Madison is not telling Peter what to do with his body. She's making a choice for herself. On the other hand, Luke was saying that it was WRONG for Hannah to sleep with someone else - morally. It's not the same; however, I think Madison should have told Peter she was a virgin sooner if she expects him not to be intimate with anyone else. It's public knowledge that Peter is NOT waiting for marriage.
Agree 100%. I didn’t have an issue with Luke not wanting hannah to sleep with the other guys. No one WANTS that. Luke took everything so much further than that though. It was a problem with HANNAH to him.

Perhaps when she first started she figured fine this is how it works, I have to deal with what he’s doing because there was no investment, for all she knew she wouldn’t even like him and it would just end up being an exciting experience she had.. then it got real, and she actually fell in love and he’s claiming to have fallen in love with her. Bachelor or not bachelor, just as you stated, If he is in love with her why sleep with other women? Can you tell me so much is going to change in a week? I remember when I SO BADLY wanted Peter to end up with Hannah B BUT after seeing Peter’s poor judgement and savior complex, it’s clear to me that him and Hannah don’t belong together. Hannah has a backbone and stands up for herself. Peter wants someone who depends on him and he wants to fix someone.

I feel like she accepts the fact that he HAS had sex (because we can't really change the past) but would prefer if he didn't continue to do so with other women since he's saying that he loves her. @@oceansxstars you're definitely right. Her understanding and expectation is that a man who truly loves a woman would wait and it is true from my experience. And it surely makes sense to not tell a man you're virgin (let alone on television show) if you really want him to love you for you. Many would either just want the taste of a freshly baked cookie or some men can afraid that the virgin gets too attached if they plan to use exhibit B. Many also think that a virgin would not stay because she may want to taste different meals before they finally decide who to marry. I think Madison did nothing wrong, Peter on the other hand is a dog surrounded by female dogs...it is what it is.
Here’s why it’s not a double standard:
Luke P shamed Hannah for doing what she had done.
Madison (from what we’ve seen) is saying that if he does have intimacy with the other girls, she would remove herself from the relationship.
Madison has a standard for herself, and her partner, and that’s good. I think Luke P had standards too but he wanted to change Hannah when he saw that those standards didn’t align with hers. Madison on the other hand is removing herself from the situation instead of judging Peter for it.
I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that.

I like Kristina and after her 1st paradise season she became more outgoing and didn’t hold her tongue so idk what happened here. Is she uncomfortable around Ashley? Her body language is so telling but I don’t get what it is
I think the difference between Luke and Madison is that Madison hasn't seemed to come at any of her faith perspective in a judgmental , self-rightesous way that Luke did. I'm a Christian with a similar perspecitive and Luke turned me off. About Madison expeting him not to have sex with the other girls, that's not necessarily a faith thing. I've heard that other bachelor and bachelorettes have gotten in trouble for sleeping with others in the final 3. Who in the world would want their fiance to sleep with someone else a week before he asks them to marry them??? If Madison's faith is her whole life, I don't think she and Peter will stay together long. When all the traveling and fun experiences fade I think she will see that, although he's a great guy with good character and values, they really aren't on the same page and view the same things as important in life.

Yes, more than one lead has stated that it’s best to refrain from having sex with anyone except their first choice to eliminate another source of stress in a new relationship. It’s going to be hard enough for the couple to watch back the season without more complications.

Question...why should Peter assume their going to have sex before marriage, and why does Madison have to announce she’s waiting for marriage? Do the other woman have to announce they’re not waiting?

