- It’s easy to feel anger and sadness when we don’t understand why people do the things that they do, and Venerable Thubten Kunga shares her own journey in scaling this misunderstanding. Using examples from the book “Strangers In Their Own Land”, she shares real-life examples of complex people who can’t be pigeonholed as either “good”, “bad”, “right”, or “wrong”. She describes the common mental barriers that keep us from feeling compassion for individuals and whole groups of people who think differently than we do in orde to help bridge the divide.
