Why is the korean netizens is fast on calling out and cancelling Idols who is involved in school bullying but turns to the other way when the company is the bully and the idol is the victim
because in Korea most kids in the public school system are also on that inhumane schedule -- both waking up and going to sleep in the early morning everyday, just to get through the education and not getting any payment or fame, so idols' complaints about having to work "too hard" are either ignored or criticized as tone deaf
Fans are not ready for idols to speak up as they call them brats snd liars but I admire all the idols that speak up about bullying, mistreatment and any kind of problems they face. They shouldn't just endure everything that the company put them through.
@@Dino-pk5hc do you honestly think these kids knew the extent of abuse they were walking into? Please use your brain. They are CHILDREN and obviously thought the adults around them would protect them.
yes true ,dark side korea or jpop industry never gone . struct diet being pretty all the time for me this is ok but mistreatment sexualiaze abuse is just soo unjustice for them
Man JYP USA entertainment can’t get out of this situation since they are going to spread lies to KG’s lawsuit, but seriously the K-pop industry has been bad in the first place many years ago and they never change I mean despite that I like K-pop songs, it’s very disappointing
So this is why "Idols" always look like they have not eaten in weeks. They always look famished, when food is shown. Bless their hearts. I hate that they must go through these vigorous and might I say, inhumane practices. I hope this suit brings about change.
The fact that Koreans accept slave labor and psychological abuse as NORMAL FOR THE KPOP INDUSTRY and that Americans are weak for not being able to endure it is so typical of the world we live in. It's bullying behavior and I expect nothing less than that from the Kpop industry and its fans. No one is weak for not wanting to endure abuse for their dreams. There is a difference between hard work and psychological torment, abuse, and manipulation. The system has been broken for a long time and every REAL Kpop fan knows that and hates that ... I think KG thought she was above what she clearly would know was the norm ... Maybe she thought she'd be treated better as an American ... It doesn't matter who you are. The Kpop system is about exploiting minors, making money, and they don't see them as anything other than assets they can exploit. The fact that they thought they could get away with it again just speaks to their confidence and arrogance. I feel bad for her and I hope she gets out of her contract. Chuu and so many others have fought and won but the industry will never change.
Scream it louder for the ones in the back please 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽. 100% with what you said! Thankfully she will more than likely win due to being a minor and 16 at the time of majority of the incidents. If she was under Korean law I don’t think she would have spoke out sadly.
I am Korean, and while some Korean netizens are genuinely concerned about her and think there is a problem with the Korean idol system, some believe that KG is American and doesn't fit in with the harsh Korean work environment. In other words, they don't find a problem, but as a Korean, I understand why the knets don't get it. Even if you are not a K-pop artist, most people in Korea are overworked to this extent, regardless of their job. Students sleep 4-5 hours a day and study even when there is no exam period, and office workers also work overtime until dawn. At first, I also wondered if this needed to be overreacted to this extent. However, I realized that Koreans were being severely overworked in the first place, and I felt awful for KG, who was experiencing it for the first time. I hope this incident will lead to improvements in the K-pop industry and the overwork of Koreans.
Well this isn't the first story an Idol who suffers these mistreatment from the Kpop Industry, at last she's speaking up about, I wish a lot of luck for KG and the rest of the members.
I promise the only reason she is speaking up in the first place is because she’s on her home turf. I promise if she was in Korea she would have sadly stayed silent. Two different sets of laws. And America often, more than not, side with minors in most scenarios when it comes to abuse. So I think she KNEW she could without backlash. But the laws in Korea are strange and don’t truly protect idols within the entertainment field.
She straight up exposed JYP. It's not surprising, back in the day, an English teacher of the Wonder GIrls was also pretty shocked how they were living in America. Sub par living conditions.
I don't know how any of this can be surprising or shocking to kpop fans. That's how this industry operates, unfortunately. Idols keep dropping hints about it here and there, this is just the first time someone speaks about it this openly. Wishing KG and the other members all the best.
