  • 👋 Take a look at the newest 2023 Nissan Maxim! This 2023 Nissan Maxima Platinum is a midsized sedan with a lot of nice features. You get a powerful V6 engine and a roomy interior with nice leather along the seats and a cool material for the dash and doors. Driving the new 2023 Nissan Maxima is a nice place to be. While it has a CVT transmission, it drives nice and is very smooth. Peppy when accelerating and comfortable suspension. For around $46,000 it's a good chunk of money for sure. To be honest I don't really see much difference compared to a 2023 Nissan Altima with every option. Both are similar in size and the turbo engine the Altima is peppy too. Altima is also going to cost more than $10,000 less. So I feel for $46k the Maxima is demanding a lot of money and you can get a used Audi S4 or BMW M430i for the same money and those are performance luxury sedans. So I'm curious why Nissan prices the Maxima so high for a platinum trim. Honda Accord is actually a good chunk cheaper and the outgoing Toyota Avalon is similar in price. The Maxima is a fine car and I have no complaints with the actual vehicle and it seems like a decent price for a brand new car. But that money can go a long way with other cars too. Hopefully a new generation Maxima is soon because there is a lot of older Nissan still in the 2023 Nissan Maxima Platinum.

    Have my SV since I bought it new in 2016. I now have 133,000 miles. Still pulls like a train. Not one issue with this car. Not one. I change the CVT fluid every 60,000 miles. I'm a Mechanical Engineer, so nothing gets overlooked (I also change that "long-life" antifreeze every 2-3 yrs; not 5).

    My most memorable Maxima was the 87-88 models and I had a 95 back in the day. This car was in a class by itself for many years until sales started to plummet and I dont think switching to the CVT helped much. What's sad is that I hear that after 42 years that this is the last year for this car. We'll have to wait and see what Nissan has up their sleeve.

    Thanks for reviewing Nissan vehicles, despite the criticism (although needed).
    I got a '16 Altima 3.5 SR. Miles 42,000 maintained well. However, been looking to upgrade either to the VCT Altima, Max or the Z. After exploring finance, of course. Lol.

    I have owned 4 maximas and have to say thay have been the most reliable, fun and easy to work on vehicles I have owned. Quality has always been a strength of Nissan. My first was a 1990, after that We owned a 2000. We purchased a 08 Honda Accord and only had it 10 months before realizing what a mistake we had made. We had nothing but problems with that car. From the brakes to the motor with cheap fit and finish we had to get rid of it. That lead me back to the next maxima which was a 09 SV. That was my all time favorite year. We just traded that in on a 2019 platinum with all the bells and whistles. The motor has stade the same which has Been rated one of the ten best motors of all time. Oil injected, chain driven timing belt which your sure to get 200000 miles out of it with regular maintenances. You really can't go wrong with this car. I'll be sad to see it go.

    although I am a fan of Nissan with prior ownership of both Altima and Maxima, and currently own a 2022 Nissan Rogue Platinium, I must say that for current Maxima need to have major surgery by removing and redesigning the entire interior with display remodeled if not this vehicle is not worth more than $3,6000 for the top trim.

      Yeah not a bad option! However I think it's pretty over priced. Nearly $50k for this? You can buy a very nice Audi or BMW thats way more premium and fun to drive for this money. Especially a god CPO. And you won't get hit with depreciating

    • @c05l24
      @c05l24 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BrosFOURRSpeed Sorry not buying it. People looking at this are looking for reliability and low maintenance cost mixed with some fun. They are cross-shopping this with Acura TL with a tech package or A-spec, Loaded Accord, former Avalon buyers who are now forced into a Lexus ES etc. These people have homes and families most likely and are not interested in the M340i nearing the end of its warranty and whose regular service costs are similar to braces for their little Bros for speeders.

    • @BrosFOURRSpeed
      @BrosFOURRSpeed  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@c05l24 yeah I can see that. But a buyer who’s willing to spend $50k OTD, for sure has looked at used luxury cars. Just look at the comments. Many people have made that same comment that you can buy a used luxury car at this price. If I was buying a sedan for this price. I’d go S4. Honestly just as reliable and way nice interior and performance. And better resale. You’ll spend more money buying this
