This particular set got to experience something on its trip that it will likely never see in Florida - snow. It was spotted on the Virtual Railfan camera at Laramie, WY in the middle of a snowstorm.
TERRIFIC VIDEO! Thanks for the share. As a nearby resident, can HARDLY WAIT for my first BRIGHTLINE ride. Finally, high-speed rail, PRIVATELY FUNDED that makes good business sense, I'll ride it, more than a few times, just for the sheer pleasure of it, being a LONG TIME aficionado of passenger train operations. GO- Brightline!!
I don't remember how I found your channel, but I am *so glad* that TH-cam's algorithms guided me to you. What a fascinating view, seeing a new railroad come together from so many points of view - construction, equipment, facilities, the works. Thank you so much for sharing all of this, and for creating a relationship with Brightline that allows you to be part of events like this. Excellent job as always, I look forward to your new videos!
Exactly, this is going to be a fantastic system for this region, they really need this kind of infrastructure, it should eventually help reduce highway congestion. It's a shame it was not developed along with Disney, it could have really helped them as well.
As with the past year, I absolutely love the stream of content you’ve been providing for us Austin. I am sure brightline has a ticket reserved for you for the first revenue run of service!
History in the making. Hard to believe when looking at that shiny new train that it will go to the scrapper someday after years of service............ Thanks for the report.
Awesome video, 👍🏽 watching your video makes me more & more excited for Orlando line to be completed. I can't wait to take brightline from west palm to Orlando
This was gret to see, I didnt know the OUC tracks connect to the brightline tracks in 2 places. Sunrail could run the the airport now since the tracks connect to CSX I wonder where the OUC tracks connect to the Sundial/CSX line??
You can look it up on maps, the rail line runs west from the maintenance facility south of the airport until it meets the main line at a wye near Orange Avenue
Hope rail will help reduce the vehicle traffic between Tampa and Orlando, eventually, it's such a nightmare. That would be awesome, I-4 just is not built for that much traffic.
@8:35 .. as an european it's always strange to see a European style train making sounds like a USA train with horn and bell and even flashing lights I know . This is done because of law , but still ...
I really like your video. You explain well and in detail it's very interesting. It's great that train are delivered by rail. It seems logical, but I'm from France and it's true that we are doing well with passenger rail especially high-speed rail. But for fret we are really bad: alstom deliver tramways and often passenger trains by truck . It's dumb.
Sweet. You must be doing an excellent job documenting this project, to be invited to cover the delivery of the train. Now, a question. Is Brightline going to connect with Amtrak, either in Orlando or anywhere along the line?
Nice video. Been seeing the trainset pass various VR cams for the past several days. Was thinking it pass through Cocoa but, haha, they fooled me. lol Is that you standing by the post flying the drone? So cool you got special access again. Thanks for the update!
Question here did Brightline order a additional coach for each train set as well? And if they did why didn’t the new train set come with the extra 5 coach
Thanks! Your usual excellent videography and narration. Question: how much lead time did it take you to get permission to operate the drone in the Orlando Class Bravo?
I have a question, that is clearly KMCO in the background and you are well within Orlando's Class B airspace, did you have an FAA Part 107 Airspace Authorization for this operation?
@@RoamingRailfan Ok, I see that it was there about 2min after I stopped watching. Was curious because I was denied an Airspace Authorization for a similar operation in the KTPA Class B, and I was nowhere near any approach corridors like you are in this video. They wouldn't even grant me 50ft of altitude to do a building fly over for a client.
I like the The footage. However I am a little concerned that you were able to operate your drone in Orlando’s airspace. I hope you filed a LCAd request and are part 107 Certified
It's fun to see Americans excited about getting a passenger train.
Geez! Flying a drone while airplanes are taking off at OIA/MCO must be a challenge, but the presentation of the Brightline consist gets A+ from me!
I work at Siemens in Sacramento, it's great to see the trains after they leave the nest.

This is great thank u
Very cool to see! I hope in the next few years passenger rail begins to see a comeback in the United States.
Man drone view really just makes full size trains look like model trains.
Brightline concept and execution is amazing! If only I lived in Florida

These videos are so beautiful and it's awesome how he explains everything so even novices can get the facts. Top notch content, for sure!
Holy cow, there be trains. The new train smell. Very exciting. Thanks for the great views and information. 👍👍
Yahoo ! It's getting closer. Thanks for video. I feel like a kid at Christmas.
Great professional production. This is great historic footage and should be preserved. Thank you for documenting this milestone.

Waitin' in Tampa...
Nice work!
Thank you for this update! I subscribed!
I've been following your episodes of the brightline for some time and this is the best yet.
Thats awesome I live in Sacramento so I can see those!
I had to watch it again. 👍👍
Wonderfully captured, Austin.
Great work!!👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Thanks for the update
WOW simply amazing. Thank you for this view.
Thanks for another great video update, looking forward to seeing the next one. 🤩
Definitely catching a ride when its ready
Excellent video. I'm really enjoying the whole timeline! Would love to fly over just to ride on the train and then fly back to England!
The roaming railfan? More like the brightline railfan. Great video!
This is exciting.
Awesome

More than likely it will not
Very nice, you have put great in the picture again. How many more trains are coming? Greetings from Berlin/ Germany. Sven
3 left to be delivered

Is that you standing by the post flying the drone? So cool you got special access again. Thanks for the update!
No, that was another drone pilot that was filming for Brightline themselves (the drone video you see on the news)
Why is the box over the last locomotive blurred out?
I forgot to update the graphic before I uploaded the video so I blurred it so I didn’t confuse people.
This is some good video footage you have here, I thought that the train sets could be expanded to only 7 cars?.....now it's up to 10?
Everything has always been planned around 10 car trains, 7 was just a number they threw out in the early days of the project.
Ooh!
I assume you are height limited flying the drone so close to the airport?
Up to 50ft
I don’t see the yellow “squiggle” stripes on the locomotive noses. To be added later?
Yes
Question here did Brightline order a additional coach for each train set as well? And if they did why didn’t the new train set come with the extra 5 coach
Additional coaches will come in a future order
6:55 did you just so happened to leak some press release info? hence the muted track for that part?
No, just forgot to update an incorrect title before I uploaded the video so didn’t want to confuse people.
Thanks! Your usual excellent videography and narration. Question: how much lead time did it take you to get permission to operate the drone in the Orlando Class Bravo?
Maybe 5 minutes if you include the time it took to turn on my computer…
When is service suppose to be running in orlando?
Construction should be substantially complete by the end of 2022 with service beginning in early 2023
Do the passenger cars Brightline uses tilt?
no
What type of drone are you using that records sound?
It’s just a separate camera that I use to capture audio
@@RoamingRailfan Ahhh I see.

Yes
@@RoamingRailfan He also made a disclosure at the end of the video explaining all rules were followed. Very well done.

I had the appropriate air space clearance and I am part 107 certified.
