People saying non-Koreans are weak for not being able to endure kpop training are ignorant to think their Korean idols aren’t feeling exactly the same as KG. You know your members who went on hiatus or left their groups for undisclosed reasons? They were probably abused to a point where their lives/health were at stake too. Some idols even committed suicide. This treatment is NOT normal, nor should it be considered normal. Idols should also not be put into slave contracts where they are forced into several hundreds of dollars of debt. Like a regular corporation, companies should hire people knowing that the person may or may not make the company money. Like, you don’t get a job at Starbucks and have to pay the company money to join.
Koreans are actually insulting and threatening the victims. To Koreans, the safety and well-being of the victims are not important. We all know how difficult and miserable K-pop trainees are. But they never try to fix it because the image of K-pop is important because they can feel patriotism in their miserable lives.

The sad part is on their social media the girls seemed so happy living the idol life and being able to travel and do interviews and photoshoots. They had to pretend everything was okay for the camera while behind the scenes being tortured. I'm glad KG broke the silence and spoke up for herself and her members, hopefully she's able to win the lawsuit.
@@RookieMistakes exactly! She clearly stated in the letter that the harm and abuse she ensured is "embedded in the kpop industry" and is toxic. All idols are going through this nightmare every day. She talked because she's American but kpop idols can't speak because korean audience would bash them calling them weak, we seriously have to do something about this. Imagine the amount of K-pop idols in big labels enduring this kind of torture but can't speak. It's terrible about it and have to smile in front of cameras.
The amount of comments that says "They are being lazy" or "They should not debut if they weren't prepared" are ridiculous. I think some of yall forget all the pressure your precious Idols are still going on. Even if you see your idol smile that does not mean they are okay with overworking themselves ...
im glad you always said jype instead of jyp, because i actually feel sorry for jyp that people hate him even tho he doesnt even manage the label anymore. What KG endured is terrible. Tnh, i hope that the many young ppl who want to be an idol rethink their choices bcuz of that
@@Gleam-b2x Many idols are rather depressed because people who call themselves fans harass them and want to control everything about their idol and, if they can't manage it, they destroy the idol's life by spreading rumors. They do everything they can to get the one idol kicked out of the group. It's not just the artist company's fault. Example: Stray Kids-Hyunjin, EXO-Chen etc. He hasn't been CEO since 2011 but a producer.
And k netz defending this saying :its normal in the industry need a reality check" how is self harm normal these things should be stopped at all costs i feel bad for vcha they are so young they deserve better
A part of the mistreatment was allegedly racism from the Korean staff, k netz seem to have little to no sympathy for foreigners. And Koreans seem to be really rude to foreigners in the kpop industry.
No,no no, the company did not made her only eat ice cubes. It was her idea, after somebody at JYPE said that she has to lose weight in a week, to debut or she would not, BUT they did not give her any help, any dietian or anything helpful or a way to lose the weight healthy and keep it. Just were like "yeah... so just do it if you wanna debut. If you can not do it, we have other girls that can take your place." Far more insane. They did not make her do it. They put her in a situation were she tought that ice cubes were the only option.
"you need to suffer to succeed" This is the most important life lesson we Are taught as Asian kids. Kpop has not only used it as it's mantra, but somewhat romanticized it. Aaa
That's really sad; sure, no success is ever achieved without some form of struggles, but no one should be told they have to actually suffer for it :( We should be enjoying the path to our pursuits, not going through the motions painfully. What a tragic standard that is...

@Stellafoxy6 so being strict is abuse, mistreatment and not feeding their artists? Aren't you even ashamed to comment such things here? stop wasting our planet's oxygen if it's go say things like that please, it's precious. Let it to people that are more useful thank you 🙏🏻❣️

