Love the new Saddler fight. My problem with RE games is I find a lot of them have mediocre final bosses, but for me it’s joined Mr X, Norman & Mother Miranda as final bosses I genuinely enjoy
Agreed I also love his lines while your fighting him. Stuff like "you require absolution! Or "Obey your father" while your fighting him in a more interesting set piece arena are great stuff..
mother miranda‘s fight mechanic wise is awesome. just wishing she got a different visual design. Mr x is on point

Eveline is the worst final boss in Resident evil. It's just a giant blob of a head that you shoot multiple times to kill while your character is lying down on the ground and cannot move. Re 6 has some great final bosses like haos and ustanak, too bad the game doesn't feel like a resident evil game.
Whenever standard enemies attempt to grab you, you can crouch in order to avoid the grab. I love the standard enemies so much because all of their attacks can be blocked or dodged, a nice reward for a skilled player.

Gigante Duo isn’t bad at all. If it bothers you - don’t use the door. Both can be killed normally. The armored one is vulnerable on the lower half of his head.
It's still valid to have a negative opinion about them though.
The remake ones are also easier here than in the og. You don't get Luis helping you making both of them attack you at once.
@@Xenorvya Its okay not to like that fight ofc. Personal preference and all that. Half of the dudes issue with the fight is that he finds using the doors annoying. You can just not use them though. I didn't my first time through. Plus you lose out on a treasure if you do use them
It’s a pretty irrelevant fight, it comes down to just getting the normal giant down the hole. After that it’s pretty much over
I feel proud to beat the game on assisted. Enjoyed every second....definitely struggled a lot though. Especially early.
I really enjoyed the new Saddler boss fight, easily one of the best final RE bosses imo. Verdugo was also cool, I forgot if we was that resilient to damage in the OG but it took alot to kill him. Krauser was also a highlight, I remember having trouble with him in the OG until I started trying to fight him primarily with my own knife, and the parry combat in the remake was so much fun. Loved the remake, definitely going to replay the OG again soon.
I believe the Verdugo was an even bigger bullet sponge in the original. But ye that thing in the remake is still damn near immortal if you aren't hitting it while frozen, took me an entire magnum clip 2 grenades, 5 kicks, and around 30 shotgun shells, all while frozen, to down him on professional.
@DakonBlackblade2 yeah, I was surprised when he survived after I ran out of freezes, I had to use my magnum ammo to finish him off. I have not done professional yet, nor have I started replaying the OG yet. Should I replay the OG in professional or normal btw?
@@thefraser5131 The difficulty is not too bad, it's hell for speedrunning while going for S+ (can't save more than 15 times total), but for a regular NG playtrough its fun.
I'd do the OG on professional, but I just love playing everything on the highest possible difficulty everytime, so take my advice with a grain of salt

The Armaduras were my some of my favorite enemies in the game.. including Leon's super cheesy line after defeating a group of them "Nighty Night..Knights" 😅

That dual garrador fight was insanely difficult on an already hard run. Hardcore was rough but so satisfying. Great video I agree with your entire list, great watch and great cat too!
With upgraded first sniper rifle it's actually quite manageable even on professional difficulty.
Even if Salazar is still arguably on the weaker side of major bosses, the fact it's that much better than one of the worst fights in the original game is the most impressive part of the remake for me.
I disagree about the double El Gigante fight for one reason: You don't have to kill the unarmoured one with the lava. Makes it much more enjoyable when you just dump damage into it to kill it.
I did it with the lava first time and then unloaded the second so I can keep the treasure

I will say I kept loving how in the duel garrador fight, whenever they heard something the music would flare up and they would slice through the zealots. It made the whole fight feel like a Three Stooges bit.

I took that part of the video as a joke, was it not reasonably obvious what the one liner means? The one liner is referring to Saddler constantly saying Leon would receive the Holy body (whatever that actually is). But Leon put a hole in his body, with a (quasi-)spear, that's the joke (I found it funny).

