't cause my laptop isn't good enough to stream :( The only major parts of RNG that can completely fuck up a WR run is the 4-B boss and 8-B boss. Other than that there's not too much RNG involved.
Hello 2 years later, RNG like Maurice said is "random number generator", but when it comes to speed running it implies that a part of the game relies on an ennemy (in general) acting (or not acting) a certain way. Let's say a pokemon can use 4 moves, if one of these moves can ruin the battle for you, if it's a 1/4 chance to use this special move, the battle is quite RNG dependant. I hope it was clear !
