I love the silhouette of the Mirror 1. The “thumb choil” is a small touch, but gives it such a unique flavor.

Yeah. I prefer asymmetrical blades for both visual and tactile identification of the blade edge. I've cut myself on spear point knives before by pulling it out and pressed my thumb directly into the blade side thinking it was the spine side.

Using an ambi lock and ambi thumb studs and then not having a swappable clip is such a weird choice lol
It’s like they’re following trends without understanding function.
European knife makers refuse to put reversible clips on their knives, even with fully ambi locks. Boker, Viper, MKM brands, they all hate lefties.

The Viper Vale was a great price, but the action on mine has taken a lot of work to get decent. The branding on everything is just gross on what are nice designs otherwise…

I saw this "new locking system" many years ago on Carson Tech Exorcist.
Ya another crossbar lock that you can’t flip the clip on…cmon even benchmade makes most of their stuff ambi. Cold steel uses clips that follow the contour of the handle and they just include an extra clip 🤷🏻♂️ if you don’t want to add the cost in for the people who don’t care about it offer it as a purchasable option but put a filler in there or something so I can have it on the left. Even if your not a lefty lots of people carry 2 knives and being able to carry an otherwise ambi knife the correct way in the left pocket is still a plus.

The first one reminds me of my Kaiser Escort Brulp with clutch lock I changed out the studs for red studs

Ranger is the best knife design on the table with worst steel... 😔
I really wish that they would focus on the quality of the heat treat. Especially on these Italian made Magnacut blades. The internet is rife with reports of the Italian manufacturers running their steels too soft. Magnacut at 89-90 HRC is a completely different animal than Magnacut at 92-93 HRC.
Are these typos or do your really think those numbers are realistic? And no, there are a few TH-cam knife influencers show started this whole thing and repeat each other.

Yours is, uh, Viper from, eh, China.
And you probably mean Viper-Tec anyway…
You could easily look at their logo here and yours and readily tell the difference.

Viper needs to calm down with the branding and remove the knife name altogether. Italian makers in general need to thin up their geometry a bit too. There are several knives I've turned away from buying for these reasons.

David should always remind the viewers that these cross-bar thieves are not selling their own creation, since the idea gestated at Benchmade.
The patent has expired, they are not stealing.
By that logic he should always remind everyone that the pocket clip introduced by Spyderco, frame locks were introduced by Chris Reeve, David Boyd introduced the Boyd Dent.
Intellectual property is a face. You can't "steal" ideas.
