When i became a Catholic, i was just 16 years old. I was formally accepted into the Church via Baptism at the age of 18. I went from being an atheist to a believer almost overnight. People asked me who brought me into the Church? For YEARS I failed to understand the significance of this, because i thought EVERYONE experienced this, but I had no idea in which denomination i should find Gods True Church. So i asked Him. And HE brought me here Himself. Some time later, I began hearing about this ecumenism, and the subsequent watering down of the teaching that outside the Church, there is no salvation. I foubd myself arguing against cradle Catholics and priests. And was still in my late teens and early 20s. And for the record, it has been 50 years since i accepted the truths of the Catholic Church. At no time have i ever found a reason to think differently.
Beautiful testimony! I think they are stuck in a horizontal, and plain human thought process. They don’t get IT. I’m a cradle Catholic and am in awe of your conversion by Him alone! Just beautiful! I left the Novus Ordo at the lockdown, realizing it wasn’t Catholic to lock us out of Mass! I found a SSPX Chapel that wasn’t closed. I found the hidden Pearl. My family thinks I’m in schism. 🙄
The logic of the Church teaching is fairly simple to understand and to accept. People just don't want to hear the truth because.....the concept that if you are a "nice person" you're in God's good grace. Most hate the truth and/ or fear it.
Niceness not sufficient but even all those who love Jesus and serve him outside the Catholic Church must all go to hell.l is dogma? I can't honestly believe that. As a result I am under automatic ex communication. I am not to receive any sacraments. Its awful. Please pray I can get released from this dogma. Kennedy Report too says I am a heretic and must save myself but I can't just pretend I accept that ex cathedra dogma. The popes and bishops don't accept that ex cathedra dogma either. Big dilema!
True. It’s not being nice. This is the result of poor or nonexistent catechesis among Catholics. It doesn’t mean one shouldn’t be nice, but niceness isn’t a ticket to Heaven. I know openly “gay” people, sexual deviants, who are “nice.” You won’t find them spitting or cursing people at Rosary Rallies. Nonetheless, unless they repent and follow Our Lord in the Church HE founded, they remain barred from God’s presence. As for those who die without baptism before the age of accountability, those who are simple-minded, who die without ever hearing of Christ, God knows, we don’t. We DO know that Our Lord is both 100% merciful and 100% just. There is much beyond human understanding. This, I believe, is among them. The question is not so much in knowing where this or that soul went, but in trusting God with the matter.
One of the pre Vatican 2 popes (maybe Leo XIII) said the road to hell is paved with dead priests’ bodies and lit with the skulls of bishops. Salvation is for the very few, and checking the Traditional catholic box will not guarantee entrance. One cannot argue one’s way into heaven. Our times are confusing, and I can only remain vigilant in prayer for God’s grace to become sanctified. It is not something I deserve, but i do believe he is merciful even to us who give in to sin.
I was fervently anti-Catholic. Not quite atheist but not practicing any faith - 2 years ago. And I woke up one morning stirred by what I call the spirit telling me to go to the Catholic Church. I thought it was weird but went. They announced RCIA that day starting Monday. So I went. And kept going. At the end I was still very unsure about the real presence of Christ in Eucharist. I prayed (last February) that if God bring a Eucharist miracle I’d tell everyone how real it is. And I kid you not, on my birthday March 5th, a Eucharist miracle was granted. You can look it up on google. I now attend the Latin mass 1-2 times weekly and absolutely devote myself to the church and to Christ.
Orange. It is good that your miracle was granted. Even so, base your faith on Catholic Doctrine and Morals. Think of the many thousands at Fatima who witnessed the "Miracle of the Sun" yet did not change their lives. Live each day in a constant, regular manner. Don't look for extraordinary signs.
@@MereTradition thank you. I really enjoy your channel. And if what happened to me didn’t happen to me I honestly wouldn’t believe it. It gave me the true feeling of what it means when people say they feel the Holy Spirit working in them. That was truly one of the most powerful feelings I’ve ever experienced.
I know plenty of people who aren’t catholic but are faithful to Jesus and love him with everything they have. I’m a “cradle Catholic” and if this is offensive to Our Lord I ask His forgiveness but I cannot wrap my head around this “dogma.” For the great majority of my life, the church has really scared me.
I’ve really been struggling with this. I converted to the Church 10 years ago and fully believe this teaching but there are so many Protestants in my life. Please pray for me, brothers and sisters.

