Its not the characters fault its the way they designed him. Lets say they make a Goku card and he is the most useless card in the game because of shit passive and SA effect and becomes the worst DF in sales. Do you think they will stop to make goku cards? Int Goku Black was very fun on release because remember how he was bugged at first? He got like 5 million Atk stats in a time where 2million was considered great
It adds up as raditz is an April fools joke. But in all honesty he seems like a unit that should've come out years ago, maybe near DokkanFest Str coolers time. Would've been a good aoe unit that could've helped back then in sbr and annoying dokkan events with multiple enemies.
I have a theory that he was meant to be the DFE before LR Vegeta/Nappa came out back in 2020, but for some reason got held back. Which is why this guy and that LR feel so out of place when they released as they came out of nowhere. Even his active skill doesn't have his mouth move which just proves he's 2 years late to the party. It's just so weird man that they never fixed him.
Are you high? They would never release anything at raditz's power level at that time. He would've broken the game. He'd be an immovable wall from turn 1 and the strongest unit in the game once the enemy dropped bellow 50% hp

Overall I'd agree that it could be a possibility he was set for release a long time back cus LGE was prob the hardest event and he would've helped with his defense.
It's funny how some of the units in this video are mainly units designed for long events/ units that need several turns to reach their "powerful form", and I think this is mainly a result of how Dokkan decided to treat this type of content. Let's start by analyzing the amount of long events in the game, until Golden Week/Goku day of 2021, there were only 2 long events in the game, the Infinity Dragon Ball History and the Legendary Goku event, with the latter being released in May of 2019, that's literally 2 years without a event that allows especifics characters to work properly, that's why most people consider Sbr the most relevant content, we only had that for 2 years. Talking about the events itself(Legendary Goku , Legendary Vegeta and Legendary GT Goku), they are all basically the same, 1 fight on the map that continues for several turns, when you K.O the enemy, he assumes a new stronger form, they are immune to most debuffs from start to finish, being immune to all of them on the final form and also canceling dodge. The way this is built is horrible for units like STR Kefla, by the time she gets to Super Saiyan 2, you are probably close to the end of the end, and her dodge won't be effective. Also Teq Buu and Str Buu, they take so long to get to their final forms, that you would probably die before they transform. Another thing is about power creep regarding this especifc events, the difference in difficulty between LGE and GT LGE is so high that units that performed well in the former, probably won't be good anymore. The best solution I can see is that they should have released more of this event in those 2 years, that way the powercreep between event wouldn't be so bad, and this units would probably be better seen by the community. I think they are fine with AGL Tapion since he can go on the 1st slot and let the LR attack first which he needs in order to get it's damage reduction, their problem is that their ATK stat is just super low, it's 55% DFE TUR-tier.
Once GoBros gets an EZA and you can run AGL Taption + LR Tapion on one rotation and GoBros on the other, LR Taption will seem a lot better. Right now, have 2 LR Tapions is redundant and there arent any other good Sibling Bond leaders
Ya, I like using them for a sibling's bond team in battlefield. I'm pretty sure I used him for some esbr too. Might have just been an sbr. I like them. They just have limited usage.
Raditz really feels like a scrapped concept for a Dokkanfest unit from years ago that they quickly buffed to release as a new dokkanfest in a rush, but because they didn't test his new kit as much as they should, he ended up still being outdated, both in kit and animations, the animations specially, looking like they are from early 2020. This makes a lot of sense when you realize that he leads the Saiyan Saga, a category that honestly they should have added a long time ago.

Even after going through the memory lane of all these cards I can definitely say Raditz is the single worst unit "on release". He is unimpressive both offensively and defensively. His leader skill is certainly powerful, but you're mostly using it for pure saiyans boost and I'd rather use EZA AGL SSBE Vegeta for that. Everyone else in the video had either incredible offensive power or something to their kit if they weren't a good unit overall and if they were horrendous defensively like Teq Ssj3 Broly, you could get away with it because defense back then didn't matter as much and you'd just put up high atk numbers with him.
nah raditz can atleast tank somewhat well in the most diffcult event in the game. Agl bardock took 60k per normal in agl extreme sbr the most difficult event in the game when he released. in comparison to recent dokkanfests raditz is bad and while other characters were 'in line' with previous dokkanfests doesnt make them good
Teq HIT was definitely the worst on release. He dropped around the same time as LR K&C who were defensive menaces and he had literally no defensive boost.

