I don't think Cassie is into Colton and the dad probably saw that. I'm pretty sure him going to Portugal was a plan to rescue Cassie and take the fall for her leaving. I think when Cassie was defending her character two episodes ago, she meant she was ready for marriage not to be married to Colton. She was never sure about Colton. I think she was really confused and was honest about it the whole time. She never said she loved him or that he was the one, which would be so easy to do.
Tanner and Jade as parents is really what I watched during this interview. So many sweet moments of them with their daughter. The way that Tanner reaches down to acknowledge his daughter and rub her head and back and look right at her...what a priceless subtext to the conversation about taking advice from parents...little girls growing up with daddy’s love...so precious!
Ashley, Jared, Tanner and Jade should always make the recaps. Cassie went to the bachelor for fame and when she's starting to notice that Colton would pick her she freak out. She didn't look sad on the break up she smile to the camera and when Colton was shaking she smile to. She makes a lot of excuses and Colton said the right thing and she still wanna go. If they get back together i don't think it will last. Caelynn wanting to be the bachelorette but we all see her true colors thank god they are not picking her.
I really thought Cassie was trying to recreate a Becca-like situation (think about the long drawn out drama), but with a different spin on it. I really do think she is not in love with Colton and didn't seem upset at all with the breakup. Come on!!! At one point, when she was breaking his heart and they were hugging, she smiled right at the camera with a smirk on her face. She wanted to be Bachelorette, I'm sorry; I agree. Colton was not pressing for an engagement at all so what would be the issue? LOL I hope he can find the love he deserves.
There is nothing similar about it. Becca was the one broken-hearted so people were rooting for her. Here, Colton is the broken hearted one. If she wanted to be the bachelorette she wouldn’t have broken his heart like that. Each time Colton told her he wanted a future with her she felt more pressured. He offered to give her more time but made it clear where he wanted this to go. This, combined with her dad’s input, made her so confused that if she had stayed it would have been really ugly. She did the only thing she could do to escape the pressure.

I'm talking simply about the production of it--it was an intense, long, almost drawn out 20 minutes of someone getting their heart broken. And Colton made it clear if she stayed, he would adjust his expectations. I think she wanted to be perceived as doing "the selfless, right thing." Personally, I'm not exactly torn up about any of these girls leaving. I have rbeen rooting for Hannah G, the whole time and poor thing didn't even get a date! LOL
See I heard something different from her dad he was talking about an ENGAGEMENT not simply a relationship, he is under the impression if she gets to the end she will be engaged and what he is saying is you have to have no doubts about getting engaged because it’s not a next step in a relationship in itself an engagement is an intention to get married and you shouldn’t have doubts when entering into a marriage, so I one hundred percent agreed with all he said. And he was right, the rest especially when Colton said ok we don’t have to get engaged let’s just see where this goes, that’s what her dad wanted, but she didn’t want that, she just wasn’t into him.
As much as I’m pulling for Colton... I also feel really bad for Taisha and Hannah G! Last night’s episode had to have been excruciating! Especially that part about when he’s on other dates he’s always thinking about her!

Don’t think age has to do with it. Yes, more women who are younger might not be ready for marriage, but it doesnt mean every every 22/23 year old isn’t ready. My sister was married at 22. And I know many girls married between 21-23.

