Curtis, on the 1st house, you were thinking of putting an Air handler in the corner of the utility room next to the water softener. That wall on the right had an electrical panel on it. In my area, you can't block access to an electrical panel. The area directly in front of the panel must have 36" clearance in front and 30" wide, that's NEC code. Whoever hooked up the DHW was no plumber, flex hoses and no shut offs, that's an insurance claim waiting to happen. I suspect the realtor is going to lose his shirt on this project. This is one of those jobs you should have brought Riley. Riley would have taken one sniff and dragged you back to the Van and safety.
Curtis did you really believe that you were alone in that first joint. You only heard one of likely several four legged creatures occupying that place. I would want that place stripped to the walls before commencing any installation. 👍👍🇨🇦
The first one looks like you/someone needs to install an a/c system with an excavator and a new house around it
Your a good man Curtis.
Yes, see the culligan name on the water softener. Very common up in Michigan!
You really see some stuff Curtis, God bless. The first house needs a bulldozer. It costs more to completely gut and redo all they need than to rebuild. To each his own I guess. You can bet those windows will be changed or should I say should be. The second call, I had to blink twice, I thought you were in the same place. The last call, most definitely needs a changeout. Good video, stay safe out there.
I’d quote that flip house a little bit higher to cover any extras that you might run into that second house it looks like that air filter could walk by itself
That first house......Culligan water softener system, resin tank and salt tank next to it.
Great video,good job,Curtis!
Water softener and salt tank
Thanks for posting this video
Anytime
Well Curtis, Good luck with getting the second job, with the first job, return with a Bulldozer and a big Skip container 😲 Au
That first house looks less like an HVAC project and more like a demolition project.
I was thinking drugie house, but demo occurred to me.
If the city can clear that first house of any asbestos, it would make a beneficial fire training exercise for the local fire department.
I couldn't agree more.
@@HomeOrchard good idea
Maybe a REPO house
The second place looked there wasn’t enough ductwork for even a 2 ton on that air handler. The first place, I don’t think even a hot bleach shower would make me feel ok after being in there.
Always good to have a hundred foot tape in the truck
Curtis, all the dogs seem to like you.
That first one is more of a tearer downer than a fixer upper.
Just needs a little paint and that place is ready to go!
You need a longer tape measure..
After viewing some of these outdoor units that are buried in vines and branches, you almost need some landscapping equipent or at least a miniture chanisaw to handle some of the obstructions.
Hello love watching your videos, keepem coming .
Will do
I see an HVAC/zombie video game possible now
Hi from england.just watching the video .how about how much u charge for jobs u do .❤
Petting random dogs seems to be a service guy thing
A brine tank and water softener
That's a water softener 😊
I know you showed it in a different video but what was the app you said you like to use for your invoicing and quoting? Thanks for all you do!
Just started using Housecall pro. But internally still using QuickBooks online
Built on a slab means the line set has to go in the attic?
First house: if you're not careful, you might get bit by... anything! How does a house get like that? I mean, the neighbors mush have been dumping trash in that house? Perhaps they should just start with ceiling fans and see how that goes??
A little TLC and a big pile of money and it will be just fine .
Landlord special
second place, looks like the charge and oil vented on the side of the building, seeing the brick staining pattern.
Need to get yourself a measuring wheel. Ditch the tape measure for that job.
laser measures work nice.
The second one. Is that the transformer screaming
It was the contactor that was making that noise. It definitely needed to be replaced.
Need a hazmat suit for that first place. Can't imagine the roaches and other vermin under all that junk.
Called you too early on that first one.
How do people live like that? Would you do the install yourself or sub that out? Love your video's keep em coming.
I have a carrier. It never gave me headaches. Now, the plumbing for the ac is another story. Do they teach hvac guys basic plumbing?
That first house looked like bulldozer bait!!!
Until the first one is cleaned out, it looks like a waste of your time. I have to wonder if the second one was a handyman cousin installing something he got out of a junkyard.
Prob a milwalkee tape measure
I would hope the owners of the first house replace all windows and exterior doors, insulate the walls and attic before they consider central air and heat. With the condition of the property as it is, it seems they will be fixing it up quite a bit. Also, if the air handler will fit in the attic, I would put it up there to keep the existing space they have now for other needs. Now would be the time to do the upgrades or tear it down and start over. While they are in limbo, they might want to get all of the overgrowth in the yard removed.
Would be very difficult to insulate the walls and you just don't see many people doing that but as far as the attic goes yes you can pile it in deep and put some exterior doors and some decent windows in would help a ton
@@Vfh........y Yes, but in this home, its very likely they might be tearing into some walls for windows etc. If they do, the place is empty, its a mess and one more step to help the HVAC work as well as sound deadening etc. it could be worth their time if they get into the exterior walls. Obviously, if no...wall insulation would be a large job on its own.
looks like that place needs a few days with a excavator and dump trucks...
Mr Curties , please when u r eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeexplaining the difrent wires in a unit , please slow down n explain were r the wires are giong n coming from , Please !
You need a weed Wacker in your tool kit.
I'd be walking away from that job.
First portion of this video seemed like a horror movie.
Why spend money on rebuilding that first house. It's horrible. Tearing it down and building new would make sense
Are you sure it wasn't a Crack house that was raided
Hi bro