Does it mean that the church of God teaches something different from who God has revealed and teaches, who brings the Word of God to the people if not the Church.
The corollary here also needs to be identified and taught - being Catholic does not mean automatic salvation either. I take your wider point namely one must be Catholic to have any chance of being saved.
Our LORD JESUS CHRIST established only One True Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church when HE said to Pope Saint Peter “ upon this rock I will build MY Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail! All those outside the church are in apostasy or in schism.

@@PaulWashington.. do you know what the word presbyter means? It's in the Bible. Since you told one lie everyone can assume everything you say may be a lie. Hint, it is.
Along with a long list of other teachings. The new stuff isn’t dogmatic. But if you keep repeating the same lies over and over, people will be believe it. One example- That the Jewish People are still under the Old Covenant. Thus, we are not to preach Jesus to them. Even though somehow, there will be a mass conversion of Jews right before the 2nd Coming.
Exactly, Kennedy! It's an immutable fact. I am breaking from 'X' indefinitely as I'm plagued by porn & anime bots. Really great work by you. Thank you!
JMJ+ I believe it because it makes sense. There was a time, many years ago, that I, too, though pretty much every could / would go to "Heaven." After much prayer and study and more lectures and documents that I thought I would ever want to read or listen to, I have come to believe something else. Unless one believes and does what the Catholic Church teaches, as Dogma, one simply can't be Saved. I also believe in Baptism by Desire and Blood. In the end, the LORD JESUS will grant both Mercy and Punishment as HE deems just. At least, that is my understanding.
I pray the beads of my Rosary for deceased Protestant friends. I know the True Catholic Faith yet refuse to give up (even) on those who were obstinate in their unbelief. Jesus will save whom He pleases.
In the case of non-Christian religion, of course, I totally believe this. In the case of those who are in other so-called Christian professions (denominations), I am a convert. So I had a hard time with this. I was Episcopal until I was 43. So this idea amazed me, at first. But over time, I saw this taught by important Catholics from all ages! Thus, I gradually came to accept this. It took time to accept. And I find this very grim, as that excludes most of my family (now deceased, so there's nothing I can say to them. It is a fait accompli.) I sadly accept this.
I totally understand you being sad for your family members. Two things to share. First keep praying to Jesus to pour his mercy on your deceased family members. Your prayers can collect mercy from Jesus and Mary for them. Secondly, this sadness is only while we are on this earth. Praying for the deceased can relieve a lot of this sadness and trust in the mercy of God. Once we are with Jesus depending on how well we have run the race we will be happy. Nothing else will make us sad because we are with the beatific vision which is love and joy of our God. I too have some family members who are not Catholic. I pray for them.
@@sandracrasto4544 Oh thank you! Thank you! I truly appreciate this advice! I am going to pray for them! My family those above me, was small. So this is doable often! Daily! And yes, praying will soothe my feelings while on Earth. I also remember the Revelation verse that says we will have no more sorrow and tears when we get to heaven. So, you are right. Some how, it will all work out! I so appreciate your post. God bless you! ✝️💟🛐🙏🏻🕊️🕯️🌹
Trent Catechism CLEARLY teaches Baptism of Desire and it has NEVER been corrected or amended. "On adults, however, the Church has not been accustomed to confer the Sacrament of Baptism at once, but has ordained that it be deferred for a certain time. The delay is not attended with the same danger as in the case of infants, which we have already mentioned; should any unforeseen accident make it impossible for adults to be washed in the salutary waters, their intention and determination to receive Baptism and their repentance for past sins, will avail them to grace and righteousness." --Catechism of the Council of Trent, Part II, Sacrament of Baptism
I don’t reject this because I was baptized Catholic in 1970 on the south side of Chicago. My mother and father are devout Catholics. My grandparents and great grandparents on both sides were Catholics . I attended Catholic elementary school, High School and College in Chicago. I’ve always been taught there is no salvation outside the Catholic Church
Lately I have been sharing this Dogma with Protestants and I haven't got an outright objection to this Dogma as of yet, but I'm sure that it will happen sometime, but not yet anyway. Praise God. 🙏
Why would anyone bother converting if it were not true? I converted, because I wanted to be with Jesus for eternity and I became convinced that there is no salvation outside of the Church. I got that from the Bible before I became Catholic. It just took 20 years to figure out which Church it was. How can it be any other way? Do I think that means there is NO CHANCE for salvation for NON-CATHOLIC, of course not! Anyone can be saved by God, but I would assert that the most convincing sign of that salvation is when that person purposes to join the Catholic Church. Sadly I am not convinced many Catholics are headed to heaven. They seem to work so hard to go to Hell, why would anyone be surprised after such diligence they do not make it?