I think the biggest thing is cultural difference. Its so sad and unfortunate that this is what soooo many trainees endure in Korean. They spend a looooot of money just to train and debut idols without knowing weather there’ll be successful enough to make back the money and more. But what jype doesn’t understand is that the labour laws and social standards are different in Korea. VCHA doesn’t even promote much or have even had their own concerts, so they actually haven’t MADE any profit
This is not only the company, there are other companies doing this in Kpop artists that either disband or commit taking their lives, because of peer pressure and unfair mismanagement. They need to change the laws and policies in South Korea for artists that work in Kpop or in the film industry. Instead appreciating their talents, they destroys their talents and dreams. SMH.
Obviously something was happening. They didn't post anything months. Also the debut and diet thing are not a surprise. So many idols have talked about this before.
JYPE(US) and other K-pop companies need to realize that America has its own culture and standards, which differ greatly from Korea's. K-pop's extreme beauty standards and intense training regimens have no place here. These practices can be harmful to mental and physical health and should not be normalized in the U.S. Our government should establish stricter regulations for overseas companies setting up shop in the United States, ensuring their practices align with American values and laws. K-pop's obsession with unattainable beauty standards and relentless idol training doesn't align with promoting authenticity or mental well-being. K-pop culture should stay within its country of origin if it cannot adapt to healthier practices that respect diversity and individuality. It's important to protect the integrity and authenticity of our culture while setting boundaries for what is acceptable when foreign industries expand into the U.S. this has nothing to do J.Y. Park himself he is also the founder of the company not the current CEO so this in my opinion it is on him not J.Y. Park himself but to whomever the CEO is of JYP at this current time also taking look at the JYP entertainment website it says this JYP Entertainment abides by the law, morality, and social norms by managing the business transparently. As the industry leader, the company will continue to carry out duties and responsibilities as a trustworthy member of society.
I thought it was JYPE America not the Korean/official branch itself? I also saw the document from google, i thought it was a recent release and I haven't seen it going around YT yet so I read it from there. It says, "JYP USA Inc., a stateside branch of billion-dollar K-pop company JYP Entertainment that’s delivered some of the scene’s most successful and internationally recognized artists, was sued in Los Angeles county court on Friday, December 6...." KG even said, “I’d like to thank J.Y Park, company executives, and staff for believing in me and the exceptional training." I feel like the problem here was the JYPE branch in America.
Exactly, don't get me wrong, the company was VERY WRONG for this, but it wasn't the Korean branch tho? The Korean branch has very small involvement on this, It's about the American branch. But either way, they were getting SERIOUS mistreatment, like imagine getting verbally and emotionally abvsed, almost committing svicid3, being expected to sing while having a fucking virus, etc. like that is absolutely INHUMANE.
@Ventislyre143JYPark hold the company to certain standards and morals he expects of all his staff and idols alike so whoever the staff members who were abusing them I have no doubt will be punished
@Ventislyre143 the US usually has better law and working culture than Korea, if their US employees are like this, I would say the Korean brand is 10 times worse. The difference is Korean idols are used to the culture so they can tolerate, but the US idols can't.
It's honestly so sad to see how these girls' talents just went to waste. They weren't even given a proper chance to showcase what they can do. Honestly, I'm really disappointed...
(not saying it is right, but living in a dorm, long practice hours, practice with injuries, back forth from practice room and schools, diet, it is just something kpop have been doing all the time(that's why I don't really support debuting underage idols cause they are at the age where they are supposed to eat more to grow and to have enough rest time for their studies)) Does things have to be changed? Absolutely, but before that, the market have to change Asians are really mean to ladies who are not thin that me, a size s in shein, need to buy a size L in china website and there is just so many times where I heard those aunties who I never meet talk about how I look dirty for a more tanned skin+fat lady. I am 168cm and 54 kg, but in the asian society, this is called fat. I am just lucky that I have muscles and a bigger bone frame that they have more control on what they speak cause they know it will hurt bad if I decided to punch them in the face lmao
And ofc they can set rules and so on but for Asians we are constantly asked "other can do it why you cannot", "look at the mirror, do you think people will like you", " you would be nothing without us", "pain is for the future pleasure" and etc that we absolutely was used to PUA ourselves that we are fine when we are in the situation where we are not fine
And according to past records, idols just are not obligated to earn money at the start of their career UNTIL they pay back all their debts(food stay transport etc). Which I think the not okay part in this situation is that they picked an expensive stay for a group that haven't even start earning which leads to massive debts at early career(if u start with a crappy place you won't need to pay that much and personally I think this decision should be made by all members where they choose whether they want a crappy place of bigger debt instead of people choosing for them
I agree if they want to be idles they could research how they are treated and how they work before auditioning, because I feel like she's making a big fuss out of what happens to all idles not saying how idles are treated is a good thing its just every idle and triane have to go through the same thing.