Honestly I can't believe JYPE thought they could've gotten away with it. Korea and America are two different countries with two different laws and two different limits. In America we have child labor laws for a reason because of the past treatments of others celebrities especially children because they are at the most vulnerable. Compared to Korea, in their laws are still fall behind, especially with children and training. The some netizens criticize her, saying American kids aren't up for it and some other things. Honestly hopefully the American courts (more obviously) rule in her favor and Vcha favor. Then punishing the prepatraors who caused them harm.
That one thing about a member attempting to off during February shocked me. It was the time when they were performing at Twice’s concert late Feb and right after Kaylee went into hiatus while the others still performed😞😞
@@amylouise24xxyou don’t know that and also, why are you defending a multimillion Korean entertainment company who has done shady practices in the past?
@@amylouise24xx So KG is lying about the mistreatment? Industries in Korea are very abusive and toxic. How can she be lying when other Korean idols have said the exact same thing. I know she not Korean but it applies to other idols who have spoken about these issue that happen constantly it makes me believe you didn’t watch anything about A2K. Abuse, mistreatment , and more is very real so tell me now how can someone be lying about that? 😒 people like you make me sick I bet you support abuse and enjoy the pain of others don’t you?
Things like this make me happy when I heard KQ's CEO started treating their artists like Athletes and which exactly what they are with the dancing and singing that they do. The current training system of starving and dancing for hours on end has gone on for too long.
Tbh, I think treating them like athletes would yield much better results. They would become very healthy instead of being emaciated with severe health problems at a young age. All the exercise they do needs fuel, which is food. Running on empty is extremely dangerous. Idols who leave their companies usually look so much healthier afterwards. Because they can control their lives again.
If JYPE thinks they can bring their hrash and torture K-pop training to America and treat American like company's work sl. aves. without any consequences, JYPE better think twice.
You should think about twice if you want to be a Kpop Idol. Don't underestimate. Training system is harsh, painful and get less payment. Bullying idols from staff member is common in Korea. As foreigner, maybe more. They forced you to be a perfect Idol with no flaws. That how the real Kpop business works. It's sad.
So many idols had to sacrifice a lot in order to gain the fame they have right now. BTS came from a small company and had to work their way to get the global fame they have right now which took them more than 5 years. Jihyo had to sacrifice her entire childhood in order to become a K-pop idol and would soon become the leader of Twice and the main vocalist
The “training” methods these music industry companies utilize are similar to the ones often used by men to incapacitate women into staying in toxic relationships in domestic violence cases. They cut these idols off from all outside support systems by denying their families from visiting/talking to them, they keep them from seeking other career opportunities by keeping them out of school so they are financially reliant on the company indefinitely, and overwork/starve them to keep them docile. It’s abhorrent to think that working yourself like a dog is the key to success. I refuse to support this.
Hahaha,, the members' families visit the dorms at any time,, they visit the company at any time to talk and negotiate with the employees,,, the reason is that they need to receive payment due to controversies over breach of contract or various expenses such as performance issues,,, they need to pay for various documents even after debut,,, being swayed by these families is the reality of Korean entertainment companies,, the family brings a lawyer with them when signing contracts,, and most Korean women go on diets like idols do, and if K-pop idols gain more weight than regular women, it becomes really controversial,, Korean women will not forgive this,, If you don't know, don't speak,, stop making ridiculous claims,,
@@Real-ranchia Many idols' families live far from the capital where these companies are located, many idols (especially those from smaller companies) come from low-income families who cannot afford to travel constantly or even pay a lawyer, many idols are not supported in their careers by their parents and therefore they come to these companies without the supervision of a responsible adult, which the companies take advantage of to sign contracts with minors without a parent supervision, some parents take advantage of the incomes of their child carreer which let this Kids expose to abuse in the companies and their houses.

