Another great vid....I was surprised for the price you pay for a traxxas that the servo was so bad ...you could really see the lack of weight in it by the way you handled it...thanks for the info👍👍👍
Love the previewing of something else you are going to look at. Do more at the end look at this! It's in the coming review. Previously on RC review lol
The best servo for the Xmax is the promodeler Ds1885blwr using a 4 s battery pack has almost 1900 Oz of tq . It’s pricey 270 ish dollars but It Is worth it if you don’t mind spending the money
I have the WIDEMAXX V1 and steering servo is a slouch for sure. I was very keen to enjoy it on the dirt track but the way the truck is setup now, it is not a good match to say the least. It would be great to see a series of videos to make MAXX at least acceptable or enjoyable on a dirt track. So, I humbly request for some HOW-TO videos on this line. Also, assuming that many would use MAXX with TRAXXAS SMART batteries, could you please create a video on how to convert it to use with Holmes Hobbies battery powered servos? One more request - Could you please add the link for purchasing the Arrma Tires you mentioned in the video?
Thank you for all of your work on servo reviews. I am upgrading the servo in my widemaxx and wanting to go direct power. In the Maxx would you look more at speed or torque? I am comparing the Holmes SHV500, ServoAF Model A, and AGFRC 66KG. What is your recommendation?
Perfect Pass monster. Look no further. Raz Shifrin invented it for speedrunners but it is good for bashers too. 56kg torque and extremely fast and precise. Higher kg is better but the Monster was designed to provide speed, precision, and torque without sacrificing any factors.
Which server horn do we use then since stock one doesn't fit the standard servo? I bought all the parts for the servo upgrade but now I wasn't prepared for the horn not to fit. What do you recommend?
It blows my mind that I have to invest a 100-200 $ (or € in my case) more in a 1000 $ car for some good (not best of the best) electronics. The same for the UDR, even more investment is neccessary... 🤔
Better to have an upgrade path than be stuck with stock. People take a 500$ Ryft and put 2.5k of parts in it. At least with the Maxx line, it's going to hold up to more abuse than it should unlike anything else. Stay away from the UDR if you are worried about 100$ upgrades.
@@Art-zs6sl Off course, optional Upgrades for looks and performance are highly appreciated, but they should not be "must have" on a 1000 $ car as the UDR. I love how it looks but chose the Arrma Mojave because of the problems, that people had with the UDR.
What's crazy is all other parts of the car are absolutely dialed! So the fact they'd ignore the servo just doesn't make sense. IT's the plague of the rc industry i guess.
Also, you list all the parts that we need to install everything. EXCEPT A servo horn to buy.. doesn't make sense. I bought all the parts that you said and it's not good enough.
You deserve way more subscribers. Top tier channel!
I appreciate that!
Definitely a top rc channel.
This couldn’t come at a better time. I’m changing out the servo in my xmaxx tomorrow
Whup, there it is.
Appreciate the great and honest advice. You have been very helpful to me. Thank you :)
Thank you very much for ur awesome video so helpful and they bring more joy to the hobby
thank you new to the hobby and the steering was hurrendous thanks for this purchasing the new servo now
Glad I could help
@RC Review got to fit it yet lol not jumping for joy quiet yet lol epic videos though thanks

You and me both! Shocked when i dug into that servo.
I have never seen any Traxxas electronics that is good except the old ones which made by castle for Traxxas. All traxxas electronics are garbage.
Agreed, this should not be the case on a 900 - 1000 € vehicle...
Cant wait for that Furitek 1/10 scale ESC and Motor, was pretty happy with their 1/24 scale stuff.

Thank for this video I want an x-maxx or just the wide maxx, but I don't like wheeling; I like running a course with it.
Toan didn't noticed he is going for 1/10th scale before march, that's some great news!
Also. Put on the aluminum hot racing servo horn and the steering assembly for the xMaxx. So much better now.
Awesome info.love the channel.👍

Arrma Mojave tires are here. Need two sets of these snp.link/7f18c495
Please show how to make the y harness to power the servo from one 4s battery pack on an XMAXX
Did you ever figure this out?
@@slick408 yes, just bought a harness on ebay or amazon
Got a link? I can't find anything, What's it called?
@@slick408 cant find it...but its 1 male trx and 1 female trx plug with an led 2 wire accesory red plug Jst i think
What kinda skinny tires you got there. Bet you have a great turning radius.

Great video!! What weight oil do you recommend in the front? Back?
What name and model servo did you place in that maxx, very much enjoy watching your videos and thank you.
Can you include a link for that powerful servo you talking about so I can buy it and for mount
That was a very informative video, will that servo adapter work with Xmaxx also? Awesome channel!!
@RC REVIEW which servo did you use on the wide maxx? / What servo would you recommend for it?

What tires/wheels are those?!
I couldn’t get the servo to fit into the servo adapter.
Was the servo a standard 20x40mm? That's what they make it for.
Great
What wheels and tires do you have on your xmaxx?
For my Maxx, these: snp.link/7f18c495
Thank you.
Haha, Mojave wheels. Nice
What's the name of the motor and ESC again
Furitek. 1/10 system
Why is my 2085x week
My “upgraded” servo for my Xmaxx stops working after a few jumps and a hard hit ......then it works again. 😤
I title should say Maxx, not "Xmaxx" right?