Out of all these characters, SSB Kaioken is the most interesting to me bc he could easily get an EZA just like Hit and they wouldn’t even have to do much. He literally just needs more defense, maybe a small tweak to his attack and the full 170 leader skill and you got yourself a busted ass unit on like 11 or 12 teams

Real talk for a second: LR Tapion carried me through a few super battle road stages and I used them for the legendary Vegeta event and they did fine as a 2nd slot with a rotation with AGL tapion. Around 200k defense at 55% + the damage reduction also worked fine for me. The unit doesnt hit that hard tbf, but with AGL tapion they have the perfect linking partner and a godlike rotation. They are a really good 2nd slot unit for me tbh. Actually like using the unit so Truth maybe use them more?
Yeah but lr tapion is not on many categories as well as the fact that he doesn’t link well with other units on his own categories (agl tapion being the exception).

Given they are miles better then LR Tapion, but they also where released half a year later, yet Truth rates them very highly. Int Rose was my first powerhouse unit when I started playing. My team was kinda lack luster until I was able to get the medals for LR Trunks and Mai. Then I got Supreme Oppai and AGL adult Gotenks and eventually my first main team was a time travelers team. Ah good times

LR super 17 isn't weird, and as someone who uses him a lot he's not bad by any means, however he's designed like shit. An LR super 17 without ki absorption? Really? Also he's the "best" leader for GT bosses and he just cannot function on that team since he needs androids and he's the only Android on the team. He should have gotten ki absorption like 19/20 and have all his Android and target goku passives work for GT bosses aswell, and give him the Big bad bosses link ffs.

Yeah it feels like he should have come out 1-1,5 years ago, like, if he came out right after 6th anniversary before we got all the op turs he would have been a good unit, not groundbreaking but good. I 100% agree on int rose. On release i got him 69% and he was crushing content. His lack of defense was apparent though. He carried a ton of my legendary goku event runs though. His animations were just so clean. I actually link leveled him to 10 and still use him every now and then. And seeing as i have never pulled phy goku black I can say I’ve used him 1042 times. His team was decent too. Can’t wait for his eza. I really hope he’s like evo vegeta, turles etc and not like ss3 broly
i remember being so happy about getting him on release because his animations are so clean, and after having come back to the game a couple months ago from a 3ish year break, it's really apparent that he could use an EZA

I'm kinda leaning towars the idea that Raditz was an older designed unit meant to be an LR. Maybe a part 2 summonable LR for a Saiyan Saga celebration. But they held off on the Saiyan Saga and simply forgot about this Raditz. So now they needed something quick to sqeeuze in. They slapped a 200% leader skill on him and call it a day. He simply feels out of place. He for example wouldn't be my top pick to be the first leader of a Saiyan Saga category. They easily could have given that to the Anniversary Legendary Summon LR's. Also his additional 30% to Space Traveling Warriors only benefits a few characters.
I shall not take the tapion and minotia slander, they're way better people give them credit for, they perform way better then raditz and any other unit mentioned on this video, no way they need to be on here

pure saiyans honestly needed a good leader, and that good leader arrived IMMEDIATELY before Raditz showed up drunk and late to the party. What really gets me is that Raditz doesn't give himself substantial ki for World Tournament, because I could see him being a pretty decent WT lead otherwise.
I feel there is a bit of revisionist history with Hit I remember when he was a global exclusive, JP cried and cried forever until they got him. At the time, he was the first duel leader unit qnd his stun/debuff was very powerful for OG SBR Hit aged fastly, but I don't even see how his release is even close to as bad as Raditz. Raditz has a redundant leader skill and has 0 uses. He sucks everywhere
Hit had 0 DEF when DEF was already important. His stuns were the only good thing about him... and the thing with them is that they only worked in SBR. Hit was atrocious before his EZA.

