Another example how Brightline attention to details concerning passenger satisfaction, being able to always enjoy watching the scenery thru clean windows, etc, will help ensure their long term success!
This. So much this. A service like Brightline lives and dies by its reputation. And Brightline is making sure that they get a reputation for running a clean and efficient service.
I just love bright lines, I’m so happy they’re in Florida they make for the proud. I’m 79 years old and I can’t wait till they start running from Orlando to Miami. I want to be one of the first ones to ride that trip.
Its pretty cool to see this wash in action finally. I was actually one of the drivers bringing in all of the equipment to build the actual wash itself. Its nice to look at something that you had seen when you hauled it on your trailer to then see the video of it all in action.
Very cool! Makes sense that the engineer has to drive it through the car wash -- I don't think the little orange rollers are gonna cut it. :) The auto detailer in me winces at the scrubbing brushes, thinking about how they'll scuff up the clear coat and leave swirl marks over time. On the other hand, I don't think anyone's going to spend a whole week polishing it with a DA polisher, so it'll be fine.
Brightline needs to hire you and house you in California for the LA to Vegas development. You can be their official photographer /filmographer. I think you have done more to promote and hype this extension and additional building work than anyone and I think it has a good public perception because of your videos. Keep up the good work. If my gay ass was actually welcome in florida I'd come across the pond and check it out, but I'll wait for the west coast version
If you're referring to the testing vids it's dusty because that was brand new ballast at high speeds. Once it sees regular operation they won't be so dusty
I wish to thank you for the filming and Brightline to allowing you to make the filming of this wonderful new rail system. I wish them success in this venture and future ventures across this country.
Awesome video! This is also important for the Engineers operating the trains during "Love-Bug" season, which is twice a year. The SR528 corridor, especially near the St. John's River, can be so brutal during Love Bug season that after each daily commute I must wash my vehicle!
That is so cool. I saw the Twitter post from Brightline, but never thought that you were going to make a full video about the wash! Quick question, does the West Palm Beach facility have a wash too?
@@RoamingRailfan Thanks. I was watching this video quickly with no audio (I am at work). The reason I asked this question was because I thought one of the Brightline train windows I rode was a little bit dirty (nitpicking) and wondered how it was done currently. The mobile cleaning car explains that, as the full train wash will do a better job.
Same with our national train operator here in Denmark, DSB, always foggy and dirty windows, graffiti, dirt, and so on, cleanness is very important for peoples perception of the train service, just like Brightlines toilets, incredible toilets means incredible service.
How much extra for the Super Poly Process Hot Wax and getting the floor mats vacuumed?😇 (doing a segment on the interior cleanup at the end of the day could be interesting)
I think they do cleanup every time the train shows up at Miami Central. Whenever my trains arrives there, I always see crews cleaning an empty train on another platform. The end of the day cleaning is probably similar to that. I am not sure if they do it West Palm Beach, but they may do some similar cleaning.
They may have reduced the exact amount used due to the large number of tests being conducted that day. They seemed to be mostly focused on timing and water pressure while I was there.
Why not move slower and have the front brushes move with the train? The sides and top brushes would always be stationary and clean the middles cars while it moves, and then the moving brushes clean the rear cab still while moving?
Probably because of something were to malfunction or the train moved too fast, it would completely destroy those brushes, the gantry, and anything else nearby.
My first concern with a setup like this is rust. More water would get into the under-body of the trail compared to manual washing methods which I assume there could be a problem? Maybe Brightline under-bodies are rust resistant?
A train could technically pass through in either direction but it will only work for trains passing through in the single direction toward the maintenance facility.

It's nice to see that your quality work has been acknowledged and they welcomed you in instead of turning you away.

So now BrightGreen 2 is BrightClean, Too?
With how dusty the trains are on the high speed line, it is good to know they have a good working train wash!
If you're referring to the testing vids it's dusty because that was brand new ballast at high speeds. Once it sees regular operation they won't be so dusty
Great video, but I can't help myself. Can they get the optional "hot wax and wheel conditioner"?
I wish to thank you for the filming and Brightline to allowing you to make the filming of this wonderful new rail system. I wish them success in this venture and future ventures across this country.
I enjoy these behind the scenes videos, and the little ones are always fascinated to see how it all works.
That train wash is so cool!
A very cool piece of machinery that is washing trains like that. Love seeing what technology can do nowadays.

I just noticed the impressive number of cables and hoses connecting the trainset together. Cool video!
OUTSTANDING. ! Wicked Kool. Well Done. 🇺🇸
Last week I was in Florida and it was exciting to see the rails depicted in these videos, cannot wait to try Brightline in person.
Great video as usual! Loved the joke at the end about the cleanest train on Earth 🌎 😂
Great video, thanks for showing this behind-the-scenes train action!
That was so cool! Nothing like the look of a sparkling new train! And knowing that Brightline is taking very good care of it's fleet! Thanks for ride!
Man u have the best all access video’s in all railfan channels 👍🏾
Must use a heck of a lot of tokens!
That is so cool. I saw the Twitter post from Brightline, but never thought that you were going to make a full video about the wash!
Quick question, does the West Palm Beach facility have a wash too?
I actually explain that at 10:44

Brightline spared no expense. Thanks.
Such a different and cool video!
Very cool video! 😮
I love to see a squeaky clean boi
thanks for the cool video.
If there was one thing I despise about Amtrak is dirty windows when I’m trying to look or take a photo. I hope all the success to Brightline.

Green is my favorite color - green and clean too
at those speeds there will be a lot of dead bugs on the locomotive
Especially zipping through Central Florida, as my windshield can attest to.
interesting that they use a standard roadway traffic signal
That was so cool!
Thanks for another great video.
Brightline trains will be far cleaner than ANYTHING run by Amtrak! I wish I lived in FL so I could ride them.
Fascinating, thanks. 👍👍
Cześć kolego super filmik 🖐️🖐️🖐️ pozdrawiam
Interesting. After the testing, that must be one very clean train! Did they vacuum it and clean the inside each time they sent it through the wash 😉😂

The REAL test comes in a few months when the love bugs are here .🤣
So essentially, they get a free wash each time they fill up for gas? All I ever get is $1 off.
I’ve built many train washes. Who provided the equipment?
Whiting Systems
What no hot wax?
Wonder what the wash schedule will be? Once a trip, day, or week?
It’ll be a daily wash
@@RoamingRailfan Kinda thought that would be the case.
I didn't see any soap being applied and perhaps that's why the unit is able to recycle 74% of the water used?

Couldn't they use it to wash your drone during the fly-though? After all you've done for them...
I don't think my drone would like that, it prefers a dry cleaning...
My first concern with a setup like this is rust. More water would get into the under-body of the trail compared to manual washing methods which I assume there could be a problem? Maybe Brightline under-bodies are rust resistant?
The coaches are made of stainless steel so rust is not an issue.
You realize that train wash systems are not a novel concept and have been used around the globe for years? It even works with electric trains.
Can a train 🚉 enter into either direction?
A train could technically pass through in either direction but it will only work for trains passing through in the single direction toward the maintenance facility.
Are passengers on the train 🚉, done at the end of the day?😢😮😮
No passengers will be on board any trains passing through it
Another bright line update
Flying through the building disconnected from satellites had to be a bit nerve racking.
Surprisingly it stayed connected to the satellites the whole time.
The real test will be during lovebug season.😮😂
As funny as that is, this is true.
What game is this? Can't find it on steam.
This isn’t a game, this is real life…
@@RoamingRailfan it has good graphics man lol... I seriously thought it was a game bro.