Also first time I was doing the new Saddler fight, he broke a part of the walkway I happened to be standing on at the time, and instantly killed me

Think the duo gigante fight was good, and way better than the OG. The OG results in running to the ladder, then rappelling down and shooting, running back, rinse and repeat. The remake gigante is much more engaging.
No enemy pisses me off more then the metal shield guys, the face huggers, the bugs, and any enemy that throws molotovs.

For the Duo Gigantes, I just DPSed the unarmored one super hard and it died quickly. They have lower health than in the first Gigante fight with the dog. Just shoot their back parasite with your rifle (preferably a highest-damage bolt-action), and it's over quite quickly for that one. Positioning is the only tricky part. Only shoot when you'll have time to run from charges afterwards. Also, it's a good time to take your scope off of your rifle.
I literally 2 shot both of those gigante plagas with a maxed bolt action with exclusive on hardcore

I died so many times on the double Garrador fight 😂. My favourite was the Krauser fight, i liked how you had to work through the trapped landscape before the final fight. I found it very atmospheric

They could have used the J'avo as examples for the Novistadors in the remake. Like a bug head, wings and bug arms with human legs could have been SCARY. Maybe have that be a more advanced stage Novistador

Do you guys encounter some glitches from Krauser? I encountered one when I played professional where he doesn't stop spamming his knife. Normally when you parry enough, he eventually staggers. But in my gameplay, he never stops, not even after getting killed like 3 times. Although I've managed to beat him but spamming his knife like that is nearly impossible to get close.
Something I just realized is that the regenerates have multiple parasites just like a character who can also regenerate in the parasyte the maxim manga/ anime( the manga came out years before Re 4).
That part of El Gigante duo part, I agree 100% with you in that Luis makes the fighting experience terrible. However, I bet you 100 bucks that if that were Sheva, the Sheva haters would be making videos and memes one after the other crapping on Sheva. Sad really...
You actually can take all the dual garrador zealots silently, just fight them with a knife or crossbow
Krausers grapple with his right arm gave me an aneurysm. The pimp slap I could deal with but he chain grappled me a ton of times which became tiresome.
If you see it coming you can crouch and he won’t grab you, I did it on accident lol
Simplifying the last boss arena was a good call. The environmental stuff you could do to him wasnt needed and the bridge fall thing was fairly awkward
I can't give #1 to anything other than the regeneradors, they terrify me at 27 as much as they did at 9 years old.
Never knew you could parry Garradors and Armaduras. Just kinda assumed the attacks were too heavy to parry. That would make the double Garrador room a lot easier in my past 4, or so, runs.
You'd be surprised what you can parry by just trying it out. Parrying the Regenerator arm slaps kinda makes worthless enemies, but it's super satisfying to cut them off.
What unnerves me about the Verdugo and Regeneradors *is* the sounds. It’s less the sight of them but the fact I hear them but I don’t know where they are.

When it comes to the double garrador room I'm not sure if it was easier or not seeing as how many times I lost my stealth, but I cleared out every enemy in that room with the bolt thrower and then got to 1 v 2 the garadors, very fun encounter.
In the Ashley part, I didn't realize the lamp had blue light that would stun the enemies. So I played that part extra stealthy. Also it was on hardcore, so it was a good and tense experience.

Definitely would have placed the Warlock Zealot rock bottom. They’re bullet sponges, making them way too difficult to stun before they stun you, then you get instant killed by one of the Maw Plagas. Fun.

A quick and easy way to kill saddler is to buy a rocket launcher from the merchant right before the boss activate the boss fight equip the rocket laucher shot it at saddler that will one shot him into the second phase then on the second phase dodge the arms unload on his eyes until he has ptsd in he'll from that moment then grab ada's launcher and kill him.
So on my 1st play through, I was on hardcore cause of course I'm an OGRE4 fan... When I was Ashley I never knew I could freeze the armor with The lantern so I got that trophy for not using it at all lol. Also died about 5 Times As well
I'm pretty sure it's easier to just kill the unarmored gigante on every difficulty than trying to coordinate it over the lava door. I just kill it on Pro and then use Luis and the lava to kill the armored one.
Especially with the bolt action. It takes like 3 or 4 shots on the plaga with maxed stats. Even on pro, that thing is a boss slayer lol
You can’t parry grabs but you can just crouch and they don’t do anything
They could give us a Del Lago fight but as a proper boss fight , lets say first the harpoons and then Fighting him on the ground as he tries to eat you . Its a shame they did not do something more considering he was fully modeled wich is a lot of time for the Devs to make and they gived us only 4 minutes :D but i completely understand that they had to play it as the Original
the double el gigante fight becomes trivial with one flashbang and some brain usage, specially when the las plagas is out, any of them can be instakilled easily, also, just shot them and dont use the trapdoor...
The remake is great and that infinite rocket launcher is so good, love this remake. Although IM SICK OF GETTING COMBO'D IN A GODDAM CORNER.
The bull on the island uses an auto crossbow flywheel nerf gun thing, not a gun