Truth is suffering from whale syndrome where he has every unit rainbowed and he doesnt have to run weaker teams and because of that he doesn't realise T and M are the best leader for Siblings bond and they make the team runnable because they can tank fairly well and have the utility with their active skill, if you link them with AGL Tapion you have a perfect slot 1 and 2 combo. I don't think they belong on this list at all.
I beat USS original stage with Hit so I never slandered him and Truth did no item a stage with pre EZA Hit and benching Teq Gohan. That was one of the greatest no item run in the history of Dokkan. STR Super Buu I hate that unit with all my heart and I hate the cappers. OH HE HAS200K DEFENSE AFTER 5 TURNS meanwhile he's taking 400K for the 5 turns
Honesty I am surprised the GT trio weren’t mentioned at all. Upon release, their kit was just a budget Goku Frieza who came out 4 months ago on JP, or almost a year on Global. Their leader skill led one of the worst teams during their time, and their passive required full dragon ball seekers to not struggle for ki.
Being a worse Goku Frieza isn't bad because Goku Frieza are literally far in away the best unit in the game (can be argued with LR Ssj4 Goku) And although DB Seekers is just full of F2P unit, it's actually very fun and very capable, some people can no item Super Class SBR, one of the hardest stage at the time, with that team, and of course LR GT Trio carry it hard
I think you hit the nail on the head with the release issues of Raditz. They had to scramble with the setbacks to Super Hero and probably didn't have the unit tested and ready but had to release as-is to stall for time. They couldn't release ANYTHING to do with the movie.
You cannot make this up. He has an "Attack all" Super, then the first conditional part of his passive is "ATK & DEF +50% when performing a Super Attack when facing 1 enemy"... Lol what? His Super is AOE but you give him a SA buff against only 1 enemy? What? He is so bad. They should have given him the DFE Videl treatment since they knew Videl wasn't a good enough character to drive sales so they have her an amazing kit. Raditz should have been given the same. He is trash.
With LR STR Tapion and Minotia you can at least run them on all their Category teams (-Joined Forces) with EZA AGL Tapion and do decently well with them in slot 2 and AGL Tapion in slot 1
So many str characters in WT using LR nappa and vegeta with maybe a bulma support does the job quite easily. Although I hate playing WT they are useful there. One of my most anticipated EZAs because I love the animations and their kit.
5:30 I'm not even sure you could balance a character with no def in passive, except giving 100% dodge against certain character, or something absolutely silly as 80+% damage reduction by default, guaranteed aoe stun, 20+% hp regen and infinite massive raise atk/def with guaranteed 3 supers, and active skill bee pan's buff
Raditz immediately needs an LR that is like a Saiyan saga LR the buffs the team to make him good. IMAGINE if you would an LR that featured raditz napa and Vegeta. Like a revive or exchange or something but it could really help. I'm thinking a triple revive. Raditz dies goes to Napa then Napa to Vegeta. Or raditz exchanges to Napa who revives to Vegeta. That would be dope.
Now is it possible to do some of the most busted units on release besides anniversary and Download celebration Lrs. So characters like Teq Ulthan, Str Cooler, Lr K&C, Lr Jiren

Un personaje que jamás me gustó desde que salió es Zamasu Agl Transformable, su reducción de daño no era suficiente para su baja defensa, recuerdo que cuando salió ni siquiera era posible vencer el LGE con él a 55%, incluso rainbow tomaba mucho daño cuando recibía un súper ataque y en ese entonces no habían muchos líderes de ROG así que era usarlo o poner al Goku UI LR que no muchos tenían.
I honestly feel like Teq Janemba should've been on this list. 0 Ki links and needing more orbs for his passive then Pikkon just really made him feel very mid at release.
When INT Goku Black first came out I was very disappointed. Saying he was "better when he first came out" is true technically, but he was still really bad and no one can tell me otherwise. He had the same problem as the 5th year LRs did where he stacked defense very slowly even after he transformed.
Kid gohan is basically like a banner unit hidden as a dokkan fest, i like him but he is never the "spotlight" of the teams you use him But his active is pretty awesome
Honestly, his kit can be somewhat special. I'd make it where he greatly stacked attack and defense. Start him off with 159 percent attack and defense at start of turn. Make the attack and defense buff on hits max out at 100 instead of 59. Maybe make his active skill slightly better by having 3 instead of 6 USS units. The rest can honestly stay the same. I'm like you, I would love for them to make that unit busted.
I think Int LR Cell should get a mention too. Him and Gohan were definitely disappointing but Gohan could stack at least. Cell was bad on release except in super battle road until he got buffed from the link level update and even then he wasn't meta. He was incredibly disappointing considering how hype of a character he is and that its obvious they nerfed him before release due to his kit having absolutely nothing to do with the meta at the time. I'm hoping his EZA will be god tier especially since he's probably the only transforming Perfect Cell we will get.
Cell and gohan are almost certainly the most disappointing releases in dokkan history but I don’t think I’d say among the worst. Cell was definitely not as good as he should’ve been but he was still probably a top 10-15 unit in the game on his release which isn’t something you can say for the rest of these characters.
I hope that in the near future Int goku black, str transforming majin buu and str ssgss kaioken goku will get an EZA that will give them new stats or boost the stats that they already have

