nice video! I own a stock and barrel classic bifold, I've had it for about 9-10 months now. What I realize with the edge paint that they use, is that it starts to crack on the sides. It doesn't affect the functionality, but it looks a bit ugly on the side after a bit. Otherwise, the leather and the wallet aged beautifully. when I got it, it was the natural veg tan, now it looks like the Filson wallet with the cognac color with a bit of indigo from the denim

Thanks for the comment! Yes I'm not a huge fan of the edge paint/coating they use. Seems like caulk. I already moved on to a different wallet (uploading the video today actually) but for the price I'd still say it's worth a buy.

Hey there! I have the darker brown version of this and it's my first full gran/veg tan leather product. I was wondering how to clean/"shine" it? Are there any good guides? I have a brush and the polish

Just received my Stock & Barel Redford Western wallet and it's obvious they have become a vivtim of their succes and now produce and ship shoddily manufacured wallets (certainly the one they sent to me).
I have contacted them about my complaints and never heard back from them!
Sewing machine marks from having the machine pressing too hard on the leather when stitching. It’s the same on the other side as well.
Poor fit on the outside piece of leather which once folded stretches the leather, which in turn shows the poor dye quality; as the dye really didn’t penetrate well enough into the leather and when folded shows that.
Slip-shod dye quality as the inside was not even completely dyed before assembly and shipping.
Now I guess I could could understand all these defects, “if, I had bought one of the seconds you offer”, but to send this wallet out as first quality and charge as such I find to be very poor business! On top of it, I had to pay 20€ in French customs VAT tax on an imported product, (though that’s not your fault, just rubs salt into the wound!).
I bought this wallet as a gift for my son’s birthday and sad to say, I’m embarrassed to offer it to him. When I showed the wallet to my wife and her dad, who are both French, (I’m American) they just laughed at me and said, “you should have bought a wallet here in France as we have excellent quality leather products”.
Great advertising for US made products, eh!
Like I said in an earlier e-mail sent to the contact address, all the fun videos and “happy talk” you have on your site go down the drain, when you see what they really are: “just happy talk and false promises”!
    Signed “A very disappointed customer!”

I had an issue with stitching going off the side of the wallet and wasn't connected completely so I emailed them. They got back to me a couple days later offering some money back since there was a blemish or they would send a replacement. You're gonna get the sewing machine marks on the leather which happens when you use a sewing machine vs hand stitch but it keeps the product cheaper for us rather than like double the price. I can see the marks even in the videos stock & barrel do themselves. As far as the dye I'm not sure. Could be because its brand new but either way that does suck you got a wallet you're not happy with. Besides the stitching issue mine is great. I oiled it up and it darkened up some from the natural and it looks great. Can hardly see the machine marks anymore even after only a week. Not sure what email you used but they should get back to you within a couple days. support@stockandbarrelco.com

      @@ksajak Hello,
They took a while to reply, however they finally reimbursed me for the cost of the wallet, so no further complaints from me. Glad it worked out for you!
My major complaint is that the photos on their site had nothing to do with what they were sending out as first quality product. Poor staining on leather and stitching too tight making wallet fold poor.
Like I said, they refunded my money so that was a plus for them.

@@fredrickwerstein546 mine was a gift and for some reason they decided to buy one of the blemished wallets for me come to find out. I had no idea. I didn't even know they sold blemished wallets. So I apologised and let them know I wouldn't have asked for it as a gift if I had known that's what they were going to do. We were in the talks of working something out and they just stopped replying to me. I had planned to buy the smaller card wallets for my wedding coming up as gifts for my groomsmen because I thought it would be a great idea. I let them know that I was thinking about doing such too, but after them just ghosting me like that I'm just going to take my business elsewhere. I don't want another blemished wallet and don't want to have to jump through hoops. It's just disrespectful and not good business. So be it! Such is life I suppose