JYP and his management teams should have known that this was not going to work out. The Kpop industry as a whole may try to produce an END PRODUCT that is similar to American/Western Pop music, but the processes and way of doing things to get that end product is not the same in America as in Korea and WILL NOT fly in America! In Korea as well as most Asian countries, laws related to business and industry are heavily weighted in favor of the companies; NOT the individual/employees. In the US, it's often the other way around. JYP himself has enough knowledge and experience about cultural and legal differences between ROK and the US. Knowing that VCHA would be based in and trained in the US, he should have made clear to his people that they cannot treat trainees, especially MINOR trainees, the same as they are used to treating them in ROK.
Idc what any of yall have to say abuse is abuse like some of u don’t have any sympathy or human decency it’s weird it’s all “there weak” until it happens to u

Those are the same conditions ALL kpop idols live in. KG was smart enough to write in her letter "toxic conditions embedded in the kpop industry" thus they all suffer under that horrible treatment. Kg talked coz she's American and western culture accepts this speech but Korean idols can't talk bc they're afraid to be bashed by the Korean audience, it's a nightmare for all of them.

Must be nice for a millionaire being shielded by company stans. That’s not how the strict CA laws on minors is implemented. The U.S. has long-arm statute and uses the piercing the corporate veil if needed to go after the parent company. They can be banned from doing business and assets abroad seized. There is potential criminal liability here for staff and executives who allowed the abuse to happen. It’s now with the LA Superior Court. No media play will work here.
It’s unsurprising that they put Kaylee on hiatus if they had to do all of this.. I hope that she hasn’t had to go through as much of this and that the rest of the girls can get better treatment in the future.
JYP has used scandals in the past to it’s advantage way back to Suzy of Miss A and her involvement with Lee Minho these kids are not allowed to do anything outside their square and told to put up with the pain of a injury. Their is no privacy anymore not alone and being monitored I bet their phones and their online activity was also monitored. It’s really sad that these are times that we live in. Even Min Hee Jin they gained access to her private messages, not that I support the way she treated New Jeans either but I’m guessing these girls can’t even speak out to their parents. These big companies are just running horse racing stables.
Never thought that, all companies treat their idols as objects lol just Becouse it seems perfect on the outside and there’s less allegations against a company doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen
How could you think like that? The first thought that came to my mind was Yeji crying when JYP said something to her during the recording session and in this same session JYP treated Lia very badly. Remember: Lia's hiatuses due to mental health.

These type of abuse very much being done all the time within the kpop industry and at some point being the norm. After being kpop fans since 2011, i've been seen this type of allegation from multiple different company. I genuinely wondering how long until it will resurface again and finally get address internationally especially in the west comsidering in the previous era this allegation mostly happen between korean company and korean+chinese idol/trainee.
It happened a lot doesn't mean it's not wrong. What you said is just like "mass sh**ting is so popular in the US, it's the norm, if you live in the US you should expect it"
Don't get me wrong, it's a terrible job to do especially at that age, but I think there is a culture difference between South Korea and the USA, and the VCHA girls probably didn't know what they were getting into. The abuse is bad, although some of it like working till midnight is just complaining to a South Korean. There high school hours are basically the same as that in that country. But I think they were just too young and didn't have the mindset like sports and theatre people typically do.
i completely agree, the company shouldve made sure to explain what was necessary for the job and what the company wanted them to do-- espeacially since they were minors involved! this is so crazy too considering Kaylee went on hiatus for a while and so im a little scared that she mightve been the attempt. i hope all the girls are ok...
What does your silly comment has to do with abuse? Did you even read her letter? She's stating things that kpop idols already stated themselves previously: absue, eating disorder, mistreatment. And that has nothing to do with working hours. If KG wasn't harmed, she would have no issues working 24/7. She's Okay with that but not in abusive bad conditions.
I find it difficult to believe suicide attempt from a child in Korea is a cultural norm. What was described from KG and her lawyers is abuse. Abuse that leads a CHILD to try to end her life by a drug overdose! There is no culture in 2024 that normalizes that.
What a year lmao, kpop fans were draging hype because a manager told a rookie group to ignored NJs,@newjeans and bunnies this is what a workplace bullies look like.
I will say this every time all companies and not only Korean wise have a dark side behind them there is no such as a perfect company and the sad thing is that nothing will change 😞😠
Probably scared to go against it. The amount of money between legal teams and longevity of the trial a chance they could end up in more debt. 💸 why you always have a lawyer present, if possible, multiple to view any contract you sign.

