Couple things. 1. People that swear have higher levels of integrity / are more trustworthy than those that don’t, and tend to be slightly more intelligent- just FYI. Best to get your kids started early. 2. No one would ever strap themselves to an aircraft with their belt, that’s obviously complete bs. There are PRTs or MARS “gunners” harness systems for that, and they wouldn’t be near an opening without one. Riggers rarely ride along unless they’re jumping themselves or attached via an authorized method. You can’t depart otherwise. They’d never be leaning out of the aircraft unless they’re a jump master and had a T or MC series parachute on. For everything else with an opening in the aircraft including heavy drop, it’s only properly secured essential crew up and moving about.
Survival On Purpose I was in a bad mood when I wrote this, but thanks for the reply. I saw the blurb on the belt maker’s website about riggers strapping themselves in with it. I think they just accidentally got some bad info from somewhere.
Looks to be a fine belt. Good review. Thank you, Bryan. I enjoy videos of this kind.

I have never been in the military but I tend to agree with you. I just know these have been called "Rigger's Belts" as long as a I can remember.

Are you able to bend the belt at all ? I'm looking for a stiff belt like this to use as a duty belt.
Great short review
It's been enough to be worn but is definitely stiff enough to use as a duty belt
i gotta ask cuz I'm a new in this but what is the D-ring for in the belt?
TO allow the belt to be used as a safety harness or repelling aid in an emergency
How much Velcro is on the belt from 12 o'clock to 3 o'clock?
Is flap long enough to go through the 3 o'clock loop?

I don't remember and I gave the belt away.
Love the belt, hate the company. It's a shame because johns employees make some quality stuff.
