Hi from Buenos Aires, Argentina. When I make broth I do not add onions nor garlic. That way I can use all the solids other than the bones to feed my dog. He loves them I run my fingers down the bones pulling whatever meat is left on them, and "fish " the veggies out after about 90 minutes, Put the bones back and continue simmering to extract as much out of the bones as possible and then process the broth just as you. I turn the solids into a paste with an immersion blender Place the paste with a little bit of broth in ice cube trays. These become frozen treats for my dog He loves licking them till they disappear. They are very cooling and summer. He loves them year round. This way all parts get eaten and I just throuw the bones.
You can actually process the bones into a paste once they are soft enough, and add this to his food. Provides lots of extra protein and calcium and ensures nothing gets wasted.
Number 551 to like the video...after I shared and now commenting. Also... Becky can I give you a couple of suggestions? 1. I take pictures of my shelves upstairs so that when I forget what I need upstairs, I have a reminder...lol. 2. During garlic season.. I take a massive amount of garlic bulbs... cut off the bottom like you did her, but then take a cookie sheet, line it with parchment paper, spray it with your oil of choice...it must be a small thin layer. Then put cut side down on paper. Roast it 30 minutes. Take it out. Squeeze each clove onto your dehydrator sheets. Season with some salt and pepper. At this time you can cut the big cloves as the smaller something is, dries faster. My family puts up with onions and garlic smells just as long as I make a bunch every year. I have done it for 5 years so far and I have always run out. 3. Last thing that I always do is I water bath can my lemon and other citrus juices. My whole family has done this and we are still alive, but you do you. The zest makes the best marmalade. I dry the pulp and add it to my Personalized spice mix. PS.... this is a fantastic Yule tide gift. Thanks and Hugs from Esquimalt
I was restocking my pantry and freezer today as well. Ran 2 loads through my canner of pork chile verde. Made a large batch of guacamole and scooped into individual servings to freezer and then vacuum seal (I'm the only one in my home who will eat it). When I make broth I buy Additional chicken backs and feet. In addition, I will add fresh turmeric, black pepper, celery, carrots, onions, I do not add salt at this time. When I use the broth In a dish or soup, I will add salt at that time. For several years, I put everything in a crockpot on low, but I find with time The heat build up and it starts to boil. So now I put it in my big stock pot bring it to a boil, then transfer the stock pot to the oven with a temperature around 250 for 12 to 18 hours. I want barely a simmer - Just a bubble appearing here and there
Ok, but as an English person, I think you're the only person over the pond who has made actual English Muffins. Everyone else I've seen make them have made a crumpet/muffin cross, where the crumbly texture is more doughy, with the classic crumpet lines for butter. Might I recommend Pizza Muffins - which is essentially a mini-pizza made on half a muffin. Perfect summer lunch!

Hi Becky, love everything you do you're very skilled; love when your parents help you with your garden you and Josh look very much in love. Thanks for all your wonderful meals.
Great news, you can use a grill ( I use an electric grill ) with large mouth canning rings, about 8 minutes on each side, and cover with a jelly roll pan. It makes an oven of sorts on top the stove. Hope this helps, I make English muffins all the time, and they come out nice every time.
I took an afternoon to reorganize my freezers (chest, standup, drawer and top) Ridiculous how random they were! Hands got cold but it was Worth It. Pork all in one. Beef & wild game separated in one. Ready to use in the drawer. Jars of marinara & various bone broth in the top. Very Liberating!!! ❤
Busy day…..I’m now 75 but learned to put up veggies in the freezer from my mama, that came from my daddys garden each year. Enjoyed blanching & freezing more than canning. Grew up in Florida and canning made the kitchen really hot😂😂😂
Becky, take the gallon container of your honey, stick it in your instant pot on a trivet of some sort or canning rings, add water to 2 inches or more, and set to warm. Crystallization BeGone! I had to do that to mine.

