This firmware bring's you the excellent Google TV Lean Back Launcher - This MXQPRO 5.1 hack firmware brings improved stability and the ability to run 3D game's better on your device - Overal, this is far superior firmware than the stock firmware found on the MXQPRO S905.
S905 systems are great, they are just held back by slow NAND memory chips and 1GB of ram - This firmware improves speed and performance.

It worked great so far everything is working used m7 pro it had the same board. Thanks for the tutorial. Haven't tried a regular controller yet cause I don't have it but rii8 works fine.

*Why can't somebody just use a USB flash drive? I have never found an answer for that question yet.*
nvm I guess you have to absolutly plug it in the port shown on the video and you have to plug it in numerous times to get it to connect to the pc, that or you usb cable is broken some how. when ever you do this you just need to know that your device needs to be running android 5.1.1 for this to work and do exactly all the steps from file placement to where things are plugged in it should work. its december 2018 and i just did it so it still works.

My MXQ box doesn't recognize by windows. Tried using 2 different laptops. In both the laptops it's detecting as an Unknown device. Is there any way that I could install the drivers manually?

I do like this custom rom, but it's not for all P201 boards...I flashed my MXQ PRO 4K.... BUILD P201-userdebug 5.1.1 - LMY47V 2016 5/30 test keys..... BOARD 9-09-2015 CS-905 MXQ V1.0 with this rom & didn't have any WI--FI connection (before and after changing date & time with wireless remote) & couldn't use the IR remote that came with it...Also I have a SAMSUNG chip not a reltec chip also 1gb rom 8gb store, So can you maybe help me find a custom rom firmware upgrade for this box....? A little help here please...

There's another much better Android TV rom for the s905 called atvXperience. But it's only a beta rom and unfortunately seems to be discontinued. But everything seems to work fine straight out of the box. It's even Android 6.0.1, so it's an upgrade, and some apps that wont work on my stock rom work with this.

Hello nice video I have MXQ PRO 4K my box is 5.1.1 I was trying to update to 7.1 but some how give me a problem for Erase bootloader said 4 times, than I stop doing it when I plug my box plug in to TV updated 22 Apps. Everything works well. Can you please tell me I can not find upper level Firmware for my box. When you get a chance please let me know.
As with several other posters, the stock remote with my box doesn't work with this rom. My box has an S905 motherboard p201, the only difference seems to be that the box doesn't have "4K" written on it. The model number is: MXQPRO N. Any idea how to fix it?
Either use a wireless remote or transfer ir config file into etc folder, tutorial is on this channel.

I managed to install this rom on a Transpeed s905 TV box with succes. The only thing is: the box originally had 2gb Ram, now with this rom it only has 1gb of Ram. Can this be corrected one way or another? Thanks in advance for any replies.
Your box will only have 1GB of Ram, this is why the replacement OS reports it that way. Happens all the time with cheap boxes, they just modify the original OS to report 2GB.

Hi, thanks for the firmware. I want to know how I can get apps I use to appear on the home screen, cause some apps don't apprear. I tried going into the Homescreen settings but it doesn't let you do anything except changing the order of homescreen apps.

This is built for p201 S905 boards - Iv no idea what you have but it could very well contain a board suitable for this firmware.

Kodi 17 should run just fine on your box ? Netflix will need to be installed from Aptoide or can side load the APK

Hello, I realise this is a bit random but found an old mxqpro box with a 905 chip & android 5.1. It won't let me turn on the wifi, it did the first time, I ran ares to clean start it & now the button remains grey, any help would be much appreciated. Ps I knew when I found this I'd be better leaving it well alone & not wasting a day off work messing but too late now
Might be something on the stock firmware that's failed or the system needs reset - Can also try booting libreelec using our guides or install this firmware, hard to tell without seeing it myself

Hmm I didn’t think so either but strangely it doesn’t connect. It’s not recognising the box when plugged into the PC. I’ll try a USB 2.0 cable just in case.

I want to connect IR touch screen to my MXQ pro but when I plug the usb, nothing happen, IR touch manufacturer told me its because my kernel and I have to write this code "ID: VID = 04B4 PID = C001" for my mxq, but I don't know how can I do that, any one know about it?
I am not sure what your meaning IR Touch Screen ? Can you elaborate a bit more
MXQ PROJECT Infrared touch screens operate on the basis of light-beam interruption, commonly referred to as beam break, to determine the location of touch events. I put this frame front of my TV to make it touch screen. when i plug the IR touch's usb cable to windows device its work fine but when i plug it to the mxq pro its not recognised. so manufacturer of the IR touch screen told me i have to change my android kernel to the ID that i wrote in above. and now i don't how can i do that.
Infrared touch uses light emitting diodes and sensors that are embedded in a bezel around the display and emit and detect rows and columns of infrared light across the face of the display.

This firmware doesnt have any other method, unless it has being updated since then - Check out the thread on the links in the description, coolio is the developer for this on freaktab and will depend if he has released a ZIP install fine or not.

wafik2002 Sounds like the power diode has burnt out. If you can take the back off and look to see if one of the little battery looking black diodes have risen higher than normal,normal being no silver showing under the diode,that means its basically junk now,cost to repair being to high.Power surge may be culprit.

The second question is my box don't go into recovery mode when I keep pushing the reset button with the paperclip he don't boot into recovery mode he boot normally but not into recovery mode.

I will appreciate a good answer on what I kan do to kan boot into recovery mode then I kan use also Liberec and other stuff...but for this I must go into recovery mode and on this moment I have no ways to go into recovery mode.

your current firmware must have a locked boot loader and is preventing your from loading recovery menu - libre-elec may or may not boot with this limitation, you also don't need to boot recovery to run libre-elec as it will run from SD card -

Depends what you want from it really, android always ran slow on the rk3229 - Their is other developments available such as libreelec if your a Kodi user.