100% I keep comparing this situation with Desiree and Brooks! She also dumped Drew immediately after Brooks left, similar to Colton dumping the other girls. At least she accepted that he really wasn’t changing his mind and let him leave.
I agree with Jade, I think people are putting too much weight into what katie said and that situation that its influencing how their seeing things. I relate a lot to cassie here, I don't think she is just there to be a bachellorrette. If anyone was it was caelynn, and Cassie is being dragged down with her. She never directly said to him she was ready for marriage, she said she was here for him. That is not the wrong reason. Cassie wanted him to pick the other girls, and wanted to be harsh and assertive of her feelings with him, because if she isn't even if she stays she will continue to feel that scatteredness. She needed to leave no matter what since she started that.
Cassie is an adult. Regardless of how young she comes across, she is an adult. Her dad should have let her make her own adult decision and let her make her own mistakes to learn from. He seemed extremely controlling to me and it scared me a little.
She did make her own decision, though it was a decision clouded by her expectations to have a "perfect relationship" just like her parents. No relationship is perfect and you don't always know from day one that someone is your soul mate or an epic love. But ultimately she did make her own decision and If I'm being honest I was quite happy to see her leave; she has allot of growing up to do before she should get married. Aside from that I feel really bad for Hannah and Tayshia as they deserve far better. I'm kind of hoping Colton ends the season alone as his choices are proving that he too isn't ready for marriage.
I so disagree that she was “trying” to become The Bachelorette. Now, with Caelynn, it was obvious. Very obvious. I think Cassie is a genuine girl. I believe she truly was young and confused, had this image in her head that she wanted the love her parents always talked about, and was worried it wasn’t that with Colton. She felt she was staying true to herself and her family by leaving. I think she genuinely likes Colton and I do think she’ll come back to him. Colton would be an amazing husband- so faithful and dedicated to his wife and children- plus taking care of all his CF babies. Cassie knows that. I hope they last!!!
Here is my theory. Cassie went onto the show, not looking for love but to promote herself. Keep in mind she is an ACTRESS, and has been in tv shows. When her and Colton broke up, she seemed super insensitive and honestly like she never cared for him. She didn’t expect to make it this far, and it was made super clear when Colton even offered to wait and she wouldn’t take it.
Nice insider insights. Keep up the commentary. Even if Colton "wins" Cassie's heart, I think they are doomed. He had a lot of great women who were into him, that he kicked to the curb, starting with Tia in paradise. In fact the pattern appears to be that if a woman really likes Colton, Colton doesn't like her. He likes the chase.
I think Hannah B being the next bachelorette will be good TV. Homegirl is unpredictable and I don't think she's ready for marriage either. She'll be the female version of Colton.
The common theme with Bachelorettes is that they are normally intelligent, interesting, articulate women. Hannah B is surely genuine but that's about it. This might be my first season not watching the Bachelorette if she is chosen.
Maybe I'm being naive but I saw the chemistry between cassie and colton... I think yes cassie is young, but i can totally relate to overthinking and holding your family's opinion in higher regard than your own. It was almost like: well my dad says I'm not in love with you so, guess I'm not??
I don’t like how they are assuming that Cassie wanted to be the bachelorette is the reason she is leaving or that she should have left before. They know how hard the experience is and Cassie was very confused.
I don’t know why they think Colton is such a great bachelor. He seems like a nice guy but he just came across as very inexperienced and not very mature in regards to relationships. Hence why he picked someone who was not into him. Nothing against Hannah B but I’m entirely not into her as the bachelorette. She is just incredibly juvenile to me, though she does seem very sweet. But, I will say I don’t really care for anyone enough to the bachelorette. This is the first season ever where I literally feel invested in no one except for Colton himself.
On the Caelynn/Cassie stuff, there's one thing I think most people weren't getting. The other girls were really saying separate things about each of them, which was revealed in the Kirpa-Cassie fight and in some of the Caelynn-Colton conversation. They were saying that 1) Cassie wasn't ready to be engaged and 2) Caelynn was there to be Bachelorette. Not that both were there for Bachelorette. I don't think Cassie cared about Bachelorette. This isn't how Bachelorette's play for that role - they come off as really sweet, unproblematic, likable, and of course READY for a commitment and always "blindsided" by the bachelor who cuts them. Caelynn kept saying how ready she was, how she was heartbroken, how she wanted love, how she hoped there was someone out there for her. THAT'S a Bachelorette campaign. Everything she said in hometowns and in the women tell all was definitely her trying to gain the sympathy points she would need for that role. Cassie was doing the opposite. She didn't wanna rush it, she basically was like I'm not ready/won't be ready for this on time for the show's format --- meaning she's never gonna want to do this franchise at all ever again. It was the same thing with Elyse's departure and why it meant she won't ever get the gig -- when you can't handle the show's format and fast-paced environment, you're not gonna be on it in the future. I'm in the minority where I think Cassie did like Colton, I just think she (like most of us) couldn't fall in love with someone in just a few weeks. She saw potential with him but didn't want to rush into it and pretend she was in love in such a short time. I actually think that's not so bad, she's not putting up a front anymore like they have them do to sell the perfect love story. The only thing that was really annoying was the stuff with her dad -- it's cool for you to be close to your family but I think they've clearly led her to believe that she needs their approval for everything and that really f'ed her up here more than anything. At some point you just have to grow up and if you need your parents permission for everything, you're definitely not ready to be married. But she really should just take Colton up on that offer to date outside of the show's get-engaged-in-the-end format. It's basically what she said she wanted but when he said it she acted like it was too good to be true and took off instead of considering it. Thank you for coming to my TED Talk.
I don’t think Hanna B is a “ under dog”. From the beginning I thought she is the most authentic person in the group, she is the only one who has shown her real self, now I still think so. Great job picking Hanna B, the Bachelorette is gonna be fun to watch. 😁