@@PaulWashington.. the new testament isn't a compilation of all doctrines of Christians, the epistles are mostly pastoral, they were written to encourage and correct Christian churches that already knew the teachings of the apostles. It's very easy to grab a verse here or there in the n.t and say "this is what this means," that's why there's so many different human interpretations aka heresies. In order to have a deeper understanding of what the early church believed it's important to read from the early church fathers, particularly those who knew the apostles personally, that way you can see what the early Christians practised and believed. And if you do this, you will clearly see that the early church strongly believed in apostolic succession, a priesthood, episcopate etc, everything you'd find in apostolic churches. Go see for yourself
@@PaulWashington.. Jesus Christ most assuredly did found the Chuch. In fact he simply told the church to "teach all that I have taught you". 18 And Jesus coming, spoke to them, saying: All power is given to me in heaven and in earth. 19 Going therefore, teach ye all nations; baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and behold I am with you all days, even to the consummation of the world. (Math 28:18-20). Only one book of the Sacred Scriptures was commanded by Jesus to be directly written and THAT was the book of the Apocalypse. The REST were written BY THE CHURCH...FOR THE CHURCH under the authority given by Christ to TEACH. The protection that Christ gave was not for a perfect book, but for a TEACHING CHURCH. If you cannot believe that TEACHING CHURCH on the canon of Scipture then you cannot believe the Scripture itself because IT was determined by the Church. Apostolic Tradition is actually ASSUMED in this statement of Christ and the principal authority is for Apostolic Tradition NOT SCRIPTURE. Scripture is dependent on Apostolic Tradition and Church Teaching for its own authority. The total lie is that Christ wrote a single line of Scripture, or that Scripture came to us outside of Apostolic Tradition. He founded THE CHURCH. He founded the CHURCH for everyone. He founded the UNIVERSAL CHURCH which of course IS the Catholic Church. Quicumque vult salvus esse ut teneat Catholicam Ecclesiam integram...That was penned BEFORE the canon of Scripture was settled on. To reject the institution of the Catholic Church, is simply to reject Christ. QUOD EST VERITATEM, potesne videre? Esne caecus?

I too struggle with this Dogma of Extra Ecclesiam Nulla Salus. The Council ended when I was 6 years old. I was caused much destruction by the heresy of Modernism just as everyone from my generation has been. But if the Church teaches this Dogma I accept it. Maybe one day God will grant me the grace to understand it, but nevertheless if the Church teaches it then it is Factual Truth.
Quoting from the biography of St. John Vianney, The Curé of Ars by Marshall, Bruce (New York City: Sheed and Ward, 1952): "...a woman...told....Vianney that she was devastated because her husband had committed suicide. She wanted to approach the great priest but his [confession] line often lasted for hours and she could not reach him. She was ready to give up and in a moment of mystical insight that only a great saint can receive,...Vianney exclaimed through the crowd, 'He is saved!' The woman was incredulous so the saint repeated, stressing each word, 'I tell you he is saved. He is in Purgatory, and you must pray for him. Between the parapet of the bridge and the water he had time to make an act of contrition.'”
And let us add that Angels can give Holy Communion if circumstances and need require, teach the Faith and also baptize, thus saving and feeding souls who God sees sincerely desire the Truth and thirst for salvation, wherever they are. We see this Angelic ministry of the Eucharist when the Angel gave the Fatima shepherdesses Communion and also at Garabandal - And if the Eucharist, surely the Sacrament of Baptism also, without which, as the Church teaches, no person is regenerated in Christ and can be saved. "Whoever says that Baptism is optional, that is, not necessary for salvation: let him be anathema." ( Council of Trent, Session 7, Canon 5, on the Sacrament of Baptism ). St. Thomas Aquinas teaches that if a a person lives in circumstances that, humanly speaking, make it impossible to learn the Faith and be baptized ,If The God,who knows the hearts of all men, sees that the person is properly disposed (of good will), He would send a missionary even by supernatural means ( ie., bilocation, which has happened before), or an Angel to enlighten him/her and administer the Sacrament.
Can your provide some insight for a recent convert to Catholicism, from Protestantism. I have no question that the Catholic faith is correct. However, I am left in utter confusion over recent actions by the Pope. I feel like not long after I converted, the church decided to go the way of many progressive churches. Between fiduccia supplicans, and permitting trans to be God Parents among a long list of other issues, I am left in confusion as to whether I made the incorrect decision. I have been to Mass, but haven't participated in the Eucharist because I dont know that I should considering my reservations. Any advice would be much appreciated.
Brother, the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church is founded by Jesus Christ and holds the faith passed down by the Apostles to the Fathers, and from the Fathers to Christendom, and from Christendom to us. If anyone denies this faith, it is *they* who have departed. You should not depart. Your departure from the eternal Ark of Salvation is desired by Satan but not desired by God. It is true that the hierarchy has been corrupted by intelligencers and Gnostic sectarians. For whatever reason, God has allowed this evil to afflict us (though He does not cause it; that is due to man's misuse of free will). It is our role to cling to Jesus Christ especially in the Most Holy Eucharist. Check out the SSPX, FSSP or other faithful traditional orders to find greater reverence and firmer teaching.
Jesus was subject to Judas' betrayal, so we should expect there to be contemporary Judases. There has always been a struggle in the Church against the truth of the Deposit of Faith. Remember the heresy of the Donatists, even though a priest may become heterodox, the Holy Mass he celebrates is still valid. If you pray, Satan will niether be able to hinder you nor block you on the way of holiness. Together, let us pray for the Church and the salvation of souls.
These are trying times for everybody since, 'the smoke of Satan has entered the Church, "-said by Paul VI. Fear can appear as smugness and is never good. Humility is important because the work is God's work. We are only unworthy servants doing what is given us to do. There is a Baptism of water, but also of desire as shown by the good thief. And a Baptism of blood via martyrdom. While these latter forms of Baptism hasn't been explained properly, we can see it's type when the Angels sung on Christmas Morn, "Glory to God in the Highest and on Earth, peace to people of Goodwill." Goodwill is an overlooked virtue. There were those, not a part of Christ's disciples who were casting out Demons in Jesus' Name, yet the Lord didn't stop them. Are they going to hell? Only if they lack Goodwill fulfilled by faith in Christ. Nevertheles I agree, with those Popes that the command of Jesus Christ to His Apostolic Church, to"Go out to the ends of the earth, make Disciples of all nations; Baptise them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit," must be carried out by His Church without deviation, or with exceptions.
Well it’s as plane as the nose on your face. Very straight forward and very plane. NO Salvation Outdide the Catholic Church !! I totally agree and am sad for friends & my parents who were Protestant & would not listen. I pray for them 🙏🙏🙏 Thank you Mr. Kennedy for the great explanation! 👍👍🙏🙏