Also because people generally have sex in the fantasy suites, and so if they do not, it's something they will bring up.
I don't think Peter assumes they will have sex before marriage. However based on the what we know about Peter with Hannah B, we do know that sex is important to him and that he is not waiting until marriage.
And she doesn't have to announce she is waiting for marriage, however if you are getting engaged or getting married to someone, that is something that needs to be brought up. Sex is an important aspect to all relationships, but especially if you are going to 'spend the rest of your lives together'.
Her waiting until marriage is based on her faith, and while we have seen that they spoke about her faith briefly, he may not know to what extent her religion and faith dictates her decisions. So her being so connected to her faith, could be a deal breaker for him (or any guy she may date in the future)
And other women don't have to announce they are not waiting, but majority of people don't wait until marriage. And if you are getting engaged to someone, I'm sure the topic of sex and past sexual experiences has been brought up.
In the end nobody HAS to disclose they are waiting or not waiting, but if you are so in love with someone and want to be engaged to someone. Don't you owe them honesty (on both ends) regarding such an important aspect of romantic relationships?

So Madison wants to make it clear where she stands and also it sounds like she is giving him an ultimatum which for me I’d be like hell nah like Hannah was but we shall see what Peter says! Here's a question that every bachelor/bachelorette contestant should be asking if they make it to the final three: If you are professing your love to me, and I will be the last one standing, why would you sleep with someone else a week before you propose to me? Just because you can? This is exactly what Luke P, and now Madison are questioning. It is not just about the decision to wait based on religious beliefs. It is also about expecting someone who loves you to forsake all others when it is this close to a proposal.

What’s wrong with not wanting the person your suppose to be falling in love with to not be having sex with other women. It’s out of respect for her and you don’t need to go there to figure out who’s the one. If it was the other way around and one of the three ladies slept with someone while trying to win his heart people would think they really didn’t care about him. This is a tv show but it’s also real life and if your care about someone you don’t want them sleeping with other people and that’s just how it is or you don’t really care.

It’s crazy how past seasons the lead purposely does not say I love you and wouldn’t sleep with the girls during their fantasy suite date unless they’re 💯 confident who they’re picking just because whoever he picks at the end has to rewatch the show and know they slept with other girls right before proposing or said I love you to multiple people (ie how Ben said he loved Lauren and Jojo it was hard for their relationship) but the past few seasons the rules have gone out the window and they said they love them sooner and no rules about the fantasy suite. With Madison I think during her 2nd one on one date when she spoke about religion she should have brought it up. Peter thinks they’re on the same page but she’s withholding this info. Peter is known for having sex multiple times on Hannah’s season, maybe someone whose experienced isn’t the right fit for Madison she should date someone with more similar religious views and is saving themselves for marriage too.

I think the crazy fun and romantic dates the show puts on make it hard to see that Peter's not even really that great. He likes drama and has weird standards.

She is not telling him what to do with his body. Based on the clip we saw, she is saying that if he chooses to do that she doesn't know if she can get over that and move forward. The choice is still his, but she knows herself and knows that she won't be able to forgive him or be with him if he has sex with someone else. How can you claim to love a woman and then have sex with someone else? It would be a clear indication to her that he doesn't truly love her. Sex is not casual. Sex is a big deal... it bonds two people together.
As far as Luke P. goes, it was the way he went about that conversation that left a bad taste in everybody's mouths. It was also the culmination of lots of gas lighting and emotional manipulation. So it's not even remotely the same thing.

Kelsey was TOO emotional and crying all the time and I guess he felt it is just not right for him or maybe he did not see a fit with her family. He knows who he has more of a connection with who he can see to be with long term because that is all what this is about. To me the other girls might be too young because people are not getting married that young now a days a lot of times so are they really ready for marriage? The good thing is Kelsey and Victoria are older and closer to his age. I know he said is Hannah ready for marriage for her age but I did not know that Madison was the same age. They are not that young to me but it seems more so now a days people are getting married in their mid to late twenties and early thirties. And if Madison wants to stay engaged for years and years and years and is a virgin and says Peter cannot have sexx how is that going to work?! It’s possible that all of Victoria’s manipulation has worked on Peter and he has some sort of trauma bond with her. She demonstrates a lot of narcissistic personality traits. These types of people are extremely good at abuse tactics that people rarely see until it is too late. Her gaslighting of him has clearly worked on more than one occasion and that is just the parts we see! Think of all the time they had together we didn’t see. Basically, she’s dangerous for his mental health and is abusive.

