I didn't use such marks, I barely drove 1000km in my life and I can fit through pretty much anything with my mondeo, my parking is right next to the stairs and in front of me there's a vehicle parked leaving me about 1.2m of distance between it and a straight forward going border, I have to move the vehicle as much as I can to the right and then come back to the left in order for the car to fit through the gap, imagine the skill and attention needed not to hit the car and not ruin the spoiler of my vehicle because of the border
Edit:oh and also there's stairs on my right so I have to be careful when moving to the right so I don't hit the stairs

I know many women are going to dislike me by saying this but I have to say way too many women are horrible drivers more so than men ever. Yes men do very stupid things driving fast and what have you with their cars but they have much more coordination and skill then women. Just today alone for example I was at my gas station and these two women pull up to the pump they must have pulled forward and backwards at least 10 to 12 times and then they literally had to have the woman passenger get out of the car and direct the driver forward she must have had at least 15 ft of clearance 15 ft in front of her car before she would have hit the other car in front of her. Even with the passenger directing her forward she almost squeezed her between the other car That was in front of her also filling up with gas. The female driver then got out of the car walked to the front of the car as if not to believe her female friend that was motioning her forward. Then she asked for the car in front of her to stop pumping his gas and move his car back and to put gas in her car. Even though they had more than enough room. The guy refused to put gas in their car and he also refused to move his they literally look like they were going to lose it. And we're screaming like it was the end of the world. Asking everybody at the gas station to help them And then yelled what are we supposed to do now. To make matters worse they didn't even have their car close enough to the pump for the hose to be able to reach the car and the cars gas tank was on the opposite side so then they had to reposition the car all over again and that literally took another hour and then they had to come in the gas station and pay because they could not figure out how to use their credit card at the pump. And I had to re explain to them several times to press what grade of gas button they wanted and reassure them that the pump is on but they still have to press the button of selection whether that be regular mid grade or super but they were like I have no idea so that took about another hour while at least 20 or more other people filled up in front of them. And then when they went to go pull away from the pump they almost took the pump out by completely oversteering all while still leaving the gas nozzle in the car and wound up driving away yanking that out with gas leaking from the upper hose snapping and rebounding back to their car like a rubber band which made a loud popping sound as it hit the metal of their car making a loud impact sound which then made them literally peel rubber trying to leave the gas station they must have heard the loud sound and apparently freaked out I know the whole gas station heard it so they must have heard it from inside the vehicle when it hit the car. but did not stop instead they gunned it out of the gas station without even looking at the opposing traffic almost caused a huge wreck thankfully the cars in the road pulled around them then they just sat there blocking traffic. And screaming at the other vehicles. I could understand if it was teenagers but these were full grown woman at least in their upper forties.. I see stuff like this all the time at the gas station repeatedly pretty much every day and going through the car wash is a whole other nightmare for women. Constantly breaking the car wash and causing damage to their cars. Because they literally freak out. They have no idea how to judge distance they have no idea how to put air in a tire much less change a tire they have no idea what an oil dipstick is and almost all of them drive with the seat so forward that they look squashed between the seat and the steering wheel. What I don't understand is how women can be so smart at so many other things admittedly even smarter than most men however when it comes to driving or understanding anything about a vehicle most of them are helpless. Just telling you how I see it on a day-to-day basis and I've worked at the station for many years. At least 20% of them don't even know how to pump gas. I constantly get asked to pump the gas for them. I have never once been asked by a man of any age to pump gas. unfortunately our gas station does not have extra employees to pump gas we are required to stay behind the glass not allowed to leave the interior of the station unless it's a handicap person then we literally have to lock the doors put the closed sign up on the door so no one enters the station because it's usually just one employee working at a time and walk out to the handicap person and pump their gas for them it's part of state law. which I totally understand. But we cannot be doing it for every non-handicap woman that asks us to the gas station is just way too busy.. I have never once been asked by a man to pump gas nor have I ever seen a man have a hard time pulling into the gas station or judging the distance of the pump or the cars around them nor have I ever had a man have a difficult time using the car wash.. other than occasionally entering the code wrong. But they don't drive through the car wash sideways they don't freak out going through the car wash.

I live in China and I can say:
I've never seen worse drivers then Chinese.
    Five things are particularly irritant:
    1. Very, very slow reactions on semaphore. Do they sleeping or playing phones i don't know, but it takes 10 seconds just to start moving when green light turns on.
    2. Racing in the crowd.
Between two semaphores, or on crowded highway, they will change lanes hundred times like another lane always seems faster. Left-right, left-right, left-right, left-right...
    3. War for territory.
Winning every inch of empty space is a must no matter on consequences. Then hundreds of cars stuck.
    4. Evil.
    Blocking another driver on purpose.
If you give a signal for turning and want to change a lane, the driver behind, even though he's far and not affected by your turning, will speed up just to block you.
    5. Chinese drivers don't see further then the first car in front of them.
This one is commonly seen on highways. Driver behind will persistently blinking and beeping to push you go faster, no matter you are blocked by others.
Driving in China causing faster ageing.

Also, 30 cm from the curb is rude as in most cases your rear end will be exposed to potential scratches from other drivers. Each day I have to navigate withing a couple of centimeters. I envy flat cities who built roomy parking spaces.

He is not saying this the same for every car. Picking reference points in your car when you park for example choosing a point of reference to help you know how close you are to your garage door. Allowing you to know exactly how close you are without hitting it. This is a skill that is used on track everyday by racing drivers. It allow them consistent laptimes. Consistent laptimes are less than half a second from one another. It is a tool taught in racing schools. So NO he is not saying this is the be all end all. He did say to pick a point in your for your own car which different. Please listen carefully to his words next time.

What about cars with higher ground clearance like SUVs & minivans? Certainly not with all cars! Thanks for sharing anyway!

I have several vehicles, all different ground clearances. The view is completely different from all of them.
And their headlight heights are also different. None the same.

Liar.. it depends on many factors such as the height of the person or the seat position. I agree with the other comment that your postings is misleading since you are making appear as applicable to all.

Well it’s like 50/50 with me sometimes I park perfectly even it’s too tight in there , but sometime i struggle to park straight even when there is plenty of space, and now I’m just tired of it ,in the future if I ever buy a new car I’ll just sure it has parking sensors.