There is no salvation outside the Catholic Church, and it makes perfect sense. God the Son built His Holy Catholic Church as the conduit of grace which brings salvation to mankind. Without this grace, which is only found in that conduit, mankind cannot be saved.
In John 6 our LORD JESUS CHRIST said “unless you eat my flesh and drink my blood, you shall not have life within you.” It is very clear that Our LORD JESUS CHRIST is referring to the Holy Eucharist and only the Catholic Church has the valid Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist!
I have a brother who will no longer speaks to me because I told him this. He's left the faith and joined a heretical "faith." I cautioned him also as he has the mark of Catholic baptism and confirmation on his soul.
Whatever the previous discussions were we have to understand that The Gospel seems to have been spread throughout the entire world at this point, making ignorance of any kind completely moot.
Faith 🟰 love for the Father. That love grows as we obey His truth which 🟰 never giving an inch. No salvation outside the Holy Roman Catholic Church equals 🟰 truth.
I am a convert and I am doing my best to honor the authority of the Catholic church. What I want to know is, that my great aunt raised me along with her sister my grandmother. She was born in 1913 when children obeyed their parents full stop. Her parents converted to SDA when she was 16 years old. She accepted it completely. She raised me to be an SDA. They are a hazardous group as they have you fully covered from birth to grave. All of your needs are met, plus they really hate all Catholics. The normal stuff, whore of Babylon, anti-christ, etc. I know she was a Christian, I saw daemons run from her. I credit my still being alive because of her prayers when I ran away from home. I put her into the category of people who need someone else to think for them. She had no information except what the church gave her but they told her it was a sin to read anything else than what they gave her including the Bible. They only approved the KJV and most of it was filtered through Ellen G. White. She would have made a great Catholic because she would have accepted all authority no questions asked. I am a bit different. I have to question everything and everything has to make sense to me before I will accept it. I can accept purgatory for someone like her but I struggle with the notion that she would have been sent to hell just because she was brainwashed by a cult. She lived her entire life as a born-again virgin. She was married once and he left her. She never remarried at 30 years old. She worked at an SDA hospital she gave faithfully 10% of her pension and 5% in offerings even when we did not have the money she gave anyway and said God would provide. And he always did. What am I to make of all of this, please and thank you,

