The city of San Jose is located in the South Bay Area of the great Bay Area, and is the largest city in Northern California by both population and land area with over 1 million residents. It is currently the third most populous city in California after San Diego and Los Angeles.
San Jose is known to be the center of Silicon Valley, home to numerous high-tech companies. Founded in 1777, it is also one of the oldest cities in the Western United States. The San Jose Municipal Rose Garden is a historic garden founded in 1927, winning multiples awards throughout the years as being "America's Best Rose Garden" in the country. Downtown San Jose is known for its bustling beer bars and cocktail haunts, as well as theaters showing Broadway shows. There's a mixture of casual and upscale restaurants, and for a quick bite, San Pedro Square Market is a popular choice. The Tech Museum of Innovation has hands-on displays, while the San Jose Museum of Art shows contemporary works.

Great and world class downtown core. The skyline is very nice and pretty. There's a lot to do downtown.

I do like the downtown area, very clean and walkable, but it does seem empty at times except for the San Pedro Square area. Hopefully the city will expand the vibrance of San Pedro Square throughout downtown.

@@ExplorationToGo Vibrant areas: San Pedro, Post street, SoFA and city hall area. 1st street corridor is jam packed on weekend nights. As far as the rest of downtown: until people get off their pajamas and head to work, it will feel dead; however, you notice, downtown has the whole package: office, hotel and residential towers with lots of public buildings. It's not like they need to build or add much to make it feel vibrant. The economy and people needing to head back to work would do wonders for downtown.

Lol, yeah, not much people that day. Everybody seem to flock towards San Pedro Square Market. Maybe it gets more crowded during the weekends.

Yes, people say it gets busier during the weekends. Most of the vibrance are at San Pedro Square Market and Santana Row. Thanks for the comment 😀