That’s such a hard thing about this show. Me being 21 surrounded by beautiful women all over, but that’s way too fast for me to confess my love to someone and get down on one knee.
The thing is; Cassie started to compare her fathers experience with her own. "I need to be certain". So didn`t take the risk. And maybe she would if she was encouraged to have self confidence in that crazy situation.....Instead her father convinced her to _not_ take the risk. Is that how love works....?
This girl Cassie may be immature at times but she's far from dumb. She fought to stay after the drama with Kirpa, so she's planning something. Her ex gave her his blessing to come on the show, and is probably in on her plans. She's the only one who hasn't said she's falling for him, so kudos to her. Poor Colton is head over heels though. Perhaps Cassie did this to help her little sister's acting career? We shall find out soon, I am guessing.

I personally loved how honest Cassie was - some girls just do it for the show and she was like I'm not ready, I don't know if I can get there and I need to leave. Like it's very easy to get wrapped up in the show experience and say I love you but she was very honest, props to you girl.
I think Cassie didnt even want to try... why fighting so much to stay on the show if she didnt “love him” she didnt need to get engaged.... just say hey need more time I like you I want to try this and see where it goes because dont think I am ready for a proposal (which I totally understand) but not even... she was never that into him....

Vero AD I think get there at all. She was always open and excited to see where this led, until Colton told her he didn’t get her Dad’s blessing. You could see her entire being get crushed. She was counting on her family seeing what she did. Then with her dad coming and telling her she should know immediately if Colton was the one, she felt if she didn’t know right then, it was wrong. No matter how much time Colton gave her, she believed that if she didn’t feel it right then, he wasn’t her soul mate.
I would love it if Cassies dad actually told production he wanted to come to give Colton his blessing..but in reality Cassie had asked him off-camera to give her an excuse to leave but would still make her look good enough to become the Bachelorette..I watch too much drama.
The cold hard fact here is that Cassie did not have strong enough of feelings for Colton to continue casually dating after the show. Period. She was in a reality tv show before the bachelor and she saw it as a good business opportunity. As a means for exposure/fame/money. She didn’t ever take into consideration what would happen if she got this far into the show and when she realized how serious it was getting she found a way out.
The only way this isn’t the case is if she changes her mind and wants to be with him. But if they don’t end up together, she clearly did it all for fame.
I think though - it’s worth pointing out - that Cassie’s dad - said “if we noticed that you were all in... this would be a very different experience for us” I think he knows his daughter. And they could tell something was off. And I really think this could have gone a different way - if she was further along in her feelings and less conflicted. I think he would have moved toward that “open ended / I trust you to make the right decision” type of permission... and it could have gone on to be a more typical... albeit still dramatic... finale... 🤷🏻♀️
I don’t think Cassie is gone just yet. I’ve seen her in the promos that we’ve never seen on screen before. She never posted a goodbye bachelor or my journey is over post. The ring box is empty because it’s the butterfly he kept from day 1.