Is there any reason for this frenzy of conciliar Madness, Kennedy? Peace and love for all, Christ is there always for his beautiful children, regardless of formulae...
In the encyclical Itself, the text presented at video timeline 14:12 actually preceded the text presented at video timeline 13:36. In other words, in the encyclical itself, the comforting text followed, that is to say qualified, the severe text preceding it. So it is not the case that the comforting text was then qualified by the severe text, as one might (improperly) infer from the video; indeed, it was the severe text that came first and was then qualified by the comforting text. It is important to realize this in order to get the intended sense of the encyclical itself.
What happens to souls baptized in the Catholic Church and rarely go to mass and do not go to confession Also what about souls who leave the church all together
Who told you that most Catholics reject the teaching? Yes, Catholic Bishops and priests have been misleading people on the teaching but the true situation is that of ignorance rather than rejection of the infallible teaching that there can be no salvation outside of the Catholic Church.
I don’t know why people have so much trouble believing there’s no salvation outside the Church. That’s why I became catholic 28 years ago as an adult. People will generally accept this teaching these days (and you probably heard this on some Catholic Answers or similar “conformist” shows who try to sit on two chairs) but then put so many “but” and caveats on it that they end up concluding that pretty much every one(except for really, really, REALY bad people) will be saved. True, God will save whomever He pleases outside the Church, but God also sticks to his word about the Church that he built and the Sacraments that He without gave us, without which no one is saved.
Another quick question, how would i post this without upsetting a lot of friends and even family? I held back not out of disbelief of the dogma but feel like some may not be ready and i dont want them to be pushed so to speak out right where i can not continually piece by piece evangelize.
Don't current church teaching and papal encyclicals directly contradict this? If so doesn't that constitute a reversal of doctrine? Or are we just going to use the old "prudential matter" excuse to it sweep under the rug like we do all the other reversals?
Jesus said" If you don't eat my flesh and drink my blood, you have no life in you, because my flesh is the real food and my blood the real drink" ONLY IN THE CATHOLIC CHURCH , WE FIND THE FLESH AND BLOOD OF OUR LORD, THE EUCHARIST! SO, OUTSIDE OF IT, NO ONE CAN SURVIVE SPIRITUALLY! THEY ARE ALL DEAD SPIRITUALLY NO MATTER WHAT THEY DO! NO LIFE/ SALVATION OUTSIDE THE ONE HOLY CATHOLIC APOSTOLIC CHURCH!
Also what many Catholics fail to understand is that Christ said (Many are called but only few are chosen) He said many are called, many is not everyone. That can't be overlooked. Many is Many, not everyone nor everybody.
Well to ponder that concept in the context of salvation it would mean most are damned by God's design, and there is nothing you can do about it. You can't choose yourself. One has to ponder if this has been misconstrued as many if Christ's other statements run counter to that. It almost sounds of the pre-ordination brief.
@@363catman No it is not by the design of God, but by the will of Man. Even many walked away from Christ and many did not. Just think of the parable of the stoney ground, the thistles, and the good ground. He also said that the World hated Him first. I hope this gives you a better understanding.
@user-tn1xv1vc2d I don't disagree with the parable of the seed. The keyword being chosen what if the sewer chose not to sew your seed? Are you still damned? You are not in good ground You are not in rocky ground and you are not among the thorns what happens to you? To my mind many are called but few will answer is a more logical statement to the point.
I am a Protestant. I respect the Catholic church’s own perspective, but have you guys considered what happened to many Protestants when they received Jesus as their saviour, having the Spirit live and work in their hearts n in their lives? Many brought forth good fruit of Christ-like character n good works, zeal for the evangel , plus often manifesting the power of charismatic gifts, martyrdom for love of souls etc? And all these are just human product or demonic? They all go to hell? Please pause for a minute n seek God on this n not just hold onto a set of rigid dogma, though we do need n respect dogma but there’s the Spirit’s work we need to observe in real life too. Notice the early Jewish church had a hard time believing the Spirit could pour upon gentiles too. And how about the Orthodox Church, technically not in the Catholic fold and they don’t accept the papacy as universal head? They, with all their saints n martyrs and 1000 years of celebration of the Sacrifice, all go to hell too? I am not saying Catholics should ignore your historical perspective. But have u left room for Christ for the other “separate flocks”? Would it be possible those belivers are actually saved outside or b4 they enter the membership of the Catholic Church? I wish the Catholic Church, being the historical elderest bro, would be more open n have the humility n wisdom to acknowledge the Spirit’s work outside your administration.
ST. POPE JOHN PAUL II: “The universality of salvation means that it is granted not only to those who explicitly believe in Christ and have entered the church. Since salvation is offered to all, it must be made concretely available to all. But it is clear that today, as in the past, many people do not have an opportunity to come to know or accept the Gospel revelation or enter the Church. The social and cultural conditions in which they live do not permit this, and frequently they have been brought up in other religious traditions. For such people salvation in Christ is accessible by virtue of a grace, which, while having a mysterious relationship to the Church, does not make them formally part of the Church but enlightens them in a way which is accommodated to their spiritual and material situation. This grace comes from Christ; it is the result of his Sacrifice and is communicated by the Holy Spirit. It enables each person to attain salvation through his or her free cooperation.”
So what do you say about PF allowing the Archbishop of Canterbury to have an Anglican Liturgy at St Bartolomeo's church in Rome? Since 1965, Catholics have been going to Billy Graham Crusades and other Pentecostal non-denominational events.