@@goji8755 no it's actually fake if you just look at the picture itself because first of all the movie is being worked on and animated in CGI the whole movie is being done in CGI yet this raditz "leak" is in 2d animation which isn't in the movie whatsoever and again the raditz leak looks like it's screenshotted off a phone or a picture from a phone in a movie theater with terrible quality and might I add Toei doesn't work with low quality equipment when it comes to movies and third Toei animation already came out and said that the movie itself is 95 percent done which means all the animators are done with making the movie so this raditz "leak" is even more proven to be bullshit when Toei doesn't even mention anything about the supposed raditz leak and it wouldn't fit the narrative of the movie also like c'mon really make it make sense my guy
Some honorable mentions I would add would be Lr Trunks & Mai, although they were at least viable for Future SBR. Also the Lr Androids, but with them 16 was pretty stupidly good when they came out. Also Future Gohan, who had a wanky defense, but atleast a decent Leader with Future and last but not least LR Full Power Frieza who seemed kind of odd and wanky as well when he came out. Gohan and Frieza are the two most comparable to Raditz I would say atleast when they releasd
I'm surprised Teq SS2 Vegeta wasn't on the list. He is just so wonky and hard to run because of the way they did him. His type changing and then losing prepared for battle really hurts his ability to be run on a variety of teams.

The way this is built is horrible for units like STR Kefla, by the time she gets to Super Saiyan 2, you are probably close to the end of the end, and her dodge won't be effective. Also Teq Buu and Str Buu, they take so long to get to their final forms, that you would probably die before they transform.
Another thing is about power creep regarding this especifc events, the difference in difficulty between LGE and GT LGE is so high that units that performed well in the former, probably won't be good anymore.
The best solution I can see is that they should have released more of this event in those 2 years, that way the powercreep between event wouldn't be so bad, and this units would probably be better seen by the community.

I think they are fine with AGL Tapion since he can go on the 1st slot and let the LR attack first which he needs in order to get it's damage reduction, their problem is that their ATK stat is just super low, it's 55% DFE TUR-tier.

Raditz really feels like a scrapped concept for a Dokkanfest unit from years ago that they quickly buffed to release as a new dokkanfest in a rush, but because they didn't test his new kit as much as they should, he ended up still being outdated, both in kit and animations, the animations specially, looking like they are from early 2020.
This makes a lot of sense when you realize that he leads the Saiyan Saga, a category that honestly they should have added a long time ago.

Even after going through the memory lane of all these cards I can definitely say Raditz is the single worst unit "on release". He is unimpressive both offensively and defensively. His leader skill is certainly powerful, but you're mostly using it for pure saiyans boost and I'd rather use EZA AGL SSBE Vegeta for that. Everyone else in the video had either incredible offensive power or something to their kit if they weren't a good unit overall and if they were horrendous defensively like Teq Ssj3 Broly, you could get away with it because defense back then didn't matter as much and you'd just put up high atk numbers with him.
nah raditz can atleast tank somewhat well in the most diffcult event in the game. Agl bardock took 60k per normal in agl extreme sbr the most difficult event in the game when he released.
in comparison to recent dokkanfests raditz is bad and while other characters were 'in line' with previous dokkanfests doesnt make them good
Teq HIT was definitely the worst on release. He dropped around the same time as LR K&C who were defensive menaces and he had literally no defensive boost.