Honestly, his whole relationship with Victoria F. is a mini case study/social experiment in just how much a person can get away with when they are absolutely stunning.Victoria is most definitely a person with questionable ethics and morals and comes across as very manipulative and downright abusive, and yet, you look at her and it's hard to imagine ill intent because she is incredibly beautiful. I am sure it's confounding to interact with her. I can see why she has the ability to mess with so many men and I think that in her mind, she doesn't believe she did anything wrong. I think that truth be told, if you got a bunch of men in a room and asked them for their honest opinion, it would be much easier for them to overlook the horrible personality traits and character flaws that Victoria F. possesses.

I respectfully disagree. I think you can be a Christian, and virgin while on the show. However be aware as I wish Maddison was. It’s really difficult for me to understand her not knowing Peter’s past relationship on the Bachelorette Hannah B made famous for and saying that if he slept with anyone she couldn’t see continuing.
Realistically nowadays most people don’t wait till marriage for sex. I commend her. As I too, am waiting till marriage. My choice. However I am aware that most men aren’t virgins. I’m not demanding one. I would expect faithfulness though.
****SPOILER ALERT**** He said "I love you" to Madison, THREE times on the hometown date, and told her he's falling in love with her, the date before that and who knows how many times on the fantasy suite date. And supposedly she doesn't hear it from Peter. She hears it from one or both of the other girls because they all share a hotel room during fantasy suites.. which is weird. But yeah, let's all make it a thing about her being irrational mainly because she's Christian.. PSH.

Can't deny the connection Peter had with Hannah B, and doesn't come close to any of the connections between the final 3. He got a shitty line up for his season but we will all see how the end plays out. But I can hope 🤪

I really like Ashley her opinions are on point. Christina needs to do a better job articulating her opinions. Didn't like her response to Peter's ex warning him about Victoria F. What does it matter they dated 8yrs ago. Anyway, glad Peter was warned by someone who knows Victoria F. She seems like a country music band groupie to me. She acts like a whiny child and it's not cute or endearing.
Telling someone that if they sleep with someone else it is a deal breaker is NOT telling someone else what to do with their body at all. It is letting that person know your boundaries. Saying outright, “if you sleep with anyone else, I would leave” is completely ok and right for someone to do. She states a boundary and then states what SHE would do if that boundary was crossed. Luke P told Hannah if she sleeps with someone else, he’s out (ok,totally fine) but then shamed her and basically told Hannah she was going to hell for having sex and wanted to pray over her. He was telling her what was ok for her to do and what wasn’t. Also, Luke P clearly has a lot of issues he needs to work on and a couple of those being control and manipulation. Sadly, he did not seem to learn and grow from his experience. C'est la vie.
Victoria is very manipulative. She strikes me as someone who might have NPD. I do not see her as attractive as everyone else seems to think. Her personality definitely makes her unattractive.
Totally agree! Everyone keeps saying she is stunning and beautiful! I can get where people say she is pretty; but she’s NOT stunning. Her eyes are weird to me. Also , regarding Kelsey I think he sent her home as a kindness, I honestly do. He KNOWS it’s not going to be her and didn’t want to string her along. He can easily let go of Victoria F without feeling too much guilt.

We haven’t seen how the conversation will play out yet, but I feel like Madison’s “ultimatum” is more about her own desires, self worth and their relationship, whereas with Luke P., it was about that but also judging Hannah for how she chooses to live her life. Like I said, we’ll see what Madison will actually say, but I don’t think she’s judging Peter, rather looking out for herself and her own relationship.

