i mean we’re entering a dead zone for dokkan, after WWDC, October-New Years they typically drop nothing until New Years, so the years pretty much over for Dokkan
Omega is such an unfortunate release man, he was on the cusp of being a great unit but Omatsu in all of his cruelty tied him to only being good in one of the worst categories in the game.
Had his damage reduction restriction been tied to just extreme class units, he'd be so good. Omega deserved better.
The problem isn't that he's tied to GT bosses, is that he's tied to GT bosses but he's just decent.
This was a GOLDEN opportunity to turn Omega into the DOkkan equivalent of V1 Sengoku from OPTC, where he's a beyond busted god of a leader that leads a shitty team.
Imagine him giving 35% support to GT bosses for two turns so with a double lead it's 70% support for the whole rotation, and also have him gain 35% DR if the team is extreme class and another 35% if the team is full of GT bosses and have his rainbow orb changing not tied to to turns and also gaining the 23 WT goku revive passive so both leads have it and if the whole rotation is GT bosses he has a guaranteed scouter.
70% Damage reduction, 70% ATK & DEF support with scouter, indisputed number 1 unit in the game that is balanced by being tied to a shitty team, but i guess that would be too much brainpower for the dokkan devs and their 40 million dollar a month of revenue game to implement.
@@mariozappini7784Omega should've had this type of kit, but he also should've gotten another gt bosses character that supports the category so that way he isn't literally carrying the team by himself. It's kinda sad when the syn shenron from 7th year anniversary is in contention for the 2nd best unit on the team.

It's also infuriating as they deadass have the perfect reason to release a new ginyu force/bardock squad/Metal Coolers type of F2P team with the shadow dragons and help Omega out but NOPE, and also just fucking change it to GT villains ffs.
The category would be great if I designed the passives man. Instead they released all these shadow dragons that suckass
Omega deserved so much better. Dude was straight up the final big boss of DB for like close to two decades and he just gets disrespected like that.
For me as much as I love Turles and his mid kit he's also one of my most hated units. His intro is the closest to Bulma support we have for Villains so if they didn't have the restriction he'd be so much more fun.

I just hate it when units with great animations + nice osts get pretty much completely ruined by the decision of a singular team,that arguably had the easiest job to do.
Exactly, what i dread the most about all of these being an fumble, is the waste of animations and the OST too, Im going to rage if the TEQ LR SSJ2 Gohan from the Bojack movie is screwed too since his animations are top tier still.

fun fact in budokai tenkaichi 3 ssj4 gogeta was actually banned in tournament play for being too good, also funnily enough one of the best characters for pro play was super trunks

For those not around when LR Kale and Caulifla released...my heart hurt FOR Truth on their EZA. He rode them so hard and fast when they came out for SO long afterwards it was literally a meme in and of itself. No joke. You couldn't find a more thristy boy. Then when the EZA dropped....I hurt for him.
But the unit was ridiculous it’s like giving bulma 4 attacks and 50% dodge while stacking they were so good people played them on 120% leader Skills over so many other units

you guys are just blindly following truths opinion. what makes them bad is not the eza themself, but all the content that gives them no time to build up. they can still get to above 700k def with 66% chance to dodge in like 4-5 turns, but ofc you don’t get those turns in hard events.

I really feel like its death by a thousand cuts at this point. Its not as though dokkan is doing a massive fumble but its just failing every celebration at something or multiple things. A failed eza,horrible banner unit or questionable design choice here and there wont ruin something entirely but consistently doint so over the course of an entire year i think people begin to feel it. All im saying is omatsu should get out of the kitchen cause that man is fumbling everything.
Eh I’d say what matters the most are the big celebrations and those have been pretty good we’ve have yet to see THE perfect celebration tho where there’s not a single thing wrong and everything is peak all the way through

I actually really like LR Omega. His animations are pretty cool and his kit except for this one stupid line is pretty good.
Honestly that makes me hate him even more, these beautiful animations should be on a unit that is actually fucking good, a TOP 10 contender which would help villains but instead it is stuck with this bum ass team called gt bosses, omega is good but gt bosses is so ass for a 2023 team its laughable, Omega being a good tank doesn’t work with that either cause when units are good tank it is to protect the hard hitters but gt bosses doesn’t have alot of hard hitters.. just sad man

Kale and Caulifla really were on a level of their own when they released. Probably the most value I ever got out of the 150 stones it took me to pull them on their debut banner. They were so fun on release! It was the first yellow coin banner I ever summoned on. I knew it was dumb but they were so good that I felt like I'd be missing out if I didn't pull! Zero regrets. Their time has passed but the fun will always be remembered! The Legendary Goku event was never the same again.
If Omega were 200% to GT Bosses as a leader skill, and had on his kit +2 ki and 40% atk & def to Extreme Types, I think he'd be perfect. GT Bosses would finally have a good leader that fills in the gap between Links by being a support - as well as comfortably filling the gaps for any extreme team in general. As the resident FINAL BOSS of the entire series for like 20 years, it's a role that is well deserving.
They didn't just not make him perfect. They cucked him. Idk wtf Dokkan devs are thinking sometimes. Omega could have made money, but instead he's a hard skip.

