This is a pretty awesome Star Wars game. It’s much like Rogue Squadron. All missions completed, including the bonus ones. Not all gold medals. Most stages were done under the gold medal time requirement but lacked in hit accuracy.. so an all gold medal run wouldn’t have changed the footage all too much except for me shooting a little less frantically. Opening sequence had to be muted as it’s popular for blocking mobile viewership. Rest of the video surprisingly came out copyright free, yay! So no 100 ads being spammed by the copyright holders :)
One thing I really appreciate about Battle for Naboo is that it fixes one of the biggest flaws of The Phantom Menace: that we DONT get to see the impact the Trade Federation invasion is having on the people of Naboo. In the movie, they just strut into Theed completely unopposed as a show of force and are made into scrap metal every time they come across the heroes, and we only get very brief glimpses of the civilians. Sure, theres a blockade and people are taken into camps, but the effects are all offstage. Aside from the big ground/space battle at the end, the movie expects you to read between the lines or take Gunray and Sio Bibbles word for it that the Naboo are dying. In this game, we outright get to see the impact theyre having on the planet. They arent playing around or operating on "Gunboat Diplomacy" to show up the Republic, theyre flat out committing mass genocide on a virtually helpless population (it says a lot that even the Battle Droids come off as a genuine threat, since theres no Jedi on hand to clean em up, and theres no chance of the civilians trying to reason with what amounts to an entire army of Terminators) and forcing any survivors into slavery, and all purely out of greed! The TF are spelling out that they are not bluffing--mess with them, and youll get plowed over, but even if you dont mess with them, they really dont care about who lives or dies anyway. The bottom line is all that matters to them. The fact that Theed is completely empty of civilians during "Panakas Diversion" shows us this without flat out saying it (whereas in the first mission, you had the option to rescue some civilians from the droids). I know this game isnt considered canon anymore, but it really sold me on the stakes the movie was trying to convey and helped contextualize its events: Naboo is on the brink, and (as far as the few stragglers like Gavin know) theres no knight in shining armor coming to save them from this invasion, so they have to fight tooth and nail with what they can find just to survive as long as they can.
played this on PC in my childhood. One of the best Star Wars games I've ever played. Its very sad that they did't do this type of star wars games anymore

n64 had excellent star wars games... rogue squadron, shadows of the empire(my fav), episode 1 racer and this battle for naboo..

Feels much like the Rouge Squadron game, as I can tell this used the same game engine.
The engine is totally reworked from SW:RS.....
They sacrificed a bit of texture detail in favor of unlimited draw distance and better framerate.
Impressive for the N64, looks almost as good as an early PS2 or GameCube game, not quite, but it looks like they pushed the N64 as far as it could go.
Played it in 2001. Might play it again :)
They definitely made the music with the Rogue Squadron *2* program, rather than the Rogue Squadron *1* program.
This game pushes the N64 to its limits, in terms of sound and graphics theres not much beyond this.

Fully accurate, except it might show slowdown in areas it’s not supposed to and vice versa. Inconsistent framerate would appear on hardware too