THANX for letting us know that she dropped in on Hannah G's hometown,,,that had to be produced too (How would she know where to go?) BUT they did not air it for some reason...maybe they still will next week but it may have to do with the CAELYNN DRAMA & they made it clear they want to drop that on WTA last night. She could have dished the dirt on Caelynn & so he let her go... or MAYBE she stood up for caelynn and it may be her bachelorette audition... ;-) Ibet we will see it sometime...thanx for spilling that tea, I was wondering......................................
I feel like Cassie can't really think for herself. If her dad was all for the relationship, I think she would have been for it too. I think she relies on other peoples thought because she is so young and inexperienced to actually know what she wants.
I feel like she’s really immature for her age. She seeks her dads approval so much and he got in her head. It almost felt like he was telling her she wasn’t ready and her reaction was like okay I’ll leave, pretty much.
It seemed like to me that Cassie felt rushed to fall in love with Colton which freaked her out as it got closer and closer. When her and Kurpa had that fight she might have had feelings for him they just didnt progress over the next couple weeks. She probably thought she could get there but then her family put more doubts in her head. She got scared and tried to leave. A lot of people do that. When he told her he would stop the entire show and be with her that added guilt and even more pressure. She probably thought it was best that he goes with somebody who was already in love with him. I didnt see anything wrong with what happened. She was being honest just like he was. You cant over analyze everything she does saying oh she didnt like him because she kissed him awkwardly. Some people are just awkward and you never know what people feel. I have a completely different perspective than everybody I guess.
No one has mentioned that when Colton choose Cassie instead of Caelyn after hometowns, I thought Cassie looked shocked then. I think she should have declined the rose that day. Thinking this may have played out differently if she had been honest then.
You know, it's kinda ironic that most of the girls just fall in love with the whole idea. Perhaps, this was one of the more honest moments of how people would actually feel in these circumstances

I think her parents never allowed her to think for herself when she was growing up, and because of this she second guesses herself constantly and thinks how she feels is wrong. I think she always loved him but her Dad made her second guess herself.

Y'all are SO wrong. Even in a conversation to a producer, Cassie wouldn't say, as a throw-away line, "There are no red flags," if she wasn't really into Colton and trying to get there with him. There is literally NO incentive for her to toss that line in the mix if she wasn't thinking down that path of, "Could he be the one for me?" I think there hasn't been anyone more honest on any season of the whole franchise except Cassie ever (except maybe Ashley I when talking about how into Jared she was.... And she was trying to do the right thing to extract herself so that he could have his fantasy moment of an engagement at the end, thanks in part to her Dad's "God is more important than this" and "If you don't feel it right away, then he's not right for you," both of which is BS. If she wanted the Bachelorette, the wise thing to do would be to not have been so torn now and to have done the evening dinner and then told him at the overnight she still wasn't there and then maintained that to the end so he would pick the other woman over her. But no, before he even reveals how he's in love with her and she's it for him, she already had the plan to just remove herself from the show. For you to say that "she's not ready" is all about her being 23 or whatever, is so wrong because all she's saying is EXACTLY what he's already told several women--"I don't know if i can get there." When you've said that's so sweet and honest of him. And I CAN'T BELIEVE you think she's not that into him when it's been clear when it's just the two of them that they have some of the best chemistry we've seen on this show, and which is extremely rare for two people to have. I think when Cassie was defending her character two episodes ago, she meant she was ready for marriage not to be married to Colton. She was never sure about Colton. I think she was really confused and was honest about it the whole time. She never said she loved him or that he was the one, which would be so easy to do.

Tanner and Jade as parents is really what I watched during this interview. So many sweet moments of them with their daughter. The way that Tanner reaches down to acknowledge his daughter and rub her head and back and look right at her...what a priceless subtext to the conversation about taking advice from parents...little girls growing up with daddy’s love...so precious!

Cassie went to the bachelor for fame and when she's starting to notice that Colton would pick her she freak out. She didn't look sad on the break up she smile to the camera and when Colton was shaking she smile to. She makes a lot of excuses and Colton said the right thing and she still wanna go. If they get back together i don't think it will last. Caelynn wanting to be the bachelorette but we all see her true colors thank god they are not picking her.

I really thought Cassie was trying to recreate a Becca-like situation (think about the long drawn out drama), but with a different spin on it. I really do think she is not in love with Colton and didn't seem upset at all with the breakup. Come on!!! At one point, when she was breaking his heart and they were hugging, she smiled right at the camera with a smirk on her face. She wanted to be Bachelorette, I'm sorry; I agree. Colton was not pressing for an engagement at all so what would be the issue? LOL I hope he can find the love he deserves.
There is nothing similar about it. Becca was the one broken-hearted so people were rooting for her. Here, Colton is the broken hearted one. If she wanted to be the bachelorette she wouldn’t have broken his heart like that. Each time Colton told her he wanted a future with her she felt more pressured. He offered to give her more time but made it clear where he wanted this to go. This, combined with her dad’s input, made her so confused that if she had stayed it would have been really ugly. She did the only thing she could do to escape the pressure.