Like, cool they debuff but when every hard content except for sbr and sometimes battlefield this guy is useless. And i hate it so much because with support alone he could of carried that team. But nooooo he's too good they said, then restricted him to that stupid team.
the problem isnt with omega himself. If GT bosses was a stronger team (maybe a bit more like worldwide chaos) his restrictions wouldnt feel so bad IMO

Ive seen people say 2020 was the worst year of releases. After this year ends id love to see a bar for bar comparison of 2020 vs 2023!
2020 would still take it. Looking back, it was just a load of mid, even the 5th anniversary, and WWC wasn't all that. This year has a lot of good stuff. Just many of the units have really annoying restrictions in their kits.

@@thegungerbrospodcast7671 2020 did have some bad units like STR Kefla, AGL Bardock, Teq Exchange piece of trash buu, but in that year there wasn't that much difficult content aside of ESBR and SBR then LGE, it was mostly lacking in that year even if i joined the game in that anni.
Since even when pulling TEQ LR SSJ2 Gohan there wasn't any place to use him to crush enemies, so these units not being that crazy felt kind of inconsequential aside of some exceptions when the God of destruction event appeared.
However since the amount of difficult content has exploded since the 7 year anniversary, units being bad on release it's an crime since he still have not recovered yet from that massive jump, so it matters more in this year than animations, and even those have been lacking in some of the main units.

Well the list was major releases. Who gives af about those wt units tbh. Only like what, a handful have been good? Like teq ssj2 gohan is good, piccolo is very good, tien and chaiotzu are good, but most of them either are mid or suck ass.
Truth truly loves his Dokkan Battle, it's actually really wholesome how much he loves the game.

Well Goku Black will probably get another good card during a major celebration probably, and LR Black kinda just made up for him. Dr. Wheelo will never see the light of day again. They literally just locked the door on him until they have to EZA him.
This is a very solid list lol. I'd take out TUR PHY SSJ Vegeta out for TUR INT Goku Black and stick him much higher on the list, but I much pretty agree with everything else. Not the best year for Dokkan sadly.

I pulled for the STR Super 17 just because I liked the character but he is definitely not that guy when it comes to tougher content.
And as for the Teq Ultimate Gohan I have to say I disagree with Truth here. I have a STRONG feeling they will sneak in a hidden nerf into his EZA. Because just a stat increase WOULD make him busted again simply because he greatly stacks so any additional stats are gonna make him insane. I bet they'll add additional lines of text that normalize his abilities or give him situational guard or something. They'll pull a STR Vegito Blue, the F2P where they just totally eff up his kit on the EZA.
I don't have a disliked 2023 unit imo, I do however have a most disliked 2022 Unit and it's LR AGL SSJ Goku and Vegeta... and for good reason, if not 2 of which as a matter of fact, for starters, the costume change Morale Boost condition, like seriously... 7 enemy attacks? 3 Super attacks? It's a damn miracle that it's not turn restriction because i'd hate it a lot more if it was especially if it's Turn 7! Aka the turn you can't reach no matter what! And to those saying, "Just put 'em in slot 1" and die to 300k per normal? They don't have 5 turn Guard! They only have 2 ways of getting Damage reduction! One unconditionally forever activated 20% and the other 20% for 3 turns from Their Appearance! And even that's not enough, and what's worse? Their transformation ain't that special anyway! Their Kit post Morale Boost literally is the same kit except that the difference is that they get Guarantee crit when Ki is 24 or after using their Active Skill! And their damage reduction is 30% unconditionally instead of 40% or 20% depending on how fast you get their Morale Boost to come out! The second reason is The SA Effects, It's one thing that if you're raising both ATK and DEF for 1 turn instead of ATK for 1 turn, that's fine! But on this unit with 200k DEF turn 1 with no build up or nothing, it doesn't matter! And mind you, All of their SA Effects are all 30% raises for 1 Turn plus an additional 50% ATK & DEF from their passive whether they boost or not, and that's it! You'd think it would be enough, but it's not! If they had Stacking DEF on 18 ki, they'd be better at base at least.
Crazy how goated gt bosses would be if they just made their THREE past banner units in a year good
Lr k&c was utterly busted at the time and seeing them as one of the top 10 most disliked units is something else

Gotenks and Piccolo deserve to be on this list infinitely more than Super Buu does in my opinion, they're much worse than even the Shenron Duo who are absolutely awful.
Just like Black Goku, definitely the most unfortunate release I can think of in a long time. Maybe ever if we're talking about anticipated EZAs.

I think Omega could be a good unit if the worldwide celebration is like ONLY GT Bosses. Some super EZA's, at least two banner units, some regular ezas and suddenly he's top 20 in the game!

They ruined the game in my opinion when they made the categories, because they kept making new ones and never properly developed existing ones. It could have been better than the type system, but they just completely flubbed it because they didn't put any planning into it.
Switch omega passive to a flat 35% damage reduction and change the gt bosses restriction to 10% chance to additional super per gt bosses on the team and we be cooking but they can’t help them but to drop trash

Me personally I play dokkan for all the cool and beautiful animations of the units, how good they are comes next. But I will always follow Mr. Datruths advices because he is never wrong when it comes how good or bad the units are on the performance in hard content, animation wise it comes down what's cool and beautiful to you and the opinion should be respected but if Datruth says the unit is bad it means it's bad PERIOD.
It's crazy but yeah we are halfway through October on Sunday and yeah shit is right we have got 14 good units out of what 30 units released including banner units this year?