I get where Kg is coming from, but if you listen to ANY well known group about their trainee days, none of this would be surprising. Its the standard ( I'm not saying its right). I always thought these girls wanting to do this knew what they were getting into.
I think youre forgetting something laws from korea and usa are very different when it comes to this. not to mention half of the members of the group are MINORS, MINORS that are paid way below the legal amount of minimum wage and are overworked. This standard shouldnt even be a standard. Isn't it concerning that JYPE and JYP himself promotes eating less for a good figure for dancing? and how he has the most idols that basically went on hiatus for health and anxiety reasons?
Most young people wanting to be artist have no idea the reality of abuse they will endure. Companies keep a hush on things so it's not all common knowledge.
The only surprise here is the arrogance of JYP (yes the man) and JYPE to think they could bring ACTUAL Kpop practices to the US and get away with it. Of course the only one who will pay for it will the the Idiot in charge of JYPE USA. I would have hoped it would wake up the world to what's going on in Kpop but judging from the comments the trolls will win again and the companies will continue these practices, and yes JYPE is playing by the rules in Korea just don't bring it here. The next western parent who allows their kid to go to Korea to join Kpop will have no one to blame but them self you all have been told.
@@Gleam-b2x Not sure what your trying to say but what happened to those two young ladies has already been swept under the rug and forgotten about. The laws in Korea protect the companies and the kids are bound by contracts that keep them quite.

This is disturbing! Now I will say this, none of this is impossible, yes there is no proof, but you have to admit that most of this stuff that was said, other idols have spoken about as well. They were absent for sooo long and we always wondered why. So the fact this is coming out now makes alot of sense. New Jeans has recently spoken out against their company and even though they are a huge successful group and that people think they are throwing their lives away, something must have happened if they took the risk of speaking out about it. Same with VCHA why were they gone for so long? These are things we can only ask questions about but never truly know. Regardless I’m supporting the girls and I pray they get justice or even leaving the company for their mental health.

I can understand the first one, but the rest is part of being a k-pop star or trainee. It's also part of Korean culture to diet and doing things like practice or work for hours. Like theatre kinda, only as a star, every night is a full house. The attempt is wrong though. Guys, k-pop is like football training. Everything is controlled and the focus is on a perfect body and perfect performance. It's just like theatre only more extreme in competitiveness. If you want to be a k-pop star you have to train like it first and be prepared to go through a lot of hard work.
yes you have to work hard but only to an extent, you cant go too extreme or it actually hinders your progress and saying its a part of korean culture means its normal but doesn't make it right

We’ve seen enough examples from the Korean music industry to know these issues are real. Brushing off people’s experiences with ‘there’s no proof’ just enables these systems to keep mistreating artists. Instead of defending companies with a history of controversy, we should be listening to the people who’ve had the courage to speak up.
Haha this is sooo Korean. Well, please don't take this wrong. This should be about cultural difference, and has nothing to do about racism. Please don't get swayed by haters who are even lazy to look up a little. Launching each k-pop group cost several million USD, and what entertainment companies invests are to cover those cost including lifestyle and training to increase the chance of success of a newly launching k-pop group, because there are thousands of trainees who wish to be one of these 'k-pop star', only those that fit "the standard" can get the chance to compete on stage.
Groups like "big-mama" from Korea had great vocal skills, but failed to make into major scene in korean pop industry, because of this 'standard' as k-pop is more of selling the image of members rather than their song only.
Thisssssssss!!!!! that' one point, then we also have seunghan and now vcha. Not to mention idols who passed away due to extreme hate . K-netz will prefer to send trucks to remove female backup dancers but remain silent in these matters. They will send d***h wraths to someone who just had been in a relationship. And name these girls 'ungrateful' just because they are foreigners and decided to speak up against these stupid norms which has been normalised in korea.
Am not trying to justify what jype did to her.. but if you want to be a kpop idol you have to endure all of this … all the kpop idols went through this and even worse… you look towards the end after all the harsh trainings your gonna enjoy it… you need to hear all the successful idols trainee story.. is not easy.. that’s why westerner aren’t fit for k-idol life
FYI they are not kpop idol's they are a global girl group and and even if they were kpop idol's this could cause fetal issues with health for those idol's who endured the pain maybe they were strong