Out of all these characters, SSB Kaioken is the most interesting to me bc he could easily get an EZA just like Hit and they wouldn’t even have to do much. He literally just needs more defense, maybe a small tweak to his attack and the full 170 leader skill and you got yourself a busted ass unit on like 11 or 12 teams

Tapion and Minotia are quirky but they’re so good with eza Tapion. Such a good rotation.
Real talk for a second: LR Tapion carried me through a few super battle road stages and I used them for the legendary Vegeta event and they did fine as a 2nd slot with a rotation with AGL tapion. Around 200k defense at 55% + the damage reduction also worked fine for me. The unit doesnt hit that hard tbf, but with AGL tapion they have the perfect linking partner and a godlike rotation. They are a really good 2nd slot unit for me tbh. Actually like using the unit so Truth maybe use them more?

Given they are miles better then LR Tapion, but they also where released half a year later, yet Truth rates them very highly. Int Rose was my first powerhouse unit when I started playing. My team was kinda lack luster until I was able to get the medals for LR Trunks and Mai. Then I got Supreme Oppai and AGL adult Gotenks and eventually my first main team was a time travelers team. Ah good times

I 100% agree on int rose. On release i got him 69% and he was crushing content. His lack of defense was apparent though. He carried a ton of my legendary goku event runs though. His animations were just so clean. I actually link leveled him to 10 and still use him every now and then. And seeing as i have never pulled phy goku black I can say I’ve used him 1042 times. His team was decent too. Can’t wait for his eza. I really hope he’s like evo vegeta, turles etc and not like ss3 broly

I'm kinda leaning towars the idea that Raditz was an older designed unit meant to be an LR. Maybe a part 2 summonable LR for a Saiyan Saga celebration. But they held off on the Saiyan Saga and simply forgot about this Raditz. So now they needed something quick to sqeeuze in. They slapped a 200% leader skill on him and call it a day. He simply feels out of place. He for example wouldn't be my top pick to be the first leader of a Saiyan Saga category. They easily could have given that to the Anniversary Legendary Summon LR's. Also his additional 30% to Space Traveling Warriors only benefits a few characters.

pure saiyans honestly needed a good leader, and that good leader arrived IMMEDIATELY before Raditz showed up drunk and late to the party.
What really gets me is that Raditz doesn't give himself substantial ki for World Tournament, because I could see him being a pretty decent WT lead otherwise.

People were in denial because he was a global first, that's the only thing - and the same thing happened with STR SSJBKK who, according to some people, was better then STR COOLER back in the day only because he was a global first and people wanted it to be real.
Truth is suffering from whale syndrome where he has every unit rainbowed and he doesnt have to run weaker teams and because of that he doesn't realise T and M are the best leader for Siblings bond and they make the team runnable because they can tank fairly well and have the utility with their active skill, if you link them with AGL Tapion you have a perfect slot 1 and 2 combo. I don't think they belong on this list at all.

I beat USS original stage with Hit so I never slandered him and Truth did no item a stage with pre EZA Hit and benching Teq Gohan. That was one of the greatest no item run in the history of Dokkan. STR Super Buu I hate that unit with all my heart and I hate the cappers. OH HE HAS200K DEFENSE AFTER 5 TURNS meanwhile he's taking 400K for the 5 turns
Honesty I am surprised the GT trio weren’t mentioned at all. Upon release, their kit was just a budget Goku Frieza who came out 4 months ago on JP, or almost a year on Global.
Their leader skill led one of the worst teams during their time, and their passive required full dragon ball seekers to not struggle for ki.
Being a worse Goku Frieza isn't bad because Goku Frieza are literally far in away the best unit in the game (can be argued with LR Ssj4 Goku)
And although DB Seekers is just full of F2P unit, it's actually very fun and very capable, some people can no item Super Class SBR, one of the hardest stage at the time, with that team, and of course LR GT Trio carry it hard
The GT Trio was really good back then, good defense, easy 4m+ damage and DB seekers was a good team too
I think you hit the nail on the head with the release issues of Raditz. They had to scramble with the setbacks to Super Hero and probably didn't have the unit tested and ready but had to release as-is to stall for time. They couldn't release ANYTHING to do with the movie.
You cannot make this up. He has an "Attack all" Super, then the first conditional part of his passive is "ATK & DEF +50% when performing a Super Attack when facing 1 enemy"... Lol what? His Super is AOE but you give him a SA buff against only 1 enemy? What? He is so bad. They should have given him the DFE Videl treatment since they knew Videl wasn't a good enough character to drive sales so they have her an amazing kit. Raditz should have been given the same. He is trash.
With LR STR Tapion and Minotia you can at least run them on all their Category teams (-Joined Forces) with EZA AGL Tapion and do decently well with them in slot 2 and AGL Tapion in slot 1
His passive may activate mid-turn, but every turn with Raditz on IS a MID TURN lmao
They should’ve just made all those stat boosts non conditional but made it so he gets a guaranteed additional when facing one enemy that’s it