Funny of them to say that westerners don't fit well in the k-pop industry, when in reality, there are western idols. Despite being ethnically Korean, there are some that were born and raised in the West (so they probably have a more western mindset) and they succeed too.

2,,The claim that the high suicide rate of K-pop idols is due to abuse from the company // The period of severe oppression and control is when they are trainees, not after debut,,After debut, they are always busy and doing things in the first tier of male and female groups with good grades or popularity, and only a little busy with activities in the second tier,,the rest is very leisurely,,If an idol after debut is stressed or depressed, they can commit suicide because they are not popular and cannot make money,,but there are very few cases of suicide during their active years as an idol. This incident is very likely to go in an unfortunate direction. //First of all, this incident will not bring about change in the K-pop system and it will not change. The reason is that the current system is very successful and creates huge profits for idols and entertainment companies. Why would they want to change it???,,,, Since Korean trainees are doing well, it is expected that Korean entertainment companies will close their doors to foreigners from Western societies. There are currently growing voices like this in Korea.
If they are making them live in a specific home the company should pay the living expenses. Why would anyone want to work for free? ATP you would be better off working at Lowe’s.
Didn’t a member of UNIS faint on stage because she was too afraid of the consequences if she brought up to her staff that she wasn’t able to perform? I hate to break your kpop fantasy but yes, majority of companies mistreat their idols. Literally almost every company has in some way.
@@MANGIE1 nope, it’s not. And often done to manipulate said idols easier. A young adult or just an adult in general is more likely to pushback and combat against authority. A minor is too scared for their career and future they are often willing to accept the circumstances as are. It’s unfortunate.
2. The current K-pop system is clearly the opposite of this and is actually similar to a military organization. In fact, the K-pop idols that the general public sees are idols who were raised and promoted based on this. Let's assume that a certain entertainment company was greatly impressed and raised a girl group and a boy group under such a Western system and launched them. First, there are dozens of active girl and boy groups in the K-pop market. Girl groups in the Western system have to engage in bloody competition with them.
2-1. The place they are stepping on is a complete, thorough, and cold-blooded unrestricted free competition structure. What would a girl group in that Western system look like? ,,,their skills are seriously lacking,,because they haven't trained enough,,they can't sing and their dancing is a mess,,and as you can see from their thick waists, their bodies are obese,,because the company forbids them from dieting,,even their appearances are ordinary,,they don't look like idols at all,,,the next members often drop out in the middle,,,,because it's hard
2,,,Let's talk about the K-pop training system here.,,According to what I've heard, the company selects members based on the following three criteria,,,,1] is the minimum requirement and the candidates must pass this as an absolute standard,,,appearance, body, vocals, dance, personality, age, etc.,,,2] selects the best candidate,,3] selects the candidates according to the characteristics of the team and position,,, ,,,It's quite complicated like this,,,, They try to make a variety of talents, appearances, and age groups,,There are many cases where the most outstanding in appearance or skills are not selected,,,,,This is because they do not fit the team's personality,,,
If youre a forginer trainee in JYPE but is training for a non gloab group (so a kpop group) are u going to the korea jyp building or the US one where VCHA were?
2-1,,,It is hard to find someone who committed suicide during their trainee days,,However, there is an incident of a male trainee who is presumed to have committed suicide after being eliminated from the debut group,,The greatest stress or shock for a trainee is when they fail to debut and are pushed out in the middle,,Since trainees' goal is to debut, their motivation to commit suicide is very low,, If a trainee commits suicide, their psychology is unstable, so they are in the stage of giving up on lessons, and the company either eliminates them or drops out before that,,, If a trainee's mentality is ruined, they leave the company before that,,,, Among idols or celebrities, suicide is usually due to retirement from active duty, and is usually due to depression or panic disorder caused by losing popularity or criticism from malicious fans,,Goo Hara and Sulli This is typical
4,,,First of all, you need to know that K-pop sales are 2/3 of the total in Korea plus Asia,,and the distribution of fans is probably similar,,K-pop fans in the US and Europe come to their rescue, but their voices are weak,, K-pop fans are showing signs of boycotting them,,of course, their agency is in trouble.. A K-pop system based on Western values is not possible// 1,,,Currently, KG is suing their agency,,so K-pop is currently being attacked by people from the US and Europe,,,,then, would it be possible to solve this problem if a K-pop boy group or girl group based on Western values were created and promoted??? Let's start with the concept of Western values. A system that values human rights and prohibits abuse or control would be the best explanation.
KG was never on board from the beginning. You could tell by her pretending to be onboard using her poor acting skills during and after A2K. She was just playing along so she could gain media exposure, experience and take advantage of the training. Her perceptions are just plainly off and you can see examples of this borderline delusion in her work prior to joining JYP. JYP has fully supported KG and VCHA by giving them a chance at stardom and training that will benefit them through their careers in K-pop and beyond. I mean who else would fulfill their request to go on a real concert tour when they were not fully developed? Only JYP and with Twice members approval were they able to have their dreams come true. KG has made a grave mistake and the world should know the truth. As far as KG’s future, her distorted perception of reality will determine whether she will be successful or not. And Karma will be there too.