I'm talking simply about the production of it--it was an intense, long, almost drawn out 20 minutes of someone getting their heart broken. And Colton made it clear if she stayed, he would adjust his expectations. I think she wanted to be perceived as doing "the selfless, right thing." Personally, I'm not exactly torn up about any of these girls leaving. I have rbeen rooting for Hannah G, the whole time and poor thing didn't even get a date! LOL

See I heard something different from her dad he was talking about an ENGAGEMENT not simply a relationship, he is under the impression if she gets to the end she will be engaged and what he is saying is you have to have no doubts about getting engaged because it’s not a next step in a relationship in itself an engagement is an intention to get married and you shouldn’t have doubts when entering into a marriage, so I one hundred percent agreed with all he said. And he was right, the rest especially when Colton said ok we don’t have to get engaged let’s just see where this goes, that’s what her dad wanted, but she didn’t want that, she just wasn’t into him.
As much as I’m pulling for Colton... I also feel really bad for Taisha and Hannah G! Last night’s episode had to have been excruciating! Especially that part about when he’s on other dates he’s always thinking about her!

Don’t think age has to do with it. Yes, more women who are younger might not be ready for marriage, but it doesnt mean every every 22/23 year old isn’t ready. My sister was married at 22. And I know many girls married between 21-23.

I agree with Jade, I think people are putting too much weight into what katie said and that situation that its influencing how their seeing things. I relate a lot to cassie here, I don't think she is just there to be a bachellorrette. If anyone was it was caelynn, and Cassie is being dragged down with her. She never directly said to him she was ready for marriage, she said she was here for him. That is not the wrong reason.
Cassie wanted him to pick the other girls, and wanted to be harsh and assertive of her feelings with him, because if she isn't even if she stays she will continue to feel that scatteredness. She needed to leave no matter what since she started that.

Cassie is an adult. Regardless of how young she comes across, she is an adult. Her dad should have let her make her own adult decision and let her make her own mistakes to learn from. He seemed extremely controlling to me and it scared me a little.
She did make her own decision, though it was a decision clouded by her expectations to have a "perfect relationship" just like her parents. No relationship is perfect and you don't always know from day one that someone is your soul mate or an epic love. But ultimately she did make her own decision and If I'm being honest I was quite happy to see her leave; she has allot of growing up to do before she should get married. Aside from that I feel really bad for Hannah and Tayshia as they deserve far better. I'm kind of hoping Colton ends the season alone as his choices are proving that he too isn't ready for marriage.

I so disagree that she was “trying” to become The Bachelorette. Now, with Caelynn, it was obvious. Very obvious. I think Cassie is a genuine girl. I believe she truly was young and confused, had this image in her head that she wanted the love her parents always talked about, and was worried it wasn’t that with Colton. She felt she was staying true to herself and her family by leaving. I think she genuinely likes Colton and I do think she’ll come back to him. Colton would be an amazing husband- so faithful and dedicated to his wife and children- plus taking care of all his CF babies. Cassie knows that. I hope they last!!!

Here is my theory. Cassie went onto the show, not looking for love but to promote herself. Keep in mind she is an ACTRESS, and has been in tv shows. When her and Colton broke up, she seemed super insensitive and honestly like she never cared for him. She didn’t expect to make it this far, and it was made super clear when Colton even offered to wait and she wouldn’t take it.
She also stared into the camera....while in Coltons arms... lol.. creepy
But then I heard she comes back. Ugh idk lol

The common theme with Bachelorettes is that they are normally intelligent, interesting, articulate women. Hannah B is surely genuine but that's about it. This might be my first season not watching the Bachelorette if she is chosen.