It is not easy to create a K-pop group. It always requires patience and bone-crushing pain. They may think this is abuse because their culture is completely different from here. That is why Westerners do not fit in with the K-pop sentiment. If they can't endure this much, they will never be able to do anything anywhere.
How can you say this about literally hearing of minors getting abused to the point of attempting suicide? If this is the industry, I can't support it any longer.
@hox6287 What do you think of Hollywood celebrities who are addicted to drugs? The entertainment world always has two sides, so there has to be sacrifice. If they can't endure it, they should live as ordinary people.
nobody 'thinks' it's abuse. it IS abuse. it's not a difference in culture, and either way that doesn't justify anything. this training system is toxic and disgusting and it always will be no matter what country does it. forcing minors to dance for 12 hours with a torn shoulder that's not healed, denying them basic rights such as water and food, and watching them with secret hidden cameras is not okay and it never will be. people like you who are saying these things and those who agree and disgusting and insane.
you’re talking about little girls who were abused. they were denied pay, surveilled in their private space, denied food and water. this is illegal and abuse in every culture. i cannot believe you are justifying a 14 year old girl attempting to commit suicide. jyp had a responsibility to care for children. children. and they abused them.
That's KG's side of the story you are presenting it as if it is the undisputed truth. Did Amber Heard-Johnny Depp not teach people don't just automatically believe one side?
Except everything she said is believable. Jay Park mentioned how they used to hit trainees when they forgot or messed up a choreography routine. Momo mentions how she could only drink water because they gave her a week to lose 5 pounds; if not, she wouldn't get to debut. All these past examples of JYPE being awful, but you want to second-guess what she said because a couple of years ago they mentioned having organic food and a personal therapist for their idols, thinking that they care; when in reality, it's just another way to control the idols. None of the big three plus BH are good companies, since it was always known K-pop companies like to control their idols' weight and food intake, and most female idols don't even menstruate due to being malnourished. JYPE lies about how they manage their idols' weight through organic foods and not by barely feeding them, which is as believable as the that no plastic surgery clause YGE has been pretending to implement, when most of its idols get work and fillers on their faces, like 90% of all idols. At least SME doesn't bother trying to hide that they're a trash company anymore.
BUT THINK ABOUT IT FR GUYS KG CROWN HAS A HUGE HISTORY OF MAKING SHIT UP FOR VIEWS SHE COULD JUST BE LYING AGAIN BC JYP HAS NEVER HAS ANY HISTORY FOR ABUSING HIS ARTIST IF HE DID TWICE AND ITZY AND OTHERS GROUPS UNDER HIM WOULD HAVE LEFT KG ALWAYS LEAVES WHEN THINGS DONT GO HER WAY
Or it could literally just be the fact that he 1. Isn’t over seeing this branch because remember the girls are working under the US branch of JYP not the Korean branch so he probably hasn’t see these girls in months and sent “trusted” staff to take care of them and 2. This is seen as normal in the kpop industry so maybe none of his other idols felt the need to complain about it because they were told it was normal by literally everyone else but here in America everyone knows this is wrong
Bruh yes they do, Twice members Jihyo and Momo were both body shamed. Jihyo in JYPE survival show sixteen (through which twice was formed)was called fat by photographer & told she had to lose weight & momo was told she could only debut if she lost 5kg in 7 days, she ate only ice cubes for a week & talked about how she was scared to go to sleep because she thought she would d*e. Itzy members have also shared how strict their diets were , that they were forbidden milk, bread etc. And ryunjin talked about “cheating” on her diet in secret by eating a watermelon…