I'm just some guy on YT but I would say "no" to your question. The "good thief" is the prime example people use to explain BOD, but he MUST be categorized as being under the old covenant. Jesus said that he would be with him in "paradise," that day. Jesus himself did not go to heaven until His ascension---forty days later. So the good thief must have gone to the limbo of the just to await the ascension of Christ with Abraham, Moses, the patriarchs, et al. It is also generally believed that baptism became necessary after the establishment of the Church at Pentecost.
Catholics set up a situation of absolute control of your salvation. Only priests can bless the host the create the true presence. You must partake in the Eucharist to be saved. Therefore, you must be Catholic to be saved. Perfect control and that is the way Catholics want it.
No, that is the way that Jesus wanted it by est His One True Church Mt 16:18-19 which is the pillar & foundation of Truth 1 Tim 3:15. Jesus instituted His seven sacraments by which we receive His grace, esp Baptism Jn 3:5 & His Real True Presence, both of which He says are necessary for salvation!
@geoffjs Except the true presence concept is also something the Catholics created and also the priest being necessary to perform the necessary ritual to make it happen. It's really quite clever of Catholics, and I wish us Protestants had thought of it first. Perfect control and perfect guilt for a captive audience. And don't get me started on original sin, papal succession, confession, and Mary being an intercessor. Other creations of Catholics are meant to trap you forever into staying loyal. Loyalty not to Christ, but to the Church foremost.

I do have a question if someone wants to answer, no sugar coating. Would those that dont have access to Catholicism, lets say Japan before Catholicism came to the Island, God wants the entire Island to make it to heaven, those that, God willing, receive the grace make it. Is that possible or no?
Yes, kind of. “ God wants the entire island to make it to heaven”.... God creates people for Heaven. He “ wants” all of us to go to Heaven. He doesn’t force anyone. He is Infinitely Just and Merciful. He actually said that “ many are called, but few are chosen.”. He gave us free will, and most of us misuse it. When missionaries came to North America there was at least one tribe that had been Previously catechized by “ a lady in blue”. Several tribes had received prophecies about the missionaries coming. Generations before the missionaries came. When these tribes heard about missionaries in North America They sent emissaries to beg the missionaries to come to their area. Several emissaries died on those treks. It took years before the missionaries could go. Several groups of emissaries travelled for weeks to find missionaries. Some of the tribes became so Holy after Baptism they were like the first Christians. UNTIL they were corrupted by bootleggers, protestants, and despair over thieving, lying politicians. It’s one thing to receive the Grace. It’s a whole ‘nother endeavour to preserve It in our souls from local influences and pressures, temptations and our own fallen nature. That is why so many missionaries gave their lives to save souls, and why contemplative nuns like the Carmelites do the same.
☺ It's up to GOD. Certainly, what Pope Francis, has been promoting; which all FAITHFUL Catholics are aware of, shall undoubtedly lead many souls to HELL ! 💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥
If you were baptized as an infant it would have happened in 1963? That was before the Novus Ordo was established. But God is good because even if you were baptized by a "liberal" priest, or anyone at all really, as long as they did it correctly (matter, form, intention) you are most definitely baptized.
And my kids??? I have to say that my preists have been reverent so I have confidence that we are ok. I'm blessed to be in this Parish now but worry it will change if our pastor leaves. There's an SSPX I will go to when that happens.
@El-Harto This is a change. Bp Tissier de Mallerais, sermon from June 29, 2016 at Econe: “Clearly, we cannot accept this faked new rite of ordination that leaves doubts concerning the validity of numerous ordinations done according to the new rite. Thus this new rite of ordination is not Catholic." Lefebvre: The Novus Ordo priests emerging from the Novus Ordo seminaries are bastard priests. The Mass at Lille, 29 August 1976 "My conviction is that novus ordo priests are not validly ordained." - Fr. Michael Johnson, SSPX, June 18, 2023
Before there was a Church, Christ told the thief on the cross when the thief asked Jesus to remember him, Christ said " Today you will be with me in paradise " There was no Church at that moment. No Pope. Jesus said you must be born again. Love the Lord you God with all your soul, all your mind and all your heart. Scripture is the supremacy clause!!
POPE BONIFACE VIII, UNAM SANCTAM, 1302: “The Roman Pontiff judges all men, but is judged by no one. We declare, assert, define, and pronounce: to be subject to the Roman Pontiff is to every creature altogether necessary for salvation. That which was spoken of Christ, ‘thou hast subdued all things under his feet’ may well seem verified in me. I have the authority of the King of Kings. I am all in all, and above all, so that God Himself and I (the Vicar of God), have but one consistory, and I am able to do almost all that God can do. What, therefore, can you make of me but God?”

