Jewish Music Toronto I love them all! learning another language is a challenge to me; it took me a while to learn Hava Nagila...what helped me to learn most, was having the lyrics in a phonetic form and finding a version sung by Harry Belafonte! lol he sang the song slowly enough for me to follow along. I love listening to the cantors online because there are none available in my area (southwest Virginia!); scripture was meant to be sung; it is giving back the gift of breath that was given to us! I thank you for sharing your gift with those willing to learn; it matters!
Warlanda Have you seen the JMT lesson for Hava Nagila yet? Or, perhaps, watched the movie? It's on Netflix, actually. I little slow to start, but very, very informative.
That's VERY kind of you! You're not the first person who has suggested I do that. Perhaps I'll have to do another Kickstarter to make that happen! In the meantime, I hope you'll subscribe. I have a feeling that if you really enjoyed my voice, you might like this concert video from last year as well - th-cam.com/video/8fdu5FD9UjM/w-d-xo.html All the best!