@ people have a different idea of what abuse is in my eyes. If she did truly abused I’m sorry to hear, but what I’m saying people aren’t as tough as they was back then, now anything can be classed as abuse.
@@dodinik4466yes this is true, but they also have a choice to go to Korea. Nothing is easy and I’m against bullying or abuse of any sort, but my point is when you join these companies you know it’s not going to be a walk in the park.
Am not trying to justify what jype did to her.. but if you want to be a kpop idol you have to endure all of this … all the kpop idols went through this and even worse… you look towards the end after all the harsh trainings your gonna enjoy it… you need to hear all the successful idols trainee story.. is not easy.. that’s why westerner aren’t fit for k-idol life
Nah, this is justifying it. You’re basically saying “I know they were treated poorly but look at the end results” which is justifying it. Refusing to listen to medical advice, placing financial burden on them that they didn’t sign up for, abuse, self-harm, unaliving attempt, EDs, surveillance in what’s supposed to be a home… be real. That’s not okay and should not be normalised. We should use this news to look at other groups and fight for those still trapped with little to no way out. It’s not acceptable and never will be. Stop putting a multi-billion dollar company over the health and welfare of people, children in this instance!
@ their is this group, they are known globally, it’s said they weren’t paid for a whole year and half(first) take a look at bts…. They even perform on a rainy outdoor stage that’s shut down for their fans with getting paid most of the time. Suga had to take on the job of delivery guy for them to even eat.. but look at them NOW.. like I said, am not justifying at all just tryna point out the obvious here… all k-idols went through worst.. they even have a 2.5million house to live in… lots of idols share a rundown house(which they call a DORM) … like I said not justifying… the k-idol life is not for the week
What? Kpop has rotted your brains that you’ll justify abuse. That’s literally what idol training is, abuse. Just because all of them went through it doesnt mean it isn’t wrong.
How cruel can you be ? On top of being mistreated and abused she was also UNDER PAID AND YOU GUYS ARE TALKING ABOUT HANNI, YOU GUYS ARE SICK IN THE HEADS HOW WOULD U REACT IN THIS WILL YOU BE OK ??
People saying non-Koreans are weak for not being able to endure kpop training are ignorant to think their Korean idols aren’t feeling exactly the same as KG. You know your members who went on hiatus or left their groups for undisclosed reasons? They were probably abused to a point where their lives/health were at stake too. Some idols even committed suicide. This treatment is NOT normal, nor should it be considered normal. Idols should also not be put into slave contracts where they are forced into several hundreds of dollars of debt. Like a regular corporation, companies should hire people knowing that the person may or may not make the company money. Like, you don’t get a job at Starbucks and have to pay the company money to join.
agree, perpetuating the normalization of suffering helps no one
Koreans are actually insulting and threatening the victims. To Koreans, the safety and well-being of the victims are not important. We all know how difficult and miserable K-pop trainees are. But they never try to fix it because the image of K-pop is important because they can feel patriotism in their miserable lives.
Sometimes I wonder if twice, stray kids, itzy, or nmixx had to go through this same kind of treatment
Boy Story, Nexz, Niziu are also groups under JYPE

