This is so real! I graduated in 2019 and just began a full-time job. Re-learning who you are outside of the context of school is scary, but also exciting.
I noticed this on another video I was watching yesterday and that person also had time stamps in their description, I wonder if it’s an update on TH-cam that they’re now implementing or if the creators do it intentionally?
I’m 31, single, and still don’t know where my life is going. It’s ok that you are not “on time.” The future will come when it comes and you just have to embrace it. The best opportunities are the ones you have not planned for.
I LOVE this new feature from youtube with the "sections" and timestamps! (at least I think it's new, I've never seen it before today lol) it will make re-watching videos for tips, advices and reminders so much easier hahah also, great video! your content is always so on point. I also graduated last year, in the end of the year though, but, unlike you, I am working my way into my masters!

I'm in my last year of college and I really want to be done, but at the same time, being done with school sounds so daunting. Specially with that loss of structure you talked about. I'm pretty good in turning school work on time, but I'm terrible with self-made deadlines... I try to set them but it just doesn't work at all. If there's no real consequence for not doing it, I will probably put it off. Even if it's stuff I really want to do, I just... I can't. It's frustrating. I'm always like "oh, I have to do this... 'kay, I'll do it later" and that later never comes. I'm not sure of how exactly I'm gonna handle myself after school is over, specially because I'll probably work freelance.

I went to college and after that I studied computer engineering and then did my masters degree and all that took me around 6 years... It was never what I WANNA DO or WHAT I LOVE TO DO... But I come from a country where the society and most of the people there think that you're a failure if you don't go to university or graduate as an engineer or a doctor! After all these years that I wasted, and even after working in the field for a few years, I couldn't stand my life anymore and I hated it for MY ONLY DREAM & PASSION has always been to become a musician/producer cuz I feel the need to share my music with the whole world... But back in my country, I couldn't find the support needed... So I decided to quit everything and this whole routine and I just became a flight attendant... Now even though I'm not so young anymore, I have more time with this new job to finally work on my passion... I still wanna be hopeful and I believe that I can still achieve my dream... It's never too late... But at least, PLEASE DO NOT DO THE SAME MISTAKE. In other words, if you have a dream that you wanna achieve, start working on it RIGHT NOW :)

I find myself thinking a lot about my life after graduating, especially during this time. As a 3rd year Rotman student, I find it very comforting to get a perspective from someone who has already completed the program and is keeping it real and honest with their own experiences. Keep doin what you do :)
I'm in my final year now, exams cancelled, graduation cancelled and looking for jobs and it's honestly depressing lmao I hope I can turn this around though!!
I totally agree with you on taking your time to reflect on what you've accomplished graduating. I was so anxious last year before graduating. But I've come to the realization that what's meant for you will arrive at the right time, including Bschool for those who do want to pursue it as me.
I think you gave a great answer on graduate school. It really is personal. For me, I applied 3 different times over the course of 5 years and the first two times were within a year of graduating and just kind of not knowing what I wanted to do with my life. My parents were pushing me towards graduate school, but they also weren't going to pay for it, so it's a huge financial decision as well. By the time I got through the application process, I just wasn't feeling it so when I got rejected from the school, I was ok with it. 5 years after graduating with my undergrad degree, working at 2 different companies, in 2 different states and traveling, I felt I was ready to narrow down my concentration and apply. I learned in my other application experiences, you really had to know that it was what you wanted and also the job experience has been very valuable in my program. I can also say after 2 years of being in grad school part time and working full time, I am feeling a little burnt out. Of course quarantine doesn't help. But I counting down to graduation in May 2021.
this could have not come at a better time! I'm graduating this July and I am a bit afraid of the next chapter of my life! so glad to hear everything went well for you ♥

I am still not sure if my graduation ceremony is still on the schedule but since our Covid19 Cases are left with 1 active case, i am hoping for a ceremony to come. Nevertheless if there is no ceremony, i would be salty about it but it is for the best. I hope my post graduate journey will be a fun roller-coaster. 🌼

I graduated with my bachelors in December '19 and got my first job in march right before the covid took over, but i was put on furlough and had to file for unemployment. it was such a devastating turn that my life took and it made me really depressed. i have thought before of what makes me happy and decided to focus on that so i will be moving to a new city at the end of july, and away from my hometown. im excited for this move but nervous too. any tips for new city life, as im coming from a very small town. also i am wanting to work in social media and stuff like that with a blog and maybe even a channel of my own so if you had any self help or how to books that could help jump start that process, because im very ignorant when it comes to the SM industry, that would also be greatly appreciated, thank you so much in advance and i love your channel!!!
