We visited with great pleasure the museum of BMW Mottorad in 2011 during the test drive of the BMW R1200RT through the roads of Bavaria. I cannot imagine the immense pleasure of contemplating the 100 years of BMW Mottorad with this exhibition... Good work and congratulations to the BMW team.
Really excited to check this out soon! I've owned two of the bikes briefly shown in the drone fly by, have to say the new ones don't excite me as much as the old, but I think that's just my personal preference. Glad to see the new ones still are mostly flat twins and with a driveshaft, true to roots.

Wow, 256 km/h (160 mph) in 1932 😮😮😮 Can't even imagine they had tyres these days that didn't blow up at that speed. 🏍️ Very impressing - sure worth a visit 👍🏼
It seems that most of the current BMW Motorrad marketing focus is the R18 and while it's an impressive bike in all its versions, I don't think it's what most BMW Motorrad customers want. The only bike I'd trade my G310GS to have would be a G310GS Adventure, with a 5 gallon fuel tank, tubeless spoke wheels and maybe fully adjustable suspension, a color TFT display and a couple of rider modes. I'd eagerly pay US$2000 more for an Adventure version of my beloved G310GS, but keep it lightweight and fairly simple. Motorcycle manufacturers were apparently forced to begrudgingly provide a small ADV bike, but they all treat these small adventure bikes as beginner bikes intended to leverage customers into a brand loyalty upgrade to a mid sized or full sized adventure bike and BMW Motorrad is no different. The manufacturers need to understand that many of us do not want a big adventure bike, but we're willing to pay for what we want. In many cases, the preference for a smaller ADV bike is to make off road riding less work and more fun. Some of us are becoming too old to flog a 1300 cc GS on single track trails and through deep sand or mud despite BMW's insistence that it is possible with enough training, devotion and dedication. Smaller riders, particularly women, also appreciate smaller bikes. Small ADV bikes are not just starter bikes or bikes for the Asian market. I've made many upgrades to my baby GS to address its shortcomings but the one thing I can't fix in the aftermarket is the 2.9 gallon (11 liter) fuel tank. That's too small for an adventure bike... even one with the fuel economy of the G310GS.
This video was nice but more of a teaser. How about a much less produced video with more detail. It could be as simple as walking through the BMW Motorrad museum, and panning slowly across each motorcycle, then inserting two seconds of the text for each bike explaining what it is and the significance to BMW Motorrad development so we could pause the video and read the descriptions for the bikes that pique our interest the most.

No, not a reffried/reissued R 9T or an R18 with a chromed Tank and a small plate in the Tank, I mean a real new motorcycle to conmemorate the 100 years, same as you did when you released the R9T for the 90th aniversary. Alright. No need to have 100 years anniversary when the bikes sold nowadays get 100 years old technology! I'm talking about the gs i bought new in 2022 and which i am still waiting for the replacement led light I have been promised.

Women riders are not all the petite offroad adventure style rider build; many shorter men are not either. Make a retro BMW in a real model for real people that are not 6’ tall and want to tour. The R18 is not it either and ape hanger bars… if I want a harley, I would have bought one. Why do you think so many people sell their Rninet shortly after they buy them…