because in Korea most kids in the public school system are also on that inhumane schedule -- both waking up and going to sleep in the early morning everyday, just to get through the education and not getting any payment or fame, so idols' complaints about having to work "too hard" are either ignored or criticized as tone deaf
this! its the weird way they'll protect new jeans when they didnt suffer any mistreatment but turn a blind eye to kg who suffered for real
Fans are not ready for idols to speak up as they call them brats snd liars but I admire all the idols that speak up about bullying, mistreatment and any kind of problems they face. They shouldn't just endure everything that the company put them through.

@@onetwothree8359it’s more than just diet, it’s basically an eating disorder

Love the girls. Hope they will achieve justice. This is terrible.

Fyi, these girls live in a mansion. As for wonder girls, jype wasn't ANYTHING then. Just saying.
I respect KG for doing a lawsuit & JYP sounds like a slavery and bullying institution
She’s a minor. She’s gonna win lol 😂 there is no way she wouldn’t. Especially when most of the incidents occurred when she was 16.
JYPE most likely have violated labor laws in California because the state has some of the strongest labor laws in the US.
That one thing about a member attempting to off during February shocked me. It was the time when they were performing at Twice’s concert late Feb and right after Kaylee went into hiatus while the others still performed😞😞

So many idols had to sacrifice a lot in order to gain the fame they have right now. BTS came from a small company and had to work their way to get the global fame they have right now which took them more than 5 years. Jihyo had to sacrifice her entire childhood in order to become a K-pop idol and would soon become the leader of Twice and the main vocalist
omg! under 1 minute!! i luv ur videos!!
I have no idea who these are until now.
Hahaha,, the members' families visit the dorms at any time,, they visit the company at any time to talk and negotiate with the employees,,, the reason is that they need to receive payment due to controversies over breach of contract or various expenses such as performance issues,,, they need to pay for various documents even after debut,,, being swayed by these families is the reality of Korean entertainment companies,, the family brings a lawyer with them when signing contracts,, and most Korean women go on diets like idols do, and if K-pop idols gain more weight than regular women, it becomes really controversial,, Korean women will not forgive this,,

Low,,This is said to be similar to the suicide rate of the general public.
The reason why debuted idols are busy is because they make a lot of money, and in fact, there are almost no suicides in popular groups that make a lot of money, and those in other groups are probably depressed.. Even if they commit suicide, the reason is not abuse,,
Something in my gut when I first discovered them told me that this group will face issues and something bad might or will happen.

It’s the fact that she’s a minor that bothers me most. Children need to be protected.
Not all K-pop companies are the same. For example, F&F is a new company, and their first girl group is UNIS. They don’t treat their artists this way.
Yet....
But debuting a bunch of minors is not really a good idea
Didn’t a member of UNIS faint on stage because she was too afraid of the consequences if she brought up to her staff that she wasn’t able to perform? I hate to break your kpop fantasy but yes, majority of companies mistreat their idols. Literally almost every company has in some way.
@@MANGIE1 nope, it’s not. And often done to manipulate said idols easier. A young adult or just an adult in general is more likely to pushback and combat against authority. A minor is too scared for their career and future they are often willing to accept the circumstances as are. It’s unfortunate.
Even fifty fifty came from a new company so remove that spirit of stanning companies out of ur system and stan idols only