Another great freezer jam is peach/raspberry. I make them separately and mix them together and put them into a larger jar when I’m ready for a jar. It’s delicious
You are so lucky where you live for the fresh sweet strawberries you grow! I have to purchase mine from the store. We just bought some very good ones. I am in process of inventoring our pantry to see what I need to use before more of our garden matures.
Becky I am almost 74, but you inspire me to be more frugal and do more “homemade”. Thank you. I am so glad I found your channel.
Hello from Canada 🇨🇦! You inspire me big time, Becky.
Thank you 🙏🏼
I took an afternoon to reorganize my freezers (chest, standup, drawer and top) Ridiculous how random they were!
Hands got cold but it was Worth It.
Pork all in one.
Beef & wild game separated in one.
Ready to use in the drawer.
Jars of marinara & various bone broth in the top.
Very Liberating!!! ❤
Wonderful. I see the love in the way you cook. Many blessings to you and your family. I really love watching you make these creations. Thank you!
I love your channel! You have inspired me to cook more. My husband died 10 years ago and I loved cooking for him. I’ve just been cooking minimally. It’s just me..but I do love to cook. I also love to share what I make so nothing is wasted. I don’t recall where I got this, I add a small shake of nutmeg in my Mac & Cheese. It just adds another element to the flavor with cheese. Can’t explain it properly. Just can’t mess that up!
You can freeze dry and blend the bones from the broth give it to the chickens or put it in the garden.
Love Love Love that Josh is working with you! Love when you cook with your mom! Also will Josh ever cook a meal for us??
Thank you, Becky for keeping me company on my way back home from the airport! I dropped my husband off at 5 AM this morning and had an hour drive back home. I went to bed late and got up at 3 AM and listened to your video on my way back home so I would not fall asleep lol. We do things much the same and I always enjoy watching and listening to your videos. I Get a lot of great ideas for future projects.
BECKY next time you get your honey, put it in pint jars.Make it so much easier.
I’m going to do this! We buy a gallon at a time from a local farmer’s market. Pint jars-brilliant!
@@nancyfinney5505 Thank You,I'm glad this helped. Also her molasses.
If Becky makes jam- she’s probably going to want homemade English muffins to go with it. 🥰🥰🥰 I feel another kids book series coming on.
In case you didn’t see, Becky did a livestream a day or two ago making jam and buttermilk biscuits. To view it, you have to look under the LIVESTREAM tab. It doesn’t show up with just her regular videos.

She linked it at the end of this video, too.
🤣😂🤣
My husband and I LOVE making our own chicken broth and canning it, this past year we made Turkey broth from the carcass of our Thanksgiving turkey!
Becky. The center oval burner is designed for a griddle ,rather than using the two side burners. Have fun
I didn't know you can freeze flour and sugar, Thank you How do you know if it's still good is there exp dates on your containers.learnin so much from you .where did you learn all this . Your so young 🎉
Hi Becky! I had to cuckle when i saw who's English muffin recipe you used. I love John Kanell! I've learned so much watching him. He's the reason I drove my husband crazy with anything I could buttercream on!😅
Cook’s Country (by ATK) has an English Muffin bread that makes two loaves and when sliced and toasted tastes just like English muffins without having to use the EM rings.
I could watch you all day! It’s a bummer when the video has to end. 😁. Looking forward to all the fun garden videos!!
It’s great that you enjoy your new mixer, but as I only have a Kitchen Aid, I appreciate when you demonstrate recipes with that device.
I was watching a Little Hill Homestead video and she puts flour in a little shaker to help when dusting. I tried it and it is great. I like the more even distribution of the flour gives you.
I love watching Acre Homestead. Becky and her mom are so organized. My mom and I would always get all holiday meals ready for the family! My mother has passed so now it is my older and younger sister that we get together for the holidays. Thank you for all the recipe ideas. ❤😊
Hello Becky, I love spending time with you in your kitchen. Your skills are fantastic and I get extremely inspired to create fresh meals. You are a joy! 💕🤗
Last year, I freeze dried all my celery leaves and made a celery salt. And it's AMAZING! I love it so much .
Thank you for explaining the honey! I was actually wondering why you kept getting new spoons! Had no idea about the moisture!
You might want to check out the Rose Red Homestead video on the electric pressure canner comparison. It changed what I ultimately purchased.
Thank you, Becky 😊 Blessings to you and your family. Your teaching techniques are very helpful for me and my family, which saves me time and money 💰 .
Well now I need to make English Muffins and Freezer jam! TY!❤
A suggestion for using your canned brussheta tomatoes use the jar, juice, and all for pasta sauce. Add a can of tomato paste to thicken.
Great video! Would love the link for that pitcher if possible please!
Raspberries are my favorites! I used to be able to go pick them in the wild while living in Alaska.