I asked a SSPX priest and he said Limbo is a part of Purgatory. Purgatory will cease at the Last Judgement. He said it is permitted to hope that God will incorporate the souls of unBaptized babies at the end of the world. They might not get Beatific Vision but will have a natural happiness.@@lordoftherings2571
Please don't say "Novus Ordo". That is the Sacrament of the Mass and has the Real Presence. More like the Lord's Supper and Early Church Mass as presided over by our Saints. Read about the Early Mass. It was not TLM. Both the TLM and NO are licit.
Did Jesus actually say ... after my church is established anyone who is not in it is condemened, period. Or was this teaching from men drawing conclusions of what they think he meant ?
I attend the TLM and have a degree in theology, and I don’t agree with Kennedy. Instead of promoting and discussing complicated and controversial theological subjects which divide people, one should spend time studying the sacred scriptures in prayerful union with God, and living a life of charity in order to achieve holiness and eternal life. Let’s stop playing God, and let Him decide who gets into heaven!
I have read in a cathecism written by Jean-Joseph Gaume that those in “invincible ignorance” are joined in the church invisibly. This is an apparent contradiction with the teaching of pope Pius IX but it’s a real contradiction? Was this opinion formerly condemned? Idk.
People in “ invincible ignorance” are still created by God, for God. They have His Natural Law inscribed in their conscience. If they follow His Natural Law AND are open to God’s Guidance, He will lead them to Baptism of Desire, wherein, if they knew more, they would do more, but at least they are open to Grace. Because of the devil’s war on souls, and because of the sinfulness surrounding us, it would still be very difficult to keep pure with only Baptism of Desire, which is why so many missionaries gave their lives to go forth and teach all nations, so that souls would have access to the Sacraments and Church teachings and the Merits of the Communion of Saints.

You are right. Being nice is not good enough.

@@MonMon-qi5gw wow. Wish more would speak like you. You said it all

It is a fait accompli.)
I sadly accept this.
Trent Catechism CLEARLY teaches Baptism of Desire and it has NEVER been corrected or amended.
"On adults, however, the Church has not been accustomed to confer the Sacrament of Baptism at once, but has ordained that it be deferred for a certain time. The delay is not attended with the same danger as in the case of infants, which we have already mentioned; should any unforeseen accident make it impossible for adults to be washed in the salutary waters, their intention and determination to receive Baptism and their repentance for past sins, will avail them to grace and righteousness."

God bless you sir for speaking the Truth
Amen to that. God bless your mouth
How can we explain this to those who do not believe the Catholic Church is the one true church?? I want to share this with my family…
Quoting from the biography of St. John Vianney, The Curé of Ars by Marshall, Bruce (New York City: Sheed and Ward, 1952):
"...a woman...told....Vianney that she was devastated because her husband had committed suicide.
Thankyou for reminding us of this!
I agree completely
Thanks!
Welcome!
Other we like or not is no salvation outside Jesus only church.. thanks Kennedy for being firm as was our beloved Pius X and Lefebvre ❤️
This is well done. This is the OG dogma for many.
Thank you!!!!!
You're welcome!
I would recommend reading a book called Open Letter to Confused Catholics. The audio book is also available on TH-cam. Your concerns will be addressed
Search for a chapel of SSPX near you……there you will find wonderful priests who adhere to tradition and the true faith.
Try and locate a SSPX Chapel. Solid, truthful teaching and reverend liturgy.
I pray for them 🙏🙏🙏
Thank you Mr. Kennedy for the great explanation! 👍👍🙏🙏
The Lord Jesus did not found the catholic church . What a total lie. The very government of the catholic church is found absolutely nowhere in Scripture.
There are no priests, archbishops, cardinals or popes in Scripture.
The Lord Jesus chooses and gives grace (empowerment of His Spirit, authority) to apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers and none others.
Ephesians 4:7-13
Spiritual Gifts
7 But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ’s gift. 8 Therefore He says:
“When He ascended on high,
He led captivity captive,
And gave gifts to men.”
9 (Now this, “He ascended”-what does it mean but that He also [a]first descended into the lower parts of the earth? 10 He who descended is also the One who ascended far above all the heavens, that He might fill all things.)