FilmLover918 because Luke tried to shame her after the fact by saying something along the line of her making bad decisions and that she wouldn’t be good enough for him if she did so he would remove himself, even though he didn’t. With Madison (if she’s telling him this in the hangar or before fantasy suites) she is putting her values out there ahead of time and giving him the choice. If he does not agree with her values he can choose someone else or just send her home before fantasy suites. The timing is still questionable and I can see how one could argue that it’s a manipulative ultimatum but it seems like she probably wanted to protect her privacy and now that she is getting to an engagement she is telling him what her deal-breakers are. Part of me would say that she knew what she was signing up for with him and the windmill story and possibly shouldn’t have even signed up but maybe she thinks that if he’s actually considering marrying her then he needs to know what her deal-breakers are before it goes any further. Questionable motivations and timing but still not shaming or condemning like Luke was.
Leave Victoria. She can't even face up to accusations. She completely deflected the issue. I think she has problems she is not willing to admit, and is hiding something. Madison has every right to stick to her convictions. Even tho she can't rule Peter, she can let him know what she would expect in a man..

If Luke had been respectful about his feelings about sex it would have been understandable too. He was trying to shame her about her faith and morality. Madison saying “you having sex doesn’t bother me as a person, as a partner I don’t feel comfortable”. If Luke had said that we would have felt differently.

Can someone PLEASE explain to me how it not okay for Madisson to say that if Peter sleeps with someone else it will be hard for her to continue. How is it different when Hannah Ann's dad asks Peter not to tell his daughter that he loves her or whatever in order to protect her if she is not "the one". Equally, I think, Madisson is trying to protect herself if she is the one. I mean sleeping with someone, and telling someone that you love them are both intimate expressions. Peter can, in the same way, decide that having sex before marrying someone is too important for him to not do, and as a result send her home. Or is there something that I am not getting here?
My feeling is he picks Hannah Sue, they get engaged, it lasts about six months, then the breakup. I don’t think Peter is ready for marriage at his age.

I don't understand why it's bad to give people ultimatums... espiecially when you are just dating. You haven't made any commitments to anyone to love them regardless of whatever they do. You are trying to figure out who is your best partner for life. Obviously everyone has different deal breakers, morals and standards... that's exactly how you find out who is right for you! Every time you date anyone there are ultimatums/dealbreakers that could potentially end the relationship at any moment.

The producers made all of this drama. The champagne gate was completely staged. Victoria freaking out on Peter when he brought up what his ex girlfriend had said. It was right before he was supposed to meet her family. She was so happy but the Producers told Peter to bring it up then. Of course she was upset by that. Everyone would be.

so this is my guess. Victoria sleeps with Peter, maddison gets upset and leaves Peter follows her and begs her to come back and she says no. so he heads back and decides to pick hannah and she denies the proposal because she doesn't feel like first pick but they work on the relationship outside of the atmosphere.

My guess is that Madison leaves after he tells her he's been intimate with someone else, then, when he tells his Mom, (who met her on their first date, and really likes her), she tells him to go after her, because she saw something special between them on that date, and she knows that Peter is in love with Madison, and that she's worth fighting for! I also believe Peter is going to have to convince Madison that he's sorry, and that he's really, sincerely in love with her, and then she'll forgive him, and now they're dating, (without having sex, because Peter actually does love her, and respect her enough to do so), with the intention of getting married!

So yeah of course they can still end up happily together, but if Madison was this concerned about finding someone with the same morals and values as her I don't think Peter's season was a good choice for her- and def not fair to give him an ultimatum when she waited so long to tell him she was saving herself.

Unpopular opinion: Luke P and Madison actually did say the same thing. Luke’s past with drama, his holier than thou attitude made it seem like his way to try and control Hannah. And him coming back and being clueless as to why Hannah asked him to leave really sold it home. Not good people can’t be making requests like that 😂
Madison didn’t really have drama so we saw her request as level headed and valid. Imagine if Victoria F said “She would have trouble moving forward if he slept with anyone else.” We wouldn’t have the same reaction.