Thats how you should handle disputes regarding disagreement with the company as an artist. Not just some empty talk in youtube
7:28 that’s because mistreatment and abuse is “hush hush” in Korea!
Never heard of them.
I dont get what tf did they expect from the kpop trainee world
😬 I bet the new trainee in South Korea has it even worse. Vcha is an international group and this is how they are treated.
Finally, K-pop industry and culture in full detail. :(
I’m thinkin Kaylee is the one who attempted… This honestly breaks my hears. She’s so young. All of them are.
2,,,Let's talk about the K-pop training system here.,,According to what I've heard, the company selects members based on the following three criteria,,,,1] is the minimum requirement and the candidates must pass this as an absolute standard,,,appearance, body, vocals, dance, personality, age, etc.,,,2] selects the best candidate,,3] selects the candidates according to the characteristics of the team and position,,,
,,,It's quite complicated like this,,,, They try to make a variety of talents, appearances, and age groups,,There are many cases where the most outstanding in appearance or skills are not selected,,,,,This is because they do not fit the team's personality,,,
If youre a forginer trainee in JYPE but is training for a non gloab group (so a kpop group) are u going to the korea jyp building or the US one where VCHA were?
I just knew it would end up like this...
Non-Asians won't understand the KPop training system.
2-1,,,It is hard to find someone who committed suicide during their trainee days,,However, there is an incident of a male trainee who is presumed to have committed suicide after being eliminated from the debut group,,The greatest stress or shock for a trainee is when they fail to debut and are pushed out in the middle,,Since trainees' goal is to debut, their motivation to commit suicide is very low,,
If a trainee commits suicide, their psychology is unstable, so they are in the stage of giving up on lessons, and the company either eliminates them or drops out before that,,, If a trainee's mentality is ruined, they leave the company before that,,,,
Among idols or celebrities, suicide is usually due to retirement from active duty, and is usually due to depression or panic disorder caused by losing popularity or criticism from malicious fans,,Goo Hara and Sulli This is typical
Jyp is starting it's nonsense, Thank God she is not afraid to speak up, Jyp, this is wrong and they know it
4,,,First of all, you need to know that K-pop sales are 2/3 of the total in Korea plus Asia,,and the distribution of fans is probably similar,,K-pop fans in the US and Europe come to their rescue, but their voices are weak,,
K-pop fans are showing signs of boycotting them,,of course, their agency is in trouble.. It's because they've already invested a lot of money to develop the team,,,the company is facing a management crisis,,the members are full of complaints because the income isn't coming in,,,K-pop idols have huge maintenance costs,,so this is a fatal blow,,,
This is inhumane and arguably slavery….this shouldn’t be normalised anywhere in the world
No it’s not inhumane slavery. Kpop trainees need to train for long hours to be an idol

