The one live unboxing I was waiting for, and I went to sleep ! :D Looks very solid. Next stop - Thinkpad P1 Gen 6 and/or P16 Gen 2. Thanks for doing the great work !
Great review! I agree, this cost is not prohibitive. Was waiting to see this new machine. I have the 5760 from late 2021. 4k touchscreen, 64gb Ram, Xeon processor, 1TB SSD, and RTX A3000. One-man architecture office, was $5k+, no hesitation on price. Great write-off. Larger firms care even less about cost.
"Larger firms care even less about cost"" I don't know where you and Andrew pull these "gems" of knowledge from but all big, and I mean BIG, companies I know of buy laptops as cheaply as possible and they will even compromise on specs as long as they feel that the deal they got is the cheapest there is.
@@neetop1557 Exactly, it was a battle of a lifetime to convience my bosses at one of these big corporations to step up from the TN panel up to the next IPS option a couple of years ago, even if we were talking about not that much per unit and besides, everyone complained about the atrocious viewing angles and everyone basically hated the laptops because of this. Suffice to say, I wasn't necessarly successful, but rather OEMs finally moved on from TNs to offering IPS as the entry level option, so the cheapest then was actually way better.
the best part is that Dell offers a i9+64GB+iGPU option and a OLED screen.. I never saw 5770/5570 with such a config in my country.. it's expensive but the battery life will be crazy good.. a little dissapointed at the soldered ram and I'm afraid next gen XPS 15/17 might follow the same decision...
Question: did you choose the smart card option or is it a default part of the chassis? I don't want a smart card slot .... because I'm worried about dust accumulation
There is a stock configured Unit that ordered for doing SW, Simulation and Rendering., i9 64Gb, 12gb GPU and 1tb $3800 stock price can't wait to replace my old Surfacebook 2
This laptop impresses when it comes to its specifications, offering exceptional performance and sharp screen quality. Nevertheless, the audio experience falls far short of expectations. The volume is notably lower than what you'd find in a typical smartphone speaker, with virtually no bass presence and an overall muffled sound. While it's a fantastic purchase for those seeking top-tier performance, the audio quality leaves much to be desired for a laptop of this caliber.
Any chance to check the BIOS settings for FN + Left/Right arrow keys mapping? After Dell has moved Home/End to F11/F12 these machines are no go for me :(

No worries as you have the replay. Thanks!
Loved the unboxing, great job as usual Andrew!

Have you heard if there is any chance of you getting in the 5480?
Yes coming soon
@@andrewmarcdavid Awesome looking forward to it
First question. What is the best workstation
2. How great is dell 5750 workstation
also, how is the cooling system on this compared to the xps?
This card is unholy powerful matching a 7900xt🔝
The price is insane.
Everything is nuts in 2023
can this work with the hp dock g5?
Support for trackpad vibration feedback?
It is a haptic touchpad and it's one of the best I have used
@ andrewmarcdavid This is supposed to be Dell's first touch-enabled laptop!

What about the arrow keys, not sure why they stick with this nonsensical flat arrow key arrangement, rather than the reverse T.
The HDD is only 512MB 😢
???
That's waaaay too cheap, I'd buy a 40ft high cube container of them in an instant if they were selling them by containers.
No laptop are worth that price.
What size case is needed to protect this laptop (purchasing for a college student).