I don’t know why they think Colton is such a great bachelor. He seems like a nice guy but he just came across as very inexperienced and not very mature in regards to relationships. Hence why he picked someone who was not into him. Nothing against Hannah B but I’m entirely not into her as the bachelorette. She is just incredibly juvenile to me, though she does seem very sweet. But, I will say I don’t really care for anyone enough to the bachelorette. This is the first season ever where I literally feel invested in no one except for Colton himself.
I loved all of them talking about the episode last night. I hope they end up doing a lot more. Or even just on Ashley’s podcasts

On the Caelynn/Cassie stuff, there's one thing I think most people weren't getting. The other girls were really saying separate things about each of them, which was revealed in the Kirpa-Cassie fight and in some of the Caelynn-Colton conversation. They were saying that 1) Cassie wasn't ready to be engaged and 2) Caelynn was there to be Bachelorette. Not that both were there for Bachelorette.
I don't think Cassie cared about Bachelorette. This isn't how Bachelorette's play for that role - they come off as really sweet, unproblematic, likable, and of course READY for a commitment and always "blindsided" by the bachelor who cuts them. Caelynn kept saying how ready she was, how she was heartbroken, how she wanted love, how she hoped there was someone out there for her. THAT'S a Bachelorette campaign. Everything she said in hometowns and in the women tell all was definitely her trying to gain the sympathy points she would need for that role. Cassie was doing the opposite. She didn't wanna rush it, she basically was like I'm not ready/won't be ready for this on time for the show's format --- meaning she's never gonna want to do this franchise at all ever again. It was the same thing with Elyse's departure and why it meant she won't ever get the gig -- when you can't handle the show's format and fast-paced environment, you're not gonna be on it in the future.
I'm in the minority where I think Cassie did like Colton, I just think she (like most of us) couldn't fall in love with someone in just a few weeks. She saw potential with him but didn't want to rush into it and pretend she was in love in such a short time. I actually think that's not so bad, she's not putting up a front anymore like they have them do to sell the perfect love story.
The only thing that was really annoying was the stuff with her dad -- it's cool for you to be close to your family but I think they've clearly led her to believe that she needs their approval for everything and that really f'ed her up here more than anything. At some point you just have to grow up and if you need your parents permission for everything, you're definitely not ready to be married. But she really should just take Colton up on that offer to date outside of the show's get-engaged-in-the-end format. It's basically what she said she wanted but when he said it she acted like it was too good to be true and took off instead of considering it.

This girl Cassie may be immature at times but she's far from dumb. She fought to stay after the drama with Kirpa, so she's planning something. Her ex gave her his blessing to come on the show, and is probably in on her plans. She's the only one who hasn't said she's falling for him, so kudos to her. Poor Colton is head over heels though. Perhaps Cassie did this to help her little sister's acting career? We shall find out soon, I am guessing.

I personally loved how honest Cassie was - some girls just do it for the show and she was like I'm not ready, I don't know if I can get there and I need to leave. Like it's very easy to get wrapped up in the show experience and say I love you but she was very honest, props to you girl.

I think get there at all. She was always open and excited to see where this led, until Colton told her he didn’t get her Dad’s blessing. You could see her entire being get crushed. She was counting on her family seeing what she did. Then with her dad coming and telling her she should know immediately if Colton was the one, she felt if she didn’t know right then, it was wrong. No matter how much time Colton gave her, she believed that if she didn’t feel it right then, he wasn’t her soul mate.
I would love it if Cassies dad actually told production he wanted to come to give Colton his blessing..but in reality Cassie had asked him off-camera to give her an excuse to leave but would still make her look good enough to become the Bachelorette..I watch too much drama.
The cold hard fact here is that Cassie did not have strong enough of feelings for Colton to continue casually dating after the show. Period. She was in a reality tv show before the bachelor and she saw it as a good business opportunity. As a means for exposure/fame/money. She didn’t ever take into consideration what would happen if she got this far into the show and when she realized how serious it was getting she found a way out.
The only way this isn’t the case is if she changes her mind and wants to be with him. But if they don’t end up together, she clearly did it all for fame.

I think though - it’s worth pointing out - that Cassie’s dad - said “if we noticed that you were all in... this would be a very different experience for us”
I think he knows his daughter. And they could tell something was off. And I really think this could have gone a different way - if she was further along in her feelings and less conflicted. I think he would have moved toward that “open ended / I trust you to make the right decision” type of permission... and it could have gone on to be a more typical... albeit still dramatic... finale... 🤷🏻♀️
Maybe they'll become good friends like Jared and Ashley did and she'll realize she truly loves him!

