There is a song called 'Johnny Cope' which is about the battle itself and there are lots of different versions, but in all honesty - I can see the song that you have found working so well in the style of your work, you know - in the background of the clashes of swords and cries. @georgehunter7099 the 42nd were part of packs brigade along side the 92nd and the 1st royal Scots. While you are correct about heavy casualties they took part in fighting against d'erlons attack.
this sounds more like the RSDG and also this was never played at the Battle of Waterloo since that was 1815 and Scotland the Brave was from the late 1800s
42nd (Royal Highland) Regiment of Foot - also known as the Black Watch - and the 73rd (Perthshire) Regiment of Foot were both present at Waterloo. These regiments would be amalgamated in 1881 to form The Black Watch. Not just the Gordons
@kawa4659 Those you are referring to were the 71st Highlanders, not the 42nd (Royal Highland) that this video alludes to, they never fought in the invasion of 1807, the 42nd merged with the 2nd/73rd Highlanders in 1814, but they had nothing What to do with '71 or any invasion of Buenos Aires. As I am an Argentine in favor of history correctly told, I must tell you to check your sources.
At the start of the video Gordon says the 92nd will advance which means it’s the 92nd regiment of foot (The Gordon highlanders) which isn’t the 42nd regiment of foot (The black watch)
"Does Wellington have nothing to offer me but these Amazons?"
Does Amazon have nothing to offer me but these wellingtons?
@Dearth_Vader, at least they will keep your feet dry.
I don't know what they'll do to the enemy but by god they frighten me

Like the use of the 92nd will advance from Waterloo but the Black watch is 42nd regiment of foot
Yes. I just wanting some words in the background. Maybe it is an officer of the Gordon’s distantly yelling
I was gonna point that out but you already did
Well said that man, I believe that the 92nd are better known as the Gordon Highlanders.
@@Theglobalhistoryproductions not entirely wrong since both of these regiments were in the same brigade. :)

Yep
One small detail. The quote from the film says the 92nd, but the black watch were the 42nd Highland foot
Yes. I thought of it as an officer in the distance shouting to his regiment. I just wanted some commentary though