5:30 I'm not even sure you could balance a character with no def in passive, except giving 100% dodge against certain character, or something absolutely silly as 80+% damage reduction by default, guaranteed aoe stun, 20+% hp regen and infinite massive raise atk/def with guaranteed 3 supers, and active skill bee pan's buff

Raditz immediately needs an LR that is like a Saiyan saga LR the buffs the team to make him good. IMAGINE if you would an LR that featured raditz napa and Vegeta. Like a revive or exchange or something but it could really help. I'm thinking a triple revive. Raditz dies goes to Napa then Napa to Vegeta. Or raditz exchanges to Napa who revives to Vegeta. That would be dope.

When INT Goku Black first came out I was very disappointed. Saying he was "better when he first came out" is true technically, but he was still really bad and no one can tell me otherwise. He had the same problem as the 5th year LRs did where he stacked defense very slowly even after he transformed.
I can certainly agree about TEQ Hit ON RELEASE. AFTER his EZA tho, he's pretty damm good imo.

Honestly, his kit can be somewhat special. I'd make it where he greatly stacked attack and defense. Start him off with 159 percent attack and defense at start of turn. Make the attack and defense buff on hits max out at 100 instead of 59. Maybe make his active skill slightly better by having 3 instead of 6 USS units. The rest can honestly stay the same. I'm like you, I would love for them to make that unit busted.
I think Int LR Cell should get a mention too. Him and Gohan were definitely disappointing but Gohan could stack at least. Cell was bad on release except in super battle road until he got buffed from the link level update and even then he wasn't meta. He was incredibly disappointing considering how hype of a character he is and that its obvious they nerfed him before release due to his kit having absolutely nothing to do with the meta at the time. I'm hoping his EZA will be god tier especially since he's probably the only transforming Perfect Cell we will get.
Cell and gohan are almost certainly the most disappointing releases in dokkan history but I don’t think I’d say among the worst. Cell was definitely not as good as he should’ve been but he was still probably a top 10-15 unit in the game on his release which isn’t something you can say for the rest of these characters.

@@goji8755 no it's actually fake if you just look at the picture itself because first of all the movie is being worked on and animated in CGI the whole movie is being done in CGI yet this raditz "leak" is in 2d animation which isn't in the movie whatsoever and again the raditz leak looks like it's screenshotted off a phone or a picture from a phone in a movie theater with terrible quality and might I add Toei doesn't work with low quality equipment when it comes to movies and third Toei animation already came out and said that the movie itself is 95 percent done which means all the animators are done with making the movie so this raditz "leak" is even more proven to be bullshit when Toei doesn't even mention anything about the supposed raditz leak and it wouldn't fit the narrative of the movie also like c'mon really make it make sense my guy
Broly Chili and limo are actually the worst and im shocked you didnt mention them.
Some honorable mentions I would add would be Lr Trunks & Mai, although they were at least viable for Future SBR. Also the Lr Androids, but with them 16 was pretty stupidly good when they came out. Also Future Gohan, who had a wanky defense, but atleast a decent Leader with Future and last but not least LR Full Power Frieza who seemed kind of odd and wanky as well when he came out. Gohan and Frieza are the two most comparable to Raditz I would say atleast when they releasd
I'm surprised Teq SS2 Vegeta wasn't on the list. He is just so wonky and hard to run because of the way they did him. His type changing and then losing prepared for battle really hurts his ability to be run on a variety of teams.
what? Hes far and above a great aging unit. You're actually on something. He's able to be run on extreme majin buu saga teams which is enough for him. He links well with int majin vegeta and still has some of the best effects.