The reason why K-pop style training isn't a problem in Korea //
1,,,K-pop trainees In severe cases, they have to practice for 14 hours a day,,but this is similar for students studying or ordinary people working at a company,,,Korea is a country with strong labor intensity,,,,It may be shocking to you, but to Koreans, the life or daily life of these K-pop trainees is actually average,,,,First of all, no entertainment company in Korea will debut them without such high-intensity training,,The reason is that they invested a huge amount of money to launch them in the first place.
Wonder if republic records can make a new contract with the girls outside of Korea
2,,,if you're angry about K-pop, fine,,,just block it!!!,,then that's it,..not rejecting K-pop but voluntary consumption = acceptance of the K-pop system,,I hope you act according to your conscience
Cut off all interest in K-pop and Korea,,then the anger and distress you're experiencing now will completely disappear,,it's so easy,,,it's so easy,,why can't you do it???,,
Hiatus? From what? 😂😂
2,,Let's point out the negative factors that VCHA has,,1]The members are young in their teens There are 2 of them,,Americans never tolerate idols at a young age,,,2] Lack of skills,,, especially vocal ability,,the American music market especially values this,,3] Racial asymmetry = They have to match the racial ratio of American society to avoid criticism,,in other words, there have to be 2 pure white people..4] Excessive Asian ratio,,2.5 out of 6 members, but Asians in America only make up 8%,,,4] Even after they officially released their debut song, the Americans showed a lukewarm response,,
Everyone showing love to vcha now but used to hate them #fakelove
And I thought JYPe was a good company... What is Jay Y Park doing about this situation? Why would he do the A2K Project if he just neglects VCHA.
A K-pop system based on Western values is not possible//
1,,,Currently, KG is suing their agency,,so K-pop is currently being attacked by people from the US and Europe,,,,then, would it be possible to solve this problem if a K-pop boy group or girl group based on Western values were created and promoted??? Let's start with the concept of Western values. A system that values human rights and prohibits abuse or control would be the best explanation.
What's the obsession with skinny body in korea
The whole world is obssessed with skinny body these days.
Especially fat body does not make dance line look good.
Many of the allegations she is making do not even refer to abuse towards her, but towards her fellow members, where one of them tried to commit su**cide. Unless you want VCHA to be the first international kpop group with a member who committed su**cide (joining the long list of idols in this situation) your comment is stupid.
@@gial5338 your comment is stupid because you do not know the truth.
Hani of NewJeans said she was abused because someone said 'ignore her' which nobody has been able to verify.
At the moment, it is just KG saying perhaps to get out of contract just like NewJeans.
KG is so brave for speaking up against a massive company with çh0k sucking fans who will defend there every move because they’re fav group(s) are apart of the company, I can’t imagine being 16-17 being a €500k in debt and going through and witnessing all that must’ve been really hard especially on minor, hoping KG will win this lawsuit and free the members of vcha, just because this type of treatment is normal in Korea doesn’t make it right nor should we spread this type of treatment into other countries. NO ONE AT ANY AGE SHOULD BE TREATED LIKE THIS NO MATTER WHERE UR FROM.
Like this comment if ur here under an hour
kaylee also left jype btw and vcha
Kaylee attempted suicide, this is horrible.
This is a highly competitive industry. It is not just kpop. The entertainment business anywhere around the world is tough. Fame and fortune comes to only a few. Most will fail and fall by the wayside. VCHA girls had a shot at fame and fortune with the backing of JYP. They should have toughed it out and taken that ride with the backing of JYP.
personally I'm not standing with KG on this, something about this seems suspicious to me, sorry but this was just out of nowhere and random, like why is she throwing around allegations suddenly if JYP is saying they are false or certain things are being exaggarated?
I want to condemn the unscrupulous behavior of K-pop haters// 1,,,In the eyes of Koreans, the current K-pop is not that much of a problem
,,,that's what the Western society claims,,just boycott K-pop and block viewing,,we make it under our standards,,are you making K-pop??,,,no,,you don't even spend money on K-pop,,,
Less than a day group
👇
3,, Are K-pop idols exploited by the company?? // Popular idol groups earn a huge amount of money compared to the intensity of their labor,, They earn hundreds of times more than ordinary office workers,, So they are not exploited or exploited,, On the other hand, unpopular idols hardly do any work, take a few lessons or practice, and then spend most of their time playing,,.. I assume that unpopular idols have a lot of complaints, because they can't make money even after becoming idols,,
Please tell me clearly what happened to them lG and Vcha .....I want to apply audition...I like jyp Korean entertainment...😢not USA jyp... there's no place that is safe for women...how we handling the time , our presence of mind will play crucial role...so clearly tell me what happened and about jyp
After seeing this I feel hybe is far better in managing katsye
Damnn jyp drop real quick before 2025
The reason why K-pop idol groups dominate the international music market except for the United States //
1,,K-pop is unrivaled,,,,especially in the group singer sector,,,,the reason is that Koreans have excellent mental and physical qualities,,,the next is that K-pop's idol training system/Korean entertainment companies' industrial structure is excellent,,and Koreans are very challenging and proactive about their goals,,
2,,,The main characteristic of the K-pop training system is that it is very pressuring and controlling, and those who pass the process without fail have very excellent abilities,,,only these people are allowed to debut,,,
That is why K-pop dominates the group singer sector of the music market,,not everyone can become a K-pop idol, only the best are allowed