The sad part is on their social media the girls seemed so happy living the idol life and being able to travel and do interviews and photoshoots. They had to pretend everything was okay for the camera while behind the scenes being tortured.

facts
finally someone has said it.
Yes thank you! I just wish it was more specified about it being the USA branch and not the whole company
Just don’t yell at my Yeji and Lia….
We have child labor laws and these allegations surpass all of it
I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again maybe there should be age limit (like 18 years old) on when k pop companies can debut them.
What will they do at this point 😢
This is not only the company, there are other companies doing this in Kpop artists that either disband or commit taking their lives, because of peer pressure and unfair mismanagement. They need to change the laws and policies in South Korea for artists that work in Kpop or in the film industry. Instead appreciating their talents, they destroys their talents and dreams. SMH.
Sounds really harsh if one really wants to make big time, no wonder idols are so physically capable and rarely can be seen breathing heavy
It says, "JYP USA Inc., a stateside branch of billion-dollar K-pop company JYP Entertainment that’s delivered some of the scene’s most successful and internationally recognized artists, was sued in Los Angeles county court on Friday, December 6...."
KG even said, “I’d like to thank J.Y Park, company executives, and staff for believing in me and the exceptional training." I feel like the problem here was the JYPE branch in America.
YES I HOPE THIS IS PINNED people are using this as an excuse to hate the whole company and JYPark not just the people who actually were in the wrong
@Ventislyre143JYPark hold the company to certain standards and morals he expects of all his staff and idols alike so whoever the staff members who were abusing them I have no doubt will be punished
No, this is a problem that spreads throughout the K-pop industry in the first place.
I’m not disappointed because I knew something like this would happen.
(not saying it is right, but living in a dorm, long practice hours, practice with injuries, back forth from practice room and schools, diet, it is just something kpop have been doing all the time(that's why I don't really support debuting underage idols cause they are at the age where they are supposed to eat more to grow and to have enough rest time for their studies))
Does things have to be changed? Absolutely, but before that, the market have to change
Asians are really mean to ladies who are not thin that me, a size s in shein, need to buy a size L in china website and there is just so many times where I heard those aunties who I never meet talk about how I look dirty for a more tanned skin+fat lady.

The next western parent who allows their kid to go to Korea to join Kpop will have no one to blame but them self you all have been told.
i don't think its just that, after what happened to lia and yeji this is whole scope
@@Gleam-b2x Not sure what your trying to say but what happened to those two young ladies has already been swept under the rug and forgotten about. The laws in Korea protect the companies and the kids are bound by contracts that keep them quite.
@@Theoldonce bro lia literally just heal 🐧 its whole scope its not just about the location
Hanni (NewJeans) attendance at the National Assembly:
~When asked about respecting workers’ human rights at the National Assembly, ADOR’s current CEO responded by saying: « Artists are not considered workers. »~
Hanni: « I feel that if we respect each other as humans, at the very least, issues like workplace harassment and other sensitive matters wouldn’t exist. I’m so grateful for the attention you’ve given to this matter, and I truly hope that none of the seniors, peers, juniors, or trainees here have to worry about things like this. I’ve seen that many people are concerned for us, and I’m very thankful."
No 😞 Kaylee 😭. Vcha 🤦
Don't. Put too much pressu😢❤💔
Screen Actors Guild, MLB, NFL, NBA player associations, Unions,…. Maybe there needs to be an umbrella organization created by the SK Government to protect trainees.and Idols and they’re required to join when signing with an Entertainment Company.
Did you copy and paste this from the google doc a user made on the r/kpop subReddit because it has the same 14 points? Or I guess maybe you could be that user who did the summary of the 77 page lawsuit. If that’s you then thank you!
she said that she did in the video

Kaylee, made a new Instagram account with just one post sayinf shes leaving vcha for her mental health
STOP THIS CELEB GAME !!!
But did they get bowed 90 degrees?
What?
Sounds like college sports: put on muscle, or tone your body, diet, flexibility exercises, repay your scholarship if you leave, study is secondary to practice and play, don’t do any extracurricular activities that put you at odds with your sport, verbal abuse from the coach, curfews, …. College sports are even bigger than KPOP….the price you pay if you want to succeed?
I get your point, however what you are describing is equivalent to trainee years of Idol. When You are work is another thing, this is what You do for living. It's illegal to work this much as a child, plus it's not a regular diet, is literally not eating. Imagine collage sports being 17 hours a day. Imagine having unknowlingly a camera in your house. Imagine You add the internet and have everyone watching You play. Imagine not bring able to Say anything. Imagine not knowing the debt.
@@DoggieBeagle people sign contracts and need to adhere to signed contracts. Abuse is something else though…SK needs to have an overseeing authority for trainees and idols….
If you want to be a k-pop star you have to train like it first and be prepared to go through a lot of hard work.
yes you have to work hard but only to an extent, you cant go too extreme or it actually hinders your progress and saying its a part of korean culture means its normal but doesn't make it right
I agree.@@einaanna
@@Hannah-ss9zdI agree with you fully, people don’t understand every country is different and no one is perfect, but this is the same what everyone else had to go through I’m sure of it. I just hope the girls are okay
@@Hannah-ss9zdthese people won’t agree with you, but I see your point.
AND ALSO THERE IS NO PROOF OF ANYTHING
Girl she is SUING them. No lawyer would pick her case and sue and multi-million dollar company without proof. Please don't be this dense.
After seeing your other comments saying it might be fake I feel sick that people like u exist. Why would u sue a big company for temporary fame?
The parasocial relationship!!! I have been literally talking about this. They sell a delusional image more than music .
You are actually not a true person how could you such words imagine you went through the same situation I'm pretty sure you would literally just give up the same day
Normalizing this problem is part of the problem. It's like saying, well a kid who is 12 shouldn't be manipulated by old men in the internet, because they should know better. If You are naive enough well You deserved to be abuses.
Like really what un earth is wrong with You. We are talking about literal children binded THROUGH a contract they can't escape for 8 years. This are basically slave contracts.
And You are just saying "They should have know better'
@@irvinkinjea7877they are UNDER Korean company and the show FOLLOW their RULES. No one asked her to be part of that group especially when everyone knows how hard is it to be under Korean companies. She should blame herself only

