Correct me if I am wrong, but at 5:55, there is no need to wait, as if you split your navy and set them to Naval Invasion Support before the war, then there is, at a minimum, a one hour window after war declaration which guarantees a naval invasion will fire. The AI, so long as it is at peace before you declare war, will not have its navy deployed anywhere.

So i believe this exploit still works however there are two caveats. The first is that your divisions do not always respond to the naval invasion commands on tick, the best fix is to play at 1 speed and hope your division AI kicks into gear faster than the portugal ship ai, which usually works in my favour but has gone wrong a handful of time. The second issue is that once the ships are out on both sides, i have nothing to stop them convoy raiding my troops into oblivion, and considering i intend to ship more than 10 troops over to win this war, i prefer to side on caution with some naval combat effectiveness.
All that being said - i think you probably could do it that fast. Not sure it works so well for my guides that are more so noob friendly - i dont do too many speedruns/world conquests lol