I don’t think Cassie is gone just yet. I’ve seen her in the promos that we’ve never seen on screen before. She never posted a goodbye bachelor or my journey is over post. The ring box is empty because it’s the butterfly he kept from day 1.

BUT they did not air it for some reason...maybe they still will next week but it may have to do with the CAELYNN DRAMA & they made it clear they want to drop that on WTA last night.

It seemed like to me that Cassie felt rushed to fall in love with Colton which freaked her out as it got closer and closer. When her and Kurpa had that fight she might have had feelings for him they just didnt progress over the next couple weeks. She probably thought she could get there but then her family put more doubts in her head. She got scared and tried to leave. A lot of people do that. When he told her he would stop the entire show and be with her that added guilt and even more pressure. She probably thought it was best that he goes with somebody who was already in love with him. I didnt see anything wrong with what happened. She was being honest just like he was. You cant over analyze everything she does saying oh she didnt like him because she kissed him awkwardly. Some people are just awkward and you never know what people feel. I have a completely different perspective than everybody I guess.
No one has mentioned that when Colton choose Cassie instead of Caelyn after hometowns, I thought Cassie looked shocked then. I think she should have declined the rose that day. Thinking this may have played out differently if she had been honest then.

You know, it's kinda ironic that most of the girls just fall in love with the whole idea. Perhaps, this was one of the more honest moments of how people would actually feel in these circumstances

I think her parents never allowed her to think for herself when she was growing up, and because of this she second guesses herself constantly and thinks how she feels is wrong. I think she always loved him but her Dad made her second guess herself.

@@bsvlogs3753 Well, I think Colton is really boring, but this season has been interesting. I bet anything that Hannah G is more interesting than what we've been shown. NOBODY can be more boring than Arie... And now my vote is for Elyse. She left way too early, but why does the Bachelorette have to be someone from top five? New blood would do the franchise so well, I think. And Hannah B will remain tainted for me about her dispute with Caelynn (I'm talking all the way back to their pageant days). I don't want a Bachelor or Bachelorette who can't handle conflict gracefully. Period. I'm never going to forget that it was Hannah B who brought up Caelyn's pre-show behavior to Colton. That's unacceptable to me. And we're oddly not shown the footage of her visiting Colton's hotel the night of his hometown visit with Caelyn... What the hell was that all about?
K Jamie i do agree that Elyse would be the best choice but i honestly don’t see them doing that unfortunately. yeah it sucked that Hannah B. talked about Caelynn but you know it was probably very encouraged by producers and such....
@@bsvlogs3753 Yeah, it's clear they know who they want based on fan chatter--much the same way it was clear from the start that Colton would be their Bachelor choice (which turned out to be a good choice, but not for the right reasons). They are clearly paintin her in a more positive light now and even withhheld the footage they originally were going to show about her visiting him during his hometown visit with Caelynn...
Y'all are SO wrong. Even in a conversation to a producer, Cassie wouldn't say, as a throw-away line, "There are no red flags," if she wasn't really into Colton and trying to get there with him. There is literally NO incentive for her to toss that line in the mix if she wasn't thinking down that path of, "Could he be the one for me?" I think there hasn't been anyone more honest on any season of the whole franchise except Cassie ever (except maybe Ashley I when talking about how into Jared she was.... And she was trying to do the right thing to extract herself so that he could have his fantasy moment of an engagement at the end, thanks in part to her Dad's "God is more important than this" and "If you don't feel it right away, then he's not right for you," both of which is BS. If she wanted the Bachelorette, the wise thing to do would be to not have been so torn now and to have done the evening dinner and then told him at the overnight she still wasn't there and then maintained that to the end so he would pick the other woman over her. But no, before he even reveals how he's in love with her and she's it for him, she already had the plan to just remove herself from the show. For you to say that "she's not ready" is all about her being 23 or whatever, is so wrong because all she's saying is EXACTLY what he's already told several women--"I don't know if i can get there." When you've said that's so sweet and honest of him. And I CAN'T BELIEVE you think she's not that into him when it's been clear when it's just the two of them that they have some of the best chemistry we've seen on this show, and which is extremely rare for two people to have. Ashley, you've been biased against Cassie for weeks, and you've gotten Jared in your corner.
Also, being ready for marriage doesn’t mean ready to marry Colten.
