Thank you for posting this. I’ve spent 2 decades suffering in excruciating pain to only have people (men) tell me I was being a wimp. I’m so glad to finally have a diagnosis and my pain validated by people like you who are doing the research. I’ve been told by women who have it and have also given birth that the pain I suffer during periods is worse than child birth. I’ve gone to 2 doctors to ask for a hysterectomy and both of them have told me to instead think about freezing my eggs because I “might want to have children one day.” I’m 39 and do not at all ever want to birth children. At all. So, I’m just suffering until I can find a doctor to help me or I reach menopause finally. Because of Adenomyosis I am extremely anemic and my life is constantly disrupted by bouts of debilitation.
When the dysmenorrhea and pain is at it’s worst, I don’t care if I die, I just want it to be over. It’s that bad.

I wish this Dr was here in the UAS, I am 48 years old and I have been suffering with Adenomyosis since 2015. This is the first I heard of a treatment for this, I was told there was no cure. And a hysterectomy is my only option. I have been in pain for years being told I had fibroids, and it was not the case. My pain started in my 20’s with my menses in 2002. I went so many years til 2020, I was referred to Surgeon/Gyn and she diagnosed my adenomyosis. I had horrific pain, clots and bleeding like a race horse. I would love to get this treatment. The only reason I have not gone through hysterectomy because my iron was too low and the down time I can’t afford to take off (entrepreneur)

You won't regret hysterectomy (unless you're trying to have a kid) it's so worth it tbh
I have this as well as a small fibroid. Dr. Put me on progesterone and it has greatly reduced how much I bleed and no longer passing large clots, but Still having weeks long periods, although they seem very light now. Dr. Suggested hysterectomy may be needed. Is your procedure used everywhere now, and does it usually work?
