We used to use a deutz km25 big old 2 drum mower for the rushes…. No conditioner or fancy rubbish to get blocked, we they made them into round bales like hay for bedding dry stock…..
Are you running the mower too slow?? Seen that happen in a silage field. Lad who didn't know the mower was in 540 when he should have been in 1000...🤷♂️👍👍Hope ya get sorted👍👍

You need a hooked stanley blade to get through that easily, same as the carpet layers use
Conditioner catching the rushes before the are cut. They are taller than most crops.

Belts slipping on conditioner tighten them and slacken the plate on the conditioner so it's not as tight

Only one machine for them and that is double chop silage harvester and slow down.