There is no salvation outside the Catholic Church, and it makes perfect sense. God the Son built His Holy Catholic Church as the conduit of grace which brings salvation to mankind. Without this grace, which is only found in that conduit, mankind cannot be saved.
Baptism of desire/blood is not for protestants, pagans and heretics/schematics. Vatican 'll are the ones who teach that heresy.
Baptism of desire/blood is not for protestants, pagans and heretics/schematics. Vatican 'll are the ones who teach that heresy.
Therefore salvation for pagans and protestants by baptism of desire because of invincible ignorance is a big lie.
This is not true, St Thomas Aquinas is clear on this, and I side with him
In John 6 our LORD JESUS CHRIST said “unless you eat my flesh and drink my blood, you shall not have life within you.” It is very clear that Our LORD JESUS CHRIST is referring to the Holy Eucharist and only the Catholic Church has the valid Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist!
I have a brother who will no longer speaks to me because I told him this. He's left the faith and joined a heretical "faith." I cautioned him also as he has the mark of Catholic baptism and confirmation on his soul.
Yep.
Whatever the previous discussions were we have to understand that The Gospel seems to have been spread throughout the entire world at this point, making ignorance of any kind completely moot.
Yes that’s a good point
Says you... I’m still ignorant after six decades as a Catholic.

It's a pity that that resource on the necessity of being in the Church isn't publically available.

Well because the church has become a clown show. This cannot be what God intended.
What am I to make of all of this, please and thank you,
Hey there, good question.

It is important to realize this in order to get the intended sense of the encyclical itself.

i guess chronology speaks louder than words.
How do you know which sect of the Catholic Church is the one with the salvation?
If most Catholics reject this teaching, it is because we have been taught to reject it by our priests.

No it is not by the design of God, but by the will of Man.

Kennedy, would the good thief be an example of Baptism by desire?
I'm just some guy on YT but I would say "no" to your question. The "good thief" is the prime example people use to explain BOD, but he MUST be categorized as being under the old covenant. Jesus said that he would be with him in "paradise," that day. Jesus himself did not go to heaven until His ascension---forty days later. So the good thief must have gone to the limbo of the just to await the ascension of Christ with Abraham, Moses, the patriarchs, et al.
As a life long Catholic, I’ve never been more convicted & convinced of His Real True Presence in the Eucharist, largely through my lived experience. Even Luther believed this! You’re effectively rejecting His teaching Jn 6:51-58 1 Cor 10:13-17
Jesus commanded an unbloody REPRESENTATION of Calvary Jn 6 51-58 with the priest in persona Christi acting as Jesus the high priest offering Him as victim to His Father.

That being said, are we to assume anyone baptized in the NO rite is not baptized? Just wondering if I am really baptized. I'm 61 yrs old!
@El-Harto This is a change.
Bp Tissier de Mallerais, sermon from June 29, 2016 at Econe: “Clearly, we cannot accept this faked new rite of ordination that leaves doubts concerning the validity of numerous ordinations done according to the new rite. Thus this new rite of ordination is not Catholic."
Lefebvre: The Novus Ordo priests emerging from the Novus Ordo seminaries are bastard priests. The Mass at Lille, 29 August 1976
"My conviction is that novus ordo priests are not validly ordained." - Fr. Michael Johnson, SSPX, June 18, 2023

@El-Harto The "organizational position" of a Catholic entity would have to be in conformity with Catholic teaching.
I miss the suit kennedy. So sad!
Is the Catholic Church actively trying to evangelize all the nations and people? If not, then how can it justify such a stance?

It's dogma. To deny or doubt a dogma is to cease to be Catholic. They're not really Roman Catholic. Maybe Protestant, maybe Novus Ordo, whatever.
Please don't say "Novus Ordo". That is the Sacrament of the Mass and has the Real Presence. More like the Lord's Supper and Early Church Mass as presided over by our Saints. Read about the Early Mass. It was not TLM.
Both the TLM and NO are licit.

Idk.
lol how can you be ignorant of the faith but also have saving faith in God?