I guess the one thing I didn't like about Krauser is about how the knife does nothing to him now. In the OG, it basically was the main strategy if you wanted to kill him fast, and weapons would waste a lot of your ammo. It kinda felt like you were paying him back with the same weapon he disliked. In the remake, you basically do no damage with the knife and guns are an immediate "you win" card. I like parrying in the fight, and how you can't parry every attack, but I wish the knife had a more central role to that fight and could still be viable to taking him down without spending 5+ minutes doing so. Still better than the OG.
Oh I had an absolute blast defeating Krauser with just knives. It's just how designed around the knife combat system he is that makes it all the more fun for me to just use knives and QTEs on him, like he does at you himself. Yeah the knife can't kill him fast like it did in the original game... but I still loved the fight
@Alexander Nickaboine The only bad part about fighting him knife only is his unblockable backhand. He loves spamming that and it's had to dodge it.
Everyone's hating on Del Lago. They definitely should have modified it in the remake for sure, though it was pretty cool in the original (tedious on multiple playthroughs).
If you only use your knife you can skip having a crap ton of zealots attack you while in the dual garrador fight.
Ok. So final thoughts.
I agree that the game is absolutely kino basically a masterpiece.
It might be said I’m fanboying and not being critical but I don’t care.
The only flaw I’ve found so far (played on standard and a few chapters into hardcore)
The literal only flaw so far is not letting me pet the Best Boy after he helps you with El Gigante.
That said (and still maintaining you wrong for putting Del Lago last)

I would place the Iron Maiden’s pretty low, possibly lower than el gigante as it is as annoying to deal with as a regenerator but they have a really annoying needle attack even as it dies.
You can parry the needle explosion so that'll help minimise damage
You don't have to lure either of the giants to the lava pool. That's just an "easier" way to kill them.
You can kill the one that's focusing you, and by that time in the game with your weapons you shouldn't have a problem.

i wish the novistadores where more creepier too, their concept art is better, you can see how the human skull is poped inside out where the parasite came off to take its insect head, hope one modder can make that a reality
Their introduction was way better in the OG, since we first meet them in their invisible variant which was way tougher than any other novistadors.They could take like 3 shotgun blasts sometimes.Now they die with 3 shots from a blacktail...

Yeah the fish is the hardest one in harder difficulty because you cannot use any special weapons. You just have to be able to aim well and dodge just as good.

Mind giving examples? I think duo Garradors are the hardest enemies, I ranked them high. I think Del Lago is mostly a joke, I ranked it lowest. Other than that most enemies aren't really difficult.

Doing the s+ professional run atm and el gigante is an absolute piece of shit lol. You can be running full speed in a straight line away and he will just grab you anyway, real shitty with the minimal healing you get, and he barely gives you time to aim at all. So far that was the least fun I had, even worse than the cabin.

Krausers final fight is kinda aids on pro. his grab is pretty cheap too since ducking it is super inconsistent. Apart from that hes pretty fun to perfect parry and kick in the face
Yeah that grab is insane, it’s literally luck if you dodge it but I found strafing instead of ducking worked more
@@SaabTheFox yea strafing stuff is good, also it’s crazy how much easier he is if you have a magnum. Both are amazing at destroying him as a shot or two will down him, then you can get 2-3 more headshots then kick then shoot him another 2ish times. Will be dead before you know it
