Super basic but when you’re in a slump, these techniques get the juices flowing again. When I first started, dotted rhythms were my jam. Thank you for reminding me of them!
I really love how articulate you are. I don’t even make this type of music, but I watch your videos just to hear the terminology you use. Very knowledgeable
I love it! Experimenting with chords and bass and also listening to bass in other music and copying to see how it works is my favourite thing to do in my DAW right now!
Another tip to add flavor to your bassline is if you have a bass that repeats 1 note for a while, try making some of the notes move up or down an octave
Love you videos Alex. I got my new mc mini with m1 chip. Couod you make a video including FREE good useful available au plugins for logic x? Cant use my vst plugins anymore cause it is all 64 bit. Thanks and greets from Austria
Not gonna lie, this is some pretty advanced stuff. Sounds basic, and technically is. But this stuff wil always work. Thanks For pointing it out and making it digestible

I don't know why but when starting the video it looked like you were wearing a jumper with animal ears but the animal ears were missing but instead were headphones. I suppose for us all, those are our 'animal' ears. Well, with that said, time to dive into da vid.

I heard a good tip for basslines is to use 80% chord notes and 20% not chord notes (but still keep it in the scale)
That’s a great tip I use all the time.

Thanks for the great lessons, the bootcamp link in the description is not working (although the link through your site does) 👍
I wonder how much this bootcamp would do for me using Cakewalk 5.0 in Windows 98 with a Roland SC-55... Probably a surprisingly large chunk!
Is it a good bonus if there is a Korg Trinity too?
cheers mate on microfreak, presets and video, how did you transfered on 1.56 min an x bar to dotted ? was that in ableton or cubase? thx
Does anyone else do that in winter, put your hood up and comfy headphones on top? I have to remove it to check sound timbres but it feels good.
What's the last chord (song) you are working on sounds sick. How did you make the sound
Hey a similar sound is in the daydream pack in the description. That song is an unreleased song currently that I use mainly for TH-cam videos.
I copied the notes from his screen to make it
Can you teach me best way to formant shift my logic pro formant shift sounds kinda crap
