How to Use Lightroom for Pet Photography Editing

  • Adobe Lightroom is undoubtably one of the most popular editing programs available for any genre of photography.
    In this video, I'm going to give you a quick overview of some of my favourite features when it comes to editing a pet photo. We're not touching on organisation or cataloging this time, although Lightroom is also great for that!
    I'll show you how we can correct the white balance, reduce noise and chromatic aberration/fringing, what we might want to think about when it comes to using the global adjustments, and show you a step-by-step walkthrough of how we can use a number of radial filters to brighten up our underexposed photo, work on the eyes, and gently shape the light.

  • @katyeah1213
    @katyeah1213 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I open pictures directly in PS and do those edits you show here in Camera Raw - is there a huge difference between LR und CR? Because for me it looks pretty much the same.
    Thank you so much for sharing this tutorial! :)

    • @InspawrationPhotography
      @InspawrationPhotography  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Nope! They're REALLY similar! Lightroom just works as more of a library so if you have a separate organisational/cataloguing system that works for you, then camera raw is totally fine!

    Good video, but how do you apply this to 200 photos without taking a month to edit all the pictures?

    • @InspawrationPhotography
      @InspawrationPhotography  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I don't. My clients choose from RAW files. I only edit what they want. It's not wedding photography, nobody needs 200 posed photos of their pets. Most I've sold in a session is about 60. 200 photos would cos them about $20,000 so they're welcome to buy that many, but I doubt they will. My photos are precious, they are worth the time it takes to edit them individually.

    How possible you shot with a ISO 2500 and there’s no noise!!!!???? I’ve a sony too maybe I don’t use it correctly!!?? 😮❤

    • @InspawrationPhotography
      @InspawrationPhotography  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Some things are: not needing to brighten up the image too much in editing, using the denoise slider, but also there probably IS noise, I just don’t care about it/it isn’t the end of the world

  • @antoinelm78
    @antoinelm78 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Great video. You are good at explaining how you process the image ... but the music is way too loud, too present, and takes over your voice and make it hard to follow the process :(

    • @InspawrationPhotography
      @InspawrationPhotography  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Got an eye video coming up, but I still use radials or the brush tool, and add some yellow, maybe pull up shadows a bit (but don't go crazy)

    • @dosam_6146
      @dosam_6146 ปีที่แล้ว

      So would you use photoshop to dodge and burn or is there a way to do this in lightroom?

    • @InspawrationPhotography
      @InspawrationPhotography  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@dosam_6146 I personally use PS for it yes but it’s absolutely possible in LR. You’d go to the masking section and make a new Brush mask. For burning you want to either lower the exposure or shadows. For burn you want to raise the exposure. There’s a built in brush preset you can use with the exposure settings already there but I usually set it myself. Then brush in the effect where you want it 😊