treating people inhumanely = korean rules
thats why most idol even Jennie and Lia have mental illness issue
the camera thing was about making contents for their youtube channel lol...
Exactly !
nobody 'thinks' it's abuse. it IS abuse. it's not a difference in culture, and either way that doesn't justify anything. this training system is toxic and disgusting and it always will be no matter what country does it. forcing minors to dance for 12 hours with a torn shoulder that's not healed, denying them basic rights such as water and food, and watching them with secret hidden cameras is not okay and it never will be. people like you who are saying these things and those who agree and disgusting and insane.
you’re talking about little girls who were abused. they were denied pay, surveilled in their private space, denied food and water. this is illegal and abuse in every culture. i cannot believe you are justifying a 14 year old girl attempting to commit suicide. jyp had a responsibility to care for children. children. and they abused them.
That's KG's side of the story you are presenting it as if it is the undisputed truth. Did Amber Heard-Johnny Depp not teach people don't just automatically believe one side?
You do not need to be dickriding JYP this much dawg 😭😭😭🙏
BUT THINK ABOUT IT FR GUYS KG CROWN HAS A HUGE HISTORY OF MAKING SHIT UP FOR VIEWS SHE COULD JUST BE LYING AGAIN BC JYP HAS NEVER HAS ANY HISTORY FOR ABUSING HIS ARTIST IF HE DID TWICE AND ITZY AND OTHERS GROUPS UNDER HIM WOULD HAVE LEFT KG ALWAYS LEAVES WHEN THINGS DONT GO HER WAY
Don't with this fuckery how dare you say that we should be supporting her and for you to say that it's disrespectful and disgusting
And this has nothing to do with JYP this has to blame on JYPE (usa) KG didn't blame JYP at all
Or it could literally just be the fact that he 1. Isn’t over seeing this branch because remember the girls are working under the US branch of JYP not the Korean branch so he probably hasn’t see these girls in months and sent “trusted” staff to take care of them and 2. This is seen as normal in the kpop industry so maybe none of his other idols felt the need to complain about it because they were told it was normal by literally everyone else but here in America everyone knows this is wrong
u sound delusional af and too young to be yelling in youtube comments
Bruh yes they do, Twice members Jihyo and Momo were both body shamed. Jihyo in JYPE survival show sixteen (through which twice was formed)was called fat by photographer & told she had to lose weight & momo was told she could only debut if she lost 5kg in 7 days, she ate only ice cubes for a week & talked about how she was scared to go to sleep because she thought she would d*e. Itzy members have also shared how strict their diets were , that they were forbidden milk, bread etc. And ryunjin talked about “cheating” on her diet in secret by eating a watermelon…
The problem was she was too submissive...
She is a child, what is wrong with You. Probabily You are an abuser.
I agree with the reply. You are either an abuser or an abuser in making.

Not accepting abuse is soft ? Like ok, you little willing victim

@@dodinik4466yes this is true, but they also have a choice to go to Korea. Nothing is easy and I’m against bullying or abuse of any sort, but my point is when you join these companies you know it’s not going to be a walk in the park.

Oh but they're paid unlike kg is this jype in disguise
